It's easy to feel like the world revolves around GME when you spend as much time as we all do reading this sub, but keep in mind, we are a very small percentage of people. Everyone will be mindblown when Gamestop crashes the global market.
Wallstreetbets is compromised, they haven't even mentioned the Gamestop tweets over there. Mainstream media hasn't either. Nobody is even talking about or entertaining the idea of the MOASS except us. This is because it's real. If the shorts did cover the media would have came through and debunked us. Instead we have experts of financial markets doing AMAs. This is real. I know it's hard to beleive but it is. Make sure you diamond hand.
Have a plan when this happens, maybe consider not telling anyone you were one of the 0.003% who made it big on Gamestop. Put your new found liquid in solid assets you believe in ($GME) or use it as capital to start a business.
I love you all. It's likely when the MOASS happens this sub will flood just like WSB did. We will need a place to go so we can all keep in touch and share what we do with our tendies. Any proposals from the mods?
Never do this again and bring back Faction Wars.
For instance in Sweden what side to put butter on your knäckebröd
Or to pronunce Kex with a soft or hard K (obviously a soft K)
I have worked (and continue) to work very hard to be a successful student and engineer. I have supported my school by attending it for my BS, MS, and am finishing up my PhD.
And just now, it was brought to my attention that my school's strategic plan which is posted on the website says, verbatim, "... the male student population has been decreasing proportionally to the female student population for the last decade. As a university with traditionally male-dominated student population, this trend presents a threat to our immediate and long-term future."
I am angry. I feel indignant. I am sharing this because I guess I am a threat to tradition.
Edit: looks like the school changed it to remove the specifically problematic wording. This is a good thing! I am frustrated at phrasing as it was. It should have never been that way. I do see a victory for it being recognized as a significant problem and promptly changed (when addressed).
Edit 2: new link Updated Strategic Plan, April 2021, old link removed
For example, yesterday on the universe subreddit, some guy posted this super bizarre and delusional theory about the calendar cutting off days that were discussed in the Bible because the universe is supposed to do a rebirth on 12/26/21. Not fully accurate, but it was along those lines. It’s been deleted now. It was just so disorganized and bizarre that it was pretty hard to decipher, it really illustrated the thinking associated with delusions or psychosis. Is there a subreddit where people with bizarre and delusional beliefs seem to gather the most?
I’m not talking about something like paranormal, UFOs, conspiracy theories, etc. Not a place where people know their beliefs are a little odd and they gather to theorize various things for fun. I’m looking for a place where people who are just blatantly delusional or mentally unwell, to the point where they don’t know that they’re unwell. Surely there have to be some hidden subreddits here.
I just want to observe. 🌴🌴🌴👀🌴🌴🌴
EDIT: The universe guy I mentioned came back! This time he hand wrote a less detailed version of what he was talking about last time, minus random tangents about the Bible.
