The main points of the interview:
President Agnelli, the Superleague is losing pieces, is the project in danger of sinking?
"Between our clubs there is a blood pact, we are moving forward.
Do you think that the project can still be success?
"Yes, it has a one hundred percent chance of success".
How is it possible that three Italian teams of the Superleague, taking a bonus of 350 million, do not alter the balance of the Serie A in which they participate?
"The bonus of 350 million a year is false.
Why do you think that the Superleague will meet the preferences of younger people?
"Younger people want to see the big events and are less tied to the elements of parochialism that marked previous generations, including my own. One third of global fans follow two clubs that are among the founders of the Superleague, 10 percent follow the big players and not the clubs, two-thirds follow soccer more for "the fear of losing something" than for anything else, and the most alarming statistic is that 40 percent of those between the ages of 16 and 24 have no interest in the world of soccer. We're going to create a competition that simulates what they do on digital platforms - like Fifa - means we're going to meet them and face the competition of Fortnite or Call of Duty that are the real attention centers of today's kids, who will be spending tomorrow."
Do you fear that young people are abandoning soccer?
"Football is experiencing a huge crisis of attractiveness towards the new generations. Stadiums have been closed for a year for those who have children of 10-15 years of age they know this: they are interested in other things. It's a process accelerated by the epidemic."
What is the move to break the siege by the institutions of European and national soccer [towards the Superleague teams]?
"We have confidence in the goodness of our initiative that we believe will be successful in the short period. For this reason, we are keeping the dialogue with institutions, FIFA and UEFA.
Yet Uefa considers you "illegal".
"What we are doing is perfectly legal. We... keep reading on reddit ➡
Hey atobitt, if you can read this please take a look at this thesis in the link below. Thx and keep up your work!
i dont have time to read through it, i just found a pretty good overlook / scheme in the document:
Good Morning fellow Europoors and Galactic Apes
More info has surfaced to indicate the obvious: Pure Media F*ckery
** Please read the UPDATES at the end of this post
We've heard of it and most have seen Cramer himself talk about how he manipulated the market, but now we're seeing the degree of f*ckery play out IRL.
Now, you know HF's are done for when the media stays quiet ALL day while the $GME rocket is making a pit stop to pick up our fellow $350+ apes....
But the minute the price dropped ~ $170, we saw an influx of articles published about GameStop's "demise."
Our fellow intelli-ape u/PermitNo1490 pointed out how CNBC published an article within a couple of minutes of the short attack, pointing towards a coordinated tactic so we panic sell.
Now check this shiznitz out- this article was published at 12:41 p.m. EST, and the journalist himself stated "the shares lost all of those gains in a rapid decline around 12:30 p.m. ET."
So basically, he gathered data, wrote this article, edited it, added charts, and published it within 11 minutes?
From the horse's mouth, dude was microwaving some cock within those 11 mins. His multi-tasking skills are Next-f*cking-level.
Ladies and gentleapes, let me introduce you to this journalist at MarketWatch, published an article at 11:55 a.m. EST, yet the price drop occured well after.
**EDIT:** It's been brought to my attention that E*trade's app was experiencing a glitch an... keep reading on reddit ➡
Once again, those hedgies had a planned attack and also paid mass media for it.
The article was published at 4:39 EDT (Or 22:39 GMT+2) when $GME price was up at $190.
One hour later after the article was published (at 5:38 EDT or 23:38 GMT+2), GameStop was 12-13% down and they modified their article so it matches the reality. As you can see, in the first screenshot the title was "Gamestop shares fall 15%.." and one hour later the article had it's title modified to "Gamestop shares fall 12%..." SO ALL OF THIS WAS PLANNED.
THEY ARE TRYING TO SCARE US BUT WE ARE STRONG SMART APES.
BUY AND HODL. TOTALLY NOT A FINANCIAL ADVICE.
EDIT 1: Thanks for 48 upvotes. I took a screenshot of the post in case it gets reported. Keep upvoting so apes can see. Much love ♥️💎🙌
EDIT 2: Down below you have pictures proving what I said above.
EDIT 3: THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR UPVOTING AND ALL THE AWARDS ! HOLD THE LINE APES , WE GOT A BIG DAY TOMORROW !
For me, that would be Haruki Murakami.
He is the author that got me back into reading a couple years back. 1Q84 was a revelation and it holds a special place for me. Since then, I have been slowly and surely reading his back catalogue and his newer releases, whether they be full novels or collections of short stories.
