Hello everyone, today I decided to share a long form write-up that I have been working on for some time. I hope you enjoy. Other detailed and lengthy write ups about a variety of crimes can be found on my reddit profile - https://www.reddit.com/user/Quirky-Motor
So...I read almost every book regarding the murder of Laci Peterson and the trial of her husband Scott Peterson. This is what I found.
During lock down I watched some documentaries about the story which I previously knew nothing about, and then decided to dive deep into the case. At first, I felt bad for Scott Peterson. It really seemed like the guy was hounded by the media and did not get a fair trial, even if he was guilty as sin. But instead of jumping to conclusions about his involvement, I decided to do some research and then read every book I could on the case. I read books from different perspectives. Books that touted Scott’s innocence as well as those which condemned him,... keep reading on reddit ➡

What Laci was wearing when she went missing is somewhat of a mystery. Laci was found in tan maternity capris and a maternity bra. Her sister Amy, the last person who saw Laci conclusively, said she was wearing tan maternity capris, a floral blouse, and dress shoes when she saw Laci on the evening of the 23rd. Those clothes were found in the home during the search warrant. The blouse was in the hamper and the pants were in the hanging in the closet. Laci was found in very similar pants to the ones she was wearing on the 23rd, she may have had two pairs of the same pants. She was not found in a white shirt or black pants like Scott and neighbors claimed she as wearing. This was the outfit on Laci’s missing poster.
Scott refused to get Laci’s dental records for Modesto PD for weeks. He made excuses such as he didn’t know the address or couldn’t remember which dentist she went to. When police got the records, it showed that Scott and Laci went to... keep reading on reddit ➡
Both the red team and the blue team are implicated in this. Clinton and Trump. Ok? An international child trafficking pedophile ring is conducting a blackmail operation to leverage the world’s most powerful political leaders. Anyone thinking about this in terms of which side it helps more in the election or how it can be used to convince people to vote one way or the other just does not get it, and they need to think hard about what it would mean to really hold those responsible accountable.
We have laws against these things! We can prosecute! It’s a democracy, the people do have political power, we just have to work together to be strong enough to wield it.
Hi everyone, im new here.
Recently saw an article showing how low rape prosecutions & convictions are.
As someone with a daughter it frightens me how many people seem to be getting away!
Why? & what needs to change?
BACKGROUND: Former Trump National Security Adviser Michael Flynn was charged and pled guilty to lying to the FBI about contacts with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak. Specifically, he lied about conversations he had with Kislyak, regarding Sanctions and about Israeli settlements:
> Flynn requested that Russia not retaliate against the punitive measures just imposed by the U.S., the court papers say. Flynn then called the transition official to report on his discussion. The following day, Russia announced that it would not take retaliatory measures against the U.S.
> Flynn also engaged in a similar back-and-forth with the Russian ambassador over a U.N. Security Council vote on a resolution condemning Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem. The incoming Trump administration opposed the resolution, and Flynn asked the Russian envoy to either oppose... keep reading on reddit ➡
A big point of contention has long been that "two theories" complaint, that the state presented two incompatible theories at Avery and Brendan's trials. First, I would argue that they are not incompatible. While it is true that Brendan was not mentioned during Avery's trial as an accomplice and there are some points in Brendan's narrative that are not present in Avery's trial, he could be added with minimal change to the prosecution's narrative. More importantly, in both trials, Avery is clearly named as the killer.
It's also clear that Brendan could not be named as an accomplice at Avery's trial. Brendan had not been convicted at that point so it couldn't be presented as a matter of fact, Brendan's confession would be inadmissible due to the prejudicial effect it would have on Avery, and Brendan couldn't be called as a witness since he would undoubtedly plead the 5th to avoid incriminating himself for his upcoming trial. So if Brendan could not be named as an accomplice, then how cou... keep reading on reddit ➡
Throw away here as I am desperate for some advice but terrified of the consequences. I am in the UK.
I am well aware that what I am about to tell you could warrant legal action against me. The problem is this is destroying my life and I am at the point now where my life is overcome with fear to the point where I don't even feel like its worth living.
This may be confusing but I will try my best to explain the issues and I apologise in advance if It is a little messy. I'm on my third panic attack today just writing this.
In 2015 my parents passed away unexpectedly. I was only 20 at the time and had younger siblings to care for, a home to pay for as well as funeral debt I had acquired amongst other loans I took out just to keep us a float.
Now before my mother died, as a child she changed my "known as name' with my school and with things like Child benefit and income support etc.
And when I was 16 or 17 she had to apply for ESA for me due to anxiety and depression from the yea... keep reading on reddit ➡
I was reading about this case, I probably can't go into to many details but the bare bones of it are as follows ;
A guy was getting off a train at a busy London railway station. A lady he passed (in public, with lots of people around) accused him of digitally raping her (ie using fingers). The CPS decided there was enough evidence to try and prosecute. When it came to trial, the defence was able to prove that the prosecution had slowed down CCTV footage in order to make the accusations of sexual assault more credible (which didn't really help their cause as the footage clearly shows him walking past her without even noticing her).
The accused was found innocent. But he had a year of stress, worry and sleepless nights over a non event. Anyone who has commented on this case is astounded it went this far. So I was wondering can someone in this guys situation then launch legal proceedings against the CPS when things like this happen? Does the CPS ever apologise? The accusation... keep reading on reddit ➡
