Every single day we are getting away from being human, what we've learned in thousands of years..... we are getting more and more just materialistic beings........ i don't see a bright future here ....... well, not too optimistic
Iβm a Los Angeles native (and current resident - sorry) whoβs traveled a fair bit - visited about half of the U.S. states, a decent amount of countries. Spent a lot of time in Europe in particular because I have friends and family there. Iβve been to most of the major cities in the U.S. and quite a few in other parts of the world. And for all my traveling, thereβs only one place I truly DO NOT get the hype behind: New York City.
Iβve been there fairly often over the course of the last few years because my mom does business there and I usually join her to help her out. Here are my gripes about this vastly overrated city:
-Postage-stamp sized accommodations for basically everyone except the filthy rich. My mom and I stay in nice-enough hotels when we visit. I've also visited my friends in their apartments there. Theyβre all claustrophobically tiny AF and actually pretty damn expensive. Usually you just get one of those!
-The most weirdly critical Uber drivers Iβve ever encountered. Iβm extremely polite to my drivers and tip them well always. My Uber score (something like a 4.8 last time I checked) always noticeably drops when Iβm in NYC and gets boosted or stays the same in every other city. WTF? Iβve since resorted to just taking taxis when Iβm there now since I don't want to risk potentially getting banned from the app.
-The lack of alleys. This makes for some truly nauseating examples of trash storage. Itβs gross.
-Those terrible horse and carriage rides. They make me really, really sad to see, especially when I read stories of these horses being so overworked they collapse. Why arenβt they banned already?!
-No real natural beauty. Central Park is pretty, sure, but itβs manmade and ultimately contrived. Los Angeles, Honolulu, Seattle, Tokyo, and other major cities prove you can still get a city experience but not at the expense of some truly gorgeous nature scenes.
-The level of overcrowding. Most everything is packed like sardines: the subway, grocery stores, restaurantsβ¦not a good time if youβre an agoraphobe in any capacity.
-The overall existence of Times Square. Enough said.
The cultural elements that NYC is highly renowned for (food, museums, architecture, etc.) can be found in other major cities at similar, if not better, quality. NYC does indeed have some good quality venues for these thingsβ¦but not so good that Iβd consider living there or visiting just because.
And that's my rant. I look forward to being virtually cr

Here is a list of posts that talk about a potential silver squeeze of SLV and JPM long, long, long before GME blasted off towards the moon. This is /r/wallstreetbets, not /r/GME. We trade multiple tickers, you dumbshit fucking "entry at $450" bag holding tards.
Great, you joined in the last 2 weeks because your autistic nephew made more money in 2 months than you've ever done.
Instead of just shutting up and watching the plethora of good DD posts rise and fall, you think this entire subreddit is only about holding one frickin' short squeeze as if that's the first time in history anyone got squoze, and downvote otherwise great research because you're frickin' terrified of losing money you couldn't afford to lose in the first place.
The entire global media didn't all pool together in 48 hours to present a uniform story of "buy silver" as part of some frickin' conspiracy designed to save a few medium-sized American hedge funds. No more than COVID was made by the Chinese to win Biden the presidency, anyway.
So here, since you guys are too damn handicapped to use a fucking search engine, are a list of DD/YOLO/Discussion posts about SLV and Silver written LONG BEFORE THE FUCKING GME SHORT SQUEEZE FINALLY ROCKETED!!! Jesus fuck, you tinfoil wearing sack of "fake news" American mouth-breathers with the collective IQ of a doorknob.
Just look at the fucking DD and pretend GME doesn't exist for 5 minutes. Silver. Is. A. Deep. Fucking. Value. Play! It has value. So much fucking deep value!
Yeah, no shit a market maker is holding silver positions when silver becomes more sought after, their job is to make fucking markets liquid. HOW ARE YOU GOING TO SUPPLY LIQUIDITY IF YOU DON'T HAVE SHIT TO SUPPLY?! DID YOU NOTICE HOW THEY HAVE A LOT OF PUTS AND A LOT OF CALLS, AND NOT JUST CALLS?!
DO YOU THINK NO BILLIONAIRES HELPED RIDE GME UP? Do you think it was 100% retail on one side and 100% Melvin and Citron on the other? Ah, you do. Of course, you do.
GREAT, WE GOT 8 MILLION DEGENERATES HERE. The 6M that didn't manage to find this place without hearing about GME having rocketed already, MAYBE DON'T FUCKING POST, COMMENT AND BRING YOUR DA