I can't recall doing this with any other author even though I might enjoy singular works by other authors more than any of Murakami's books, but my completionism streak doesn't flare for anyone other than Murakami - don't ask me why; probably the atmosphere he creates in all his books, even though it is pretty much a hash-and-recycle formula of urban ennui, food preparation, cats, wells and missing persons wrapped in a blanket of magical realism, but it is my comfort read
Which author's works will you buy and read blindly, without even looking at book reviews, or knowing what they are about?
(Edit: title- she didn’t plagiarise the whole thing but used large chunks of it) Final update at the end of post.
Well, hi. I just wrote a huge post but it got deleted so here we go again! For those of you who saw my last post, thank you all for the support. For those of you who haven’t I’d suggest you do, cause this won’t make much sense otherwise! Or just keep scrolling, I can’t control you lol.
SO! at 12 am last night I get this sorry excuse of an email from my mum:
“This is the initial draft that I had that you had sent me for proof reading.I have carefully looked at the sentences that I borrowed, which I should not have at all, and have put them in bold, italics and underlined. I have drafted alternate formulations for you which you may consider and incorporate before meeting your advisor. .-- This may solve the problem. If there are still some similarities in somes sentences then please point them out and I will change them for you. You are submitting your thesis in August. I am getting my article's weblink removed which will be done shortly. I did a lot of research and reading before writing and some of the theories and general concepts of the role of media and media evolution in recent decades and its impact mentioned in your thesis have also been discussed and extensively written on by other scholars, writers and diplomats. The language differs a bit naturally because of each person's style of writing but the concepts and theories are everywhere. Your focus and thrust is totally different from that of my article. so please relax. “
Do you lot smell the bullshit and lack of accountability off this email as much as I do cause think is rannnkkkkk. Her essay is like 5k and about 2-3k of that is literally copy pasted my thesis. She says she borrowed it, but we know this is theft of Intellectual properly. This isn’t even a damn apology, and she’s telling me to change my thesis and she’ll help me change all the words??? Relax??? I immediately called her and told her she’s being insane and made her immediately contact the publisher. Because of the time difference and it being Ramadan, most Pakistanis are awake at like 3am around this time of year so he replied immediately saying he’ll get it removed in the morning (isn’t down yet). I made her send me screenshots of the correspondence and my sister is on her end also making sure she’s doing it. I’m not going to speak to my mum for a while so if I need anything from her I’ll ask my sister. I have... keep reading on reddit ➡
After two years of writing and editing and querying and worrying my book was finally published this morning as a Kindle exclusive. I couldn't be happier!
TL;DR basically the title. I’d sent her my draft for proofreading. I was talking to my aunt on the phone and she sent me an article my mum had published. Majority of it was from my thesis.
I have spent over a year of my time working on this research. I am absolutely furious. My aunt sent me this article my mum got published about south Asian media, and majority of it is a COPY-PASTE of sections of my unsubmitted Master’s thesis.... my university, like most others, uses proofreading and plagiarism softwares like TurninIt and we have strict plagiarism laws with huge fines..... My mum and I live in different countries, so when I called her to express how upset I was she just made excuses that she’s changed the wording completely and all this nonsense. She said she was feeling too sick to deal with me (she has food poisoning rn) and hung up the phone... she has since apologised, but I just feel so betrayed. I put in so so many hours on this and I trusted her with my work and she used it for her own profit. How fucked up is that? Like she didn’t even ask me, she didn’t tell me it was published , she didn’t even credit me. I could get into serious trouble and it didn’t even cross her mind. More than anything I feel kinda used. I’ve stopped crying now but I just feel really defeated. She said she’ll get it taken down but she still did that. Honestly it would be as if my mate sent me her thesis to proof read but I take chunks of it and get it published as my own work to support claims that don’t even directly have to do with that??? It just doesn’t make sense to me and I find it incredibly inconsiderate. She literally didn’t even think about what I’d feel, if I’d be okay with it, if I’d get in trouble nothing; she just felt entitled to it. I’m sorry for ranting but I’m just really upset. I don’t know if I should be this upset because she’s apologised and admitted she did something wrong but I only think she did that because I caught her . What do you think? Am I overreacting or do I have a right to be hurt and angry? I feel like my trust was broken...
