The Game Awards is an annual award ceremony and the video game equivalent to the Oscars though not as prestigious or coveted (yet). This year it's taking place as an online event on 10th Dec 2020.
Today, Brie Larson, Gal Gadot and a few others were announced as the presenters for the show as clockwork hot takes started pouring in at the mention of Brie Larson's name.
An user asks "what's with the hate and anti-hate in the replies?" which sparks a series of responses discussing if it's because she's an outspoken feminist and woman, or both.
In the US, that honor definitely goes to Carl Sagan who became famous thanks to his series, Cosmos: A Personal Voyage. Dude was beloved by all. Even people who never even thought about astronomy loved the series. He managed to explain so many scientific concepts to the general public without dumbing it down.
Of course trans people should get the respect they are due. But why is this relevant when we're supposed to be talking about how to help kids who experience trauma such as food insecurity, family members getting ill from the virus, abuse in the home, mental health issues, parent incarceration, etc.
But nope! Using a wrong pronoun is the trauma we need to be facing head on. It must be so traumatic to have someone greet the class with "boys and girls" in the beginning of a lesson.
...and they know about it and have authorized it. It is acknowledged by the artist that it is on the album as a song representing the JW faith. They're either incredibly stupid - but legally they tend to be on the ball especially with copyright etc - or they are going to spin this in a big way. Thoughts?
They said time and time again that BLoC is not the best option available right now. I want to ask them why?
I have been using bloc since I started learning flutter this year and I haven't faced any issue with it. Even with app with more than 20 screens (more than 100 if different states are considered different screens). They serve state management to the point and app's all business logics are out of flutter (widgets).
I was excited to see so many community experts but at the end I was kind of disappointed.
Some other questions I asked which were never answered
Why there is no mixin for adding accessibility to any widget. Instead of using semantics.
Why dart does not support method overloading.
I also want to ask if Inherited widget is so bad that riverpod had to be written why flutter devs does not change inherited widget implementation? Why keep on creating different libraries not have them fix issues in the flutter sdk itself?
I might be wrong at so many points here and I would love to have someone correct me.
why do many hate Broadcasting presenters? can you send a reddit link talking only about them? I was curious
