The PS5 has been out for a few weeks now and there's certainly some elements that are still rough around the edges, as well as other features that are still awaited. Here's a starting list of the common themes that seem to crop up frequently:-
Let's hear your creative thoughts beyond the usual stock issues & bug fixes.
Disclaimer: I like the game. The story missions, the art, the animations, everything is fantastic. But an RPG this is not. This is from the perspective from someone who loves roleplaying games and feels handicapped at the moment. I'm leaving bugs and glitches out. The list is in no particular order.
Edit: This obviously gained more traction than I imagined and I will no longer add to it. Keep note I added many suggestions from other redditors to my initial list. Thank you for the awards. Feel free to bring it to the developers and post it elsewhere, no credits required. I don't intend to convince anyone or advocate what roleplaying means. I still think CDPR is one the best companies out there. Don't trade insults over a game, it's foolish. Cheers.

I feel like I can never find the answers I’m looking for now, I have to sift and sift. I tried finding how many people died in 2019 vs 2020 in America and I couldn’t find it anywhere. I’m having this issue with basically everything I’m googling.
We love the sport because it's fast-paced, it's aesthetically beautiful, there are tons of games to watch, and the small teams mean individuals and their storylines take on outsized importance compared to other sports. The recipe is there for the NBA to be dramatically more popular than it is right now.
Instead, we get:
It's just a complete farce. The games should be ad-free outside of time-outs and half-time, with folks in the booth who know and importantly like the modern game. LeaguePass should enable you to watch every game in 4k without spoilers regardless of what market you're in. The NBA YouTube channel should be posting condensed ~12 min highlights from each game, so you can easily catch up on a night of action without missing much. If the league was broadcast that way it would be a much more engaging and enjoyable product. The games and highlights being so difficult to engage with really hurt growth imo, and they have definitely decreased my enjoyment of the league even as my love for the sport itself grows.
I grew up watching soccer, and while you can argue about which sport is more exciting I never once had an issue with the quality of the broadcast product. I got to watch the whole game, with no ads except at half-time, in great quality and with generally very good announcers. It wasn't mind-blowing quality or anything, but it didn't take away from the spectacle. The quality of the NBA's various broadcast products actively detracts from enjoyment in a manner unlike any other sport I watch.
I'm looking at you, 1% move speed at 20% quality Anger!
I absolutely love the high fantasy genre, but honestly, it's been pretty hard to find what I'm looking for in most media. There aren't that many high fantasy movies out there, unless it's part of an already existing major series like Star Wars. And until now, I've only owned a Nintendo Switch, so high quality narrative wasn't really an option in most of the games I played. So for a while, I just stuck to reading Brandom Sanderson's books to fuel my high fantasy desire.....but finally, my PS5 shipped, and I jumped right into God Of War 2018 a few days ago.. And holy shit, this game is awesome!
The combat is easily some of the best I've ever played, and I've decided to play it on "Give Me A Challenge" mode for my first playthrough. Sure, I'm dying a lot, but the combat is so clean and refined that everything feels like a fair fight. But gameplay aside, it's the characters and the world that really define this game for me.
The relationship between Kratos and Atreus really helps get me invested in the plot. From Kratos's fear of showing emotion to his son, and Atreus's fear of not living up to his father's expectations. It's a pretty emotional story, and I'm not even halfway through. And the lore man, it's really freaking good! The writers took the Greek and Norse lore, and re-wrote it to fit the plot, and everything just ties in so well.
And the world, man the world! This game's art and design is just full of creativity and life. The designs of the environments, the monsters, even the little details like Kratos's Leviathan Axe and his uniform. Everything about this game just screams creativity. This game's artistic design really pushes the high fantasy aspect to the max. The game manages to keep it's dark, grim tone, while also filling the world with vibrant, colorful scenery. This is the kind of adventure filled high fantasy game I've been wanting to play for so long!
Sorry if this post sounded a bit circle-jerky, but I just had to talk about this game, because it is easily my favorite game ever, and I haven't even finished it. Right now, I'm at the part where I shot this boar, then met this Witch lady, who to put it simply, is not happy that I shot the boar. But even when I'm only a few hours in, this game has easily gained my attention. The writers and directors at Santa Monica studios have my respect, these guys are most definitely some of the most talented people in the high fantasy genre ever!
No more 15-second unskippable ads, no more pop-ups that block out the bottom of the video, no more 'sUrE, sKiP tHiS aD. jUsT lIkE yOu SkIpPeD oUt On BuYiNg AmAzOn StOcK, aNd GoOgLe, AnD aPpLe.' I can listen to a playlist while working without having to constantly switch tabs to skip the ads in between the songs. I can listen to an album without having the transitions between songs interrupted by ads.
I can't even begin to describe how refreshing it is to have a video start straight away without having to endure some girl whining 'cLiCk ThE hOnEy BuTtOn. ClIcK iT! cLiCk It! ClIcKy cLiCkY cLiCk It!', or some dumbass fucking up a level in a mobile game.
Hell yeah. All hail adblock.
Edit: some people in the comments have told me that the particular adblock I installed isn't that great and I should use uBlock Origin instead. I've switched now, thanks guys.
My plumber told me this about fixtures. But I heard someone say this about appliances too. They’re cheaper builds because they’re priced cheaper.
I wanted to get the word out about this tool I made for TES games (and fallout). It lets you generate new voice lines using voices from the actual games. Nexus links below this showcase/trailer:
Edit: thank you everyone for your support. I should add, this is available for Fallout games, too:

Confession: I love Final Fantasy, but looking back, even though I've played almost every game, but I have only finished 2 of them: FFVII, and, recently, FFXV. It turns out, I start them, but never actually finish them.
I stopped toward the end of I, barely touched II, Never touched III, started IV, Got most of the way through V, got partway through VI (until now), hated VIII, got partway through IX, hated X, and never touched XI-XIV. Boy am I pathetic.
I decided a few months ago, I decided to play through FF VI, so I played the GBA version with the patched audio and colors. After 61 hrs, I finally finished the game, and here are my thoughts on it:
The most important part of any game; I enjoyed FFVI's gameplay immensely. It is a slight refinement of FFV's gameplay, but each character has their own job, just like in FFIV; however, some characters can equip items that change their special actions. Also, each and every character and equip Espers, which allow each character to use magic. I like this system, as, unlike FFVII, once a character learns one, he can keep it, allowing each character the freedom to be customized. Each character's special action is wonderfully useful in some way, some standouts though, are Edgar and Sabin, Locke, Terra, and Sabin. For me, even the random encounters were fun, they never got old no matter how many I ran into, and although grinding was not necessary, I ended up grinding Tyrannosaurs and Brachiosaurs just because it was fun. Boss fights were hectic and unique, I especially love how certain bosses have strategies you have to figure out, and some even have gameplay restrictions that spice things up.
I have to put these together, because, in a way, the story is the characters. Each one of the crew is given equal opportunity to become your main character. Each one has a story to tell, and by the time the World of Ruin comes around, each one splits off to deal with their own personal losses due to the catastrophe. Speaking of the the World of Ruin. The fact that you go through this tremendous adventure, with all of the false betrayal, reconciliation and hope, only to then LOSE is amazing. Not only that, some of the games best moments are character driven, such as this scene when you got to the opera and play through the song. How did they even get such complex music to run on SNES??? I had a tear or two in my eyes during the song... and then you bust in to stop... keep reading on reddit ➡