Edit: Well damn, I did not expect this post to blow up this much! Thank all for the advice and the support, I really appreciate it. To answer some comments I’ve seen since it’ll be very hard to reply to everyone:
If we look at the first 5 Ownership we find
BlackRock Fund Advisors 14,174,839 03/31/2021
Fidelity Management & Research Company LLC 10,840,813
FMR Inc 9,276,087 12/31/2020
Fidelity Management and Research Company 9,276,087
BlackRock Inc 9,217,335 616,828 12/31/2020
Notice anything strange? there are 2 Blackrock and 3 Fidelity management in the account but let's break down the numbers. I would like to start by analyzing Fidelity:
Fidelity as we know sold its 9,276,000 shares on January 29, 2021, remaining with only 87 shares.
Average user : But the media is lying to us about all the data against gme !!!
ok let's go directly to analyze the 13G/A SEC filing on 2021-02-08:
Here it is stated that FMR LLC owns 9,276,087 shares of GME as of 12/31/2020.
Now let's analyze the 13g/A SEC filing filed 2 days later 2021-02-10:
Here it is attested that as of January 29, FMR LLC owns only 87 shares and has sold 9,276,000 shares.
it is a bit strange that both FMR LLC and Fidelity Management and Research company have the same shares don't you think?
Even if you wanted to dispute that they are still the same company but one a branch of the other, try looking for an SEC 13G/A or 13F or 13D filing of either company. Save yourself the time, you won't find anything, I've already searched. And if you want to search, always compare the company's Central Index Key "The Central Index Key is used on the SEC's computer systems to identify corporations and individual people who have filed disclosures with the SEC."
Now let's move on to the famous Fidelity Management & Research Company LLC which owns a whopping 10,840,813 shares.
The update is dated 3/31/2021. I have really searched every corner of the SEC website, every single company with the name Fidelity to look for this blessed Filing 13/G stating t... keep reading on reddit ➡
I recently picked up an Apple Watch and while I liked the look of many of the analog watch faces, I always found myself coming back to the digital ones because they were quicker to read at a glance. That's where I got the idea for this app from.
The app lets you add a digital time complication to any analog watch face. I've found it super useful as I can enjoy the look of the analog watch faces while keeping the instant readability of a digital face. Also, it's free!
This was also an interesting challenge on a personal level because I had to dive into some new technologies like SwiftUI and watchOS. Any feedback would be much appreciated!
UPDATE April 28: A few of you are reporting that the time is sometimes getting stuck. I have a fix for that in the works which should be out in the next few days. Thanks!
I've been trying to find a decent xianxia series for a while now. Already found some really good wuxia-level stories like The Breaker, Legend of the Northern Blade and Blood and Steel, but xianxia always seemed to centre around really unlikeable protagonists in a story that made no sense whatsoever.
Enter Will Wight's Cradle series. The first book was just 89 cents on amazon, and 294 pages, so it thought it worth checking out, especially with the myriad positive reviews I'd come across. I thought I'd read it and see if I wanted to add the rest of the series to my list.
It SUCKED ME IN. I read the first book. Then I read the second book. Then I realised I was screwed. Goodbye all my plans for the week.
Don't get me wrong, it's not High Literature. And while funny it's no Pratchett.
What it is, is pure literary cocaine. I couldn't stop. I had to find out what happened next. Wight grabbed me by the scalp and shoved my face through the screen. Yes, the power fantasy aspect can get a bit exhausting, especially when binging, but it becomes a lot more tolerable thanks to the fact that the male protagonist isn't an unlikeable jerk like so many xianxia protagonists. He's a really sweet guy who simply suffers from an unfortunate case of resting "I will murder you as a warning to your family" face, which combined with his imposing build gives entirely the wrong impression to people he meets for the first time.
And the female protagonist is allowed to shine! Repeatedly! Even up to the latest published book! This ain't no case of "Sakura falls hopelessly behind Naruto and Sasuke." As a matter of fact she's way stronger than the male protagonist in the beginning, and while he does a lot of catching up she's still a notch above him, and Wight shows it to us too.
Also no harem! Nary a hint. Which I don't mind telling you is mighty refreshing.
There's a lot more I could mention, but right now my eyes are hurting and I really need some sunlight, so I'll finish by telling you that one of the male protagonist's mentor figures is a giant firebreathing kung fu turtle. If you don't find that appealing then I don't know what to say.
Until later, when I feel human again. :D
