Now for the weird part. I am an avid homebrewer, and an out-of-work college professor (Damn you COVID). My wife and I moved to the coast in the Pacific Northwest where she is in a leadership position at a hotel/bar/restaurant. Hello good people,

I own a Shopify store, and I want to implement Discount and Exit-intent popups.

I am trying to decide between Privy, Justuno, and Klaviyo popups.

What is important to me is to not decrease the speed of my store, and to not have glitches/bugs when popup implemented.

I have implemented Privy popups, but they do have a glitch: when a user adds to cart and popup happen at the same time - browser freezes. I have contacted them regarding this and they already know about this glitch, and they are about to solve it (who knows when...).

So, which one would you suggest to me besides Privy, and why?

Of course, reasonable suggestions besides these 3 are welcome.

Joe’s Coffee: An independent coffee shop towards the outskirts of town, and one of the few places open at this hour. As I gathered myself by the entrance, my fingers brushing against the stainless steel handle, I became acutely aware of my thirst. I took a moment to breathe before entering. The chalkboard open sign clattered against the glass door, and the aroma of hot beverages swirled around me. The interior of the venue was enigmatic. Its decor was a pleasant mixture of archaic and modern, with comfortable settees and little blue barstools sparsely populated by tired workers. Potted plants were scattered strategically about the place, some of which had been precariously placed upon table edges by careless customers. A bright-eyed barista, one that I had never seen before, greeted me as I approached the counter.

“Hey there, what can I get for you?” He smiled. I made a quiet vocalisation, with my index finger outstretched alongside my face, tapping slowly, creating the illusion that I was deciding what to order.

“I’d like to speak with Joe, please.” I spoke softly, staring at him as I did so, waiting to see the exact moment his expression changed from a welcoming grin to a sullen grimace.

“Right this way, ma’am,” he muttered, gesturing to a door with a plaque that declared it staff only. An antique cane was proudly displayed in the space between the door and ceiling.

“And a flat white for when I return. To go.”

Through the door, I made my way downstairs, and found myself in the basement. The walls were white, clinical, illuminated by fluorescent tubes that hummed and buzzed unwaveringly. A desk, operated by a large woman, guarded the doorway leading deeper into the basement. She gurgled as she spat her words at me, speaking almost incoherently.

“Appointment number?” Saliva dribbled down her chin. Her stomach had expanded to such a degree that I had believed it might burst, which was a very real possibility. Her ruddy complexion, skin flushed a muddied crimson, was a signifier of her propensity for gluttony - as if her bloating body and bulging black eyes weren’t enough of an indicator.

“Number two.” I stated, calmly.

“Two.” She repeated, as she brought a bulbous finger down upon a button on her desk. “Two is here.” She slowly lifted her finger from the intercom, and spoke directly to me, looking at me for the first time since I had entered. “Wait there.”

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm 27, but I have always struggled with acting "normal" during social interaction. I know that part of this is my ADHD, as I'm prone to forgetting what I'm talking about, going off on tangents, and accidentally interrupting people or not knowing when someone has finished talking.

But I find this is *much* worse when I'm in a situation where I don't have a "script." Like, I used to work in retail and it was easy to talk to people because the context was always the same and I had watched my coworkers enough to essentially imitate them. Easy enough! I really love talking to new people, and this made it easy to do so.

I'm also a huge geek, so I find myself accidentally making references to things that non-geeky people aren't familiar with. I try hard not to do this unless I'm with my friends, but sometimes I say things before I think.

Before I was diagnosed with ADHD, I wondered if I might be on the autism spectrum because I had so many of the social issues that come with ASD, but I don't think I have any of the emotional or physical behaviors, aside from what crosses over with the ADHD diagnostic criteria (like executive functioning issues).

Anyway. Sorry. This turned into a bit of a vent. I feel like such an alien when I'm talking to "normal" people, and I hate it! But, at least I'm great at making friends with my fellow geeks, haha.

I've been having some problems with general life anxiety and it's severely affecting my life. My current GP is a family member (I know I know, I'll change it). I also have some other family members as GPs or working for the NHS.

If I refer myself to a private therapist, are the records privy to the NHS? I'd assume no.

However, if I approach NHS treatments without my GP, or change my GP, how much access can other people who may access my record have?

Before people point it out, it's highly unlikely my family would ever snoop on my record and I fully trust them. However this is something I'd like to keep to myself if possible.

I'm fairly new to the UK. I haven't actually visited any NHS facilties apart from registration yet. I've avoided hospitals for as long as I can.

If this is the wrong sub, I'd love to be pointed to the correct place to post this.