Recently I had uploaded a post regarding the investment opportunity for silver, where I go into the base investment case for this precious/industrial hybrid metal. It can be found here.
In short, there is a massive and growing amount of demand for silver. This is partly due to the fears of inflation and devaluation of the dollar and other fiat currencies around the world, but mostly (60% of it to be exact) comes from industrial usage. People mention, and rightly so, the growing emphasis on solar, electrical vehicles and the computerization of nearly everything. What do all these things have in common? They need silver and substantially more of it the more demand for these products grows.
With demand growing and no way to easily scale up supply (see previous post on why), we are looking at quite and attractive industrial supply/demand story backed up by the fact that it is a precious metal and often moves in tandem with gold.
Now, onto the title, the short interest. We have seen an incredible amount of media attention for what happened to GS and the hedge funds that tried to short the stock, but a somewhat similar case can be made for the silver sector. This article puts it best.
"The 8 big shorts have been βluckyβ so far, that their predicament isnβt widely recognized. Iβm sure that a small number of sophisticated investors are aware of the plight of the 8 big shorts. But the simple truth is that there has been no mention of the concentrated short position in COMEX gold and silver futures by any mainstream media source. Even on the Internet, the concentrated short position is hardly mentioned. There seems to be a growing groundswell of opinion that silver is the cheapest asset around (it is) and Iβm even starting to hear some ask why silver is so cheap to begin with? Let me make it easy for you β the only reason silver is so cheap is because of the concentrated short position of the 4 biggest traders, who hold more than 312 million ounces short, as of the latest COT report. When combined with the next 4 largest traders, the concentrated short position grows to nearly 404 million ounces. The connection couldnβt be more direct. Silver is the cheapest because its short position is the largest."
In the debate about of which ETF is the best for our purposes (PSLV or SLV) I think that obviously t

So Iβve been living at my apartment for 3 semester now. Iβve been playing guitar since about two months before my first semester and had always used a little Vox AC4 to practice cranked low for slow blues as I learned how to play. With my stimulus check back in April, I bought a 90s Fender Blues Deluxe and some pedals and the instrument became a line of heroin in 2004 To Beth Hart for me.
Over the past few months Iβve gotten confident enough to play louder in case anyone can hear and this turned into two confrontations with my neighbors. Hereβs where shit goes south right? Nope. The old man that lives next door, metme at my car one morning and said βdonβt ever worry about playing from 6am-11pm. I love to sit and drink my coffee on the deck and see what youβre working on and how youβve progressed, itβs become rather enjoyable to my ears. You know I used to play in a band until a car wreck at a bad stage in my life and I sold everything to pay for medical costs and unfortunately never picked one back up except some times Iβd go to my friends places but my left hand just doesnβt have the motion anymore.β Then he said βas long as you keep playing the blues, soul, gospel, and Mark Knopfler I donβt care how loud it is if you donβt fuck it up.β ....
I immediately got back to practicing Buddy Guy lIcks over backing tracks with my Soul Food and TS808 pushed a little more for a few days until my other neighbor met me. Heβs my age about M21 and he asked me to help him move his stuff for him saying he had cash and cannabis so I agreedπ€£(he gave me a speaker cable chord his dad made I needed instead>>>) . After moving half his stuff in I started noticing guitar cases and effects racks. Like this kid has everything π(apparently his dad is a kinda audio gear technician in Nashville and his grandpa is a luthier so they collected and built a lot of gear over the years). Turns out heβs into Albert King and Buddy Guy too so I have TWO approving neighbors!!!!
The best part of it all is my Epi LP in need of a re fret BAD but it has Gibson buckers so I raised the action and humbuckers and turned it into a slide guitar. Thatβs when I I got an idea. Me and my younger neighbor set my older neighbor (with the hand injury) up with my Epi LP, Vox AC4, a compressor, Fulltone OCD, tuner, and a slide we had laying around and we now all jam together.
I owe all my success so far to that situation and YouTube teachers like Paul Davidβs, Marty Schwartz, Zartimus, and Guitar
