I've seen a few big Destiny content creators getting mad and making fun of all the afkers, Gladd even went so far as to call us scumbags. There is a real reason we are doing this.
The power grind hasn't changed for TWO YEARS. Some people have the luxury of being able to play this game as their job, and others have so much free time that they can actually level up all 3 characters to the cap within like a week of a content drop. Then there's the rest of us.
I want to play Destiny. When I see new content, like a brand new dungeon, I get excited. But I am burned out with doing the exact same things I've been doing since forsaken just to get my power level up. I want to play the new stuff and spend my limited time playing the game I love doing the NEW STUFF.
In my opinion, the power grind should be completely taken out of the seasons. There is no reason for it other than to pad the game out. A big power spike e... keep reading on reddit ➡
To all those people saying "don't come back arguing there's no content after you afk farmed". If your concept of content is repeating old content to increase your power, we need to talk.
There should be different activities for everyone in the game, doesn't matter your power level, there should be a brand new thing to do, and this activitie should be a good way to grind your way up to reach new activities.
If people want to play the end game as soon as possible, even if it means using a exploit in the game, shouldn't be a problem. They will enjoy the very same content you will, sooner or later you too will be arguing "there is no content" because it isnt a matter of power level, there is a content problem in D2 for a while, for those who grind fast and for those who take the whole season to reach max cap.
Let people enjoy the game the way they feel like.
Original Title was: 'I think the Karen meme being popular is really scary' but mods dont like that
For context: There was a post on PublicFreakout today with about 50k upvotes. I won't link it but it's pretty easy to find. It was a man stenciling a political message onto his retaining wall, and a couple interrupting him. You can go watch the video. Reading all the disparaging remarks got me thinking.
Here's my problem: That video really wasn't that bad. The lady behaved quite politely. If the person recording the video had simply said "Yes I own this house" it would have been fine. And from what any of us can see, this wasn't a ra ce issue. He wasn't black. She clearly stated it wasn't because of the stencil. But the child army that is reddit descends upon these kinds of videos and loves to make jokes at the expense of the woman.
These sorts of videos and the comments to those videos can really, genuinely, ruin someones life. At the very least, it will affect their mental healt... keep reading on reddit ➡
They were not impressed. They're actually quite mad at me lmao. I guess you could say....
That's a lotta damage
I’ll go through 800$ of graphics cards in 5 years and I’ll still have my seasonic power supply that keeps chugging power. Like a 5 year warranty is pretty cool and they go on for later. And their only like 100$. Power supplies are like that friend that you don’t talk a lot to but is always there to chat or hang out.
Many of us were (unfortunately) watching that fateful Monday night football game in week 7 where Sam Darold revealed to the world that he was “seeing ghosts” on his way to 5 turnovers. As a Jets fan, I have been subjected to “seeing ghost” jokes ever since. But after constant memes at my quarterback’s expense, I began to wonder: What if Darnold really DOES see ghosts?
Before I go any further, I’d just like to say I drew inspiration for this post from u/AngryCentrist and his post in r/nba, so the formatting is similar. Now let’s do some stats!
Hypothesis: Sam Darnold has supernatural abilities allowing him to see ghosts, and when there are more ghosts he performs worse.
Test: Analyze Darnold’s performance in each state and correlate those numbers with the amount of deaths in that state in the previous year.
Edit: GUYS! If the situation calls for an explanation and/or cooperation then of course you should fix it with dialogue.
Also if you are being threatened by an increasingly maddening individual then you should remove yourself from the situation.
Nothing applies to everything.
Edit 2: Yes, I'm advocating you do this every single time. Always. Every time till the end of times. You should never use discretion and only use this incredibly specific advice applicable to certain general situations. I have yet to hear from anyone disproving or disavowing it. Do this and only this. Forget everything else. This is the only way.
Bungie The way you had it in D1 was great it let us enjoy our max power for a good amount of time however now is a bit ridiculous I can never enjoy alot of my weapons because I'm forced to constantly try to infuse them to higher levels. I can never enjoy a high power level because then in 3 months it basically means nothing you should maybe increase it every 5 months or something IDK but we grind hard for high light level then you take it away then we grind again you take it away with a new season its a damn hamster wheel grind at this point I don't feel like I'm making any impact

Hi all, I put together this infographic showing the stadium capacity and record crowd for each team in Power 5, plus ND / BYU.
Interesting to see how some stadiums have had massive swells (USC) above capacity. To my knowledge, Louisville is the only stadium (edit: and Utah) where the record crowd has been UNDER capacity.
-edit #1- If you're curious about your team's record capacity game, check the Wikipedia link below. It details which game had the largest crowd. As near I can tell, most all of these were actual collegiate football games and not something like a rock concert held AT that stadium (seating on the field, etc).
Source data was scraped from Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_NCAA_Division_I_FBS_football_stadiums
-edit #2- *C'mon people, the colors were picked randomly an... keep reading on reddit ➡
I understand that the new person may be just as qualified if not more so, But I find it to be a hollow gesture that does nothing more but pat your company on the back for being “progressive”.
Why are we grinding over 1000 power level now? Why is the base 750? I know why it’s 750 but given how everything is being reworked that isn’t a good reason anymore. With the new fall expansion we have the ultimate lore (new threat) and mechanical (first round of sunsetting) rationale behind resetting power level. At the end of the day it is just a measure of 0 to 100 anyways, with being too low in some content making things immune until you gradually are on whatever field is deemed appropriate by Bungie’s balance team. If Destiny 2 is going to be a three plus year experience going forward will we be 2050 power level at the beginning of Witch Queen?
Why not do a refresh (or squish) every fall expansion to prevent the large unwieldy numbers and odd choice of a base line?
