So this just happened a few hours ago and I just need to vent. Edit: read this sentence again. This r/TrueOffMyChest*, I am venting. Yes this is "emotional" that is the essence of venting. Don't expect it to sound super rational well thought.*
A bit of background first. In July my husband and I adopted a rescue puppy: Atlas. Atlas was separated from his mom at a very young age (barely over 5weeks) when the owner dropped him and his siblings off at a local no-kill shelter. Since the first day we got him, he has displayed some behavioral problems. The main one being his behavior on walks. If he gets overstimulated he will start acting crazy: barking, growling, running full speed in circles and can become agressive toward the person holding the leash.
We have worked hard since then on training him. We had done A LOT of research before hand to be well prepared even though we had both grew up with lots of dogs. We asked for professional help when seeing the behavior problems. A lot of positive reinforcement and many many hours later he is well behave inside, and does not bite/nip us anymore. It happens less often now but he still can get overstimulated on walks. His main triggers being loud young children and other excited dogs.
Cue to tonight. We are enjoying a long walk in the park. It's night time, the park is empty, so he has his long leash (edit: 26 feet retractable leash to be precise) on to have more freedom to smell around. About halfway through I spot a couple (edit: I am bad at estimating distance but they were at least 100 feet away. I could have had 4 times more leash they would have still been completely out of his range) with their two children and two off leash dogs (in a park requiring dogs to be leashed). Atlas spotted them too and started to get excited: pulling toward them, barking etc.. As I was working with him to make him calm down one of little kid came running toward us, saying/screaming something in that high-pitch annoying voice children have, arms extended, wanting to pet him. Guess what? Puppy went absolutely berserk.
Yes he has never bitten anyone else other than my and my husband but I am not about to take any risk so no I don't let people pet him, especially children, when he is excited. We turn around, me holding Atlas close so the kid can't touch him. Once we are out of range I give him some leash range again and he uses this time to do his running in circle etc to let go of his frustration/stress... Well the

I would respect other people who have a belief but itβs just not easy and i gave up. Thoughts?
I decided to check the bill that my mother and I are in and we both have the protection 360 which is 16$ a month. This, though appears small, adds up to a lot considering how long I've had this phone with me(S9).
My mother also has a phone but, after like a year and this will make it 2yrs now, I've never broken it, no cracked screen or anything(I buy protective gear for the phone and for my mom). Just wanna know if anyone here, with experience can vouch if perhaps 360 is worth it? if not, please let me know so I can untick the box and no longer have to pay 16$ a month.
I really appreciate your help!
Edit: Thanks everyone for your response! I really apprieciate it!
I feel like so many people make homophobic, xenophobic, sexist, racist, etc. remarks and play it off as a joke. Where do we morally draw the line? Are there scenarios where the ones calling others out for the joke being distasteful are being too sensitive or βsnowflakesβ? Whatβs your take on this? Is dark humor necessary within these communities (ie: LGBTQ+, POC, etc) to take back the stigma that was originally created?
The Problem
The reaction to the economic relief compromise on Twitter and Reddit has been swift and extremely negative. On Reddit, one of the top upvoted posts yesterday is of a tweet claiming "Only $600? In New Zealand we got $600 every week for months until we were all back at work" (mind you, New Zealanders were not generally paid $600/week, so that post is completely false). Another viral tweet claims "Members of Congress got paid $190,000 to spend 9 months arguing about whether we deserve $600." Congresswoman-elect Cori Bush has tweeted "$600 is not enough."
More personally, I've been downvoted to oblivion on Reddit when I pointed out the "It's only $600!" claim is bs, and was called a "fucking liar" and told "American exceptionalism has rotted your brain."
Consequently, I'm led to believe that lots of people think the aid package only includes $600 checks or believe that all of the other provisions in the package are immaterial.
Why It's Wrong
First off, the "It's only $600" is facially factually incorrect. The $600 direct payments are there, of course, but it's a small (and in my view, not particularly effective) part of the overall scheme. The deal also includes over $100 billion in additional unemployment assistance (adding $300/week), $25 billion in renters assistance, $82 billion for education, boatloads of cash for testing/public health initiatives, and aid targeted to devastated industries (e.g., airlines and movie theaters). The bill also includes additional funding for PPP -- I'm skeptical of the cost-effectiveness of this program and how it's been rolled out, but it's undeniable it's saved at least some jobs.
This is far from nothing. Take unemployment assistance. As one helpful twitter user points out, about $520 billion has been spent on unemployment benefits since March, and 40 million workers have claimed unemployment in that time. That's an average of an additional $13,000 per claimant. Even though I wish it were greater, this is the most generous unemployment regime in US history. (By way of comparison, remember the Obama st

On a whim the form was labelled "Jacob Smith" so if questioned they would have a name to fall back on. They had been released roughly a day ago, and had quickly learned that keeping to their base form would draw unwanted attention from civilians, so they decided to retain this basic form for now. They could feel a mind beginning to form for the form, but it was simple. Mask also noted they could influence the mind, overwriting it or controlling it, but the mind would be useful for retaining in character, so they let it be, controlling the autonomous activities such as breathing, walking, and keeping their heart beating while Mask assumed more proper control over anything that went on.
As they walked through the streets Mask peered through the catalogue of forms they had available. Dreadfully small, with some form of fish, some shelled crustacean called a lobster, and the pigeon and human forms being all, along with a sample of bovine muscle tissue. The food at the PRT was good for biomass but did not do anything to add to Mask's list, so they needed more to make full use of their abilities. Mask wandered into an alley, looking to see any samples they might acquire. Quite a few insects, some of which Mask quickly snatched and scarfed down, as their information flooded its mind. It recognized them, a couple species of ant, along with quite a nice prize, a common American Cockroach. Very suitable forms that would come in handy later for certain.
Mask peered further down the alley, noting the very same feline they had observed with the bird on their first day. How interesting. They would try tactics. Mask made a soothing noise, beckoning the domesticated feline over. The creature obeyed, hesitantly making its way within reach to let Mask pet it. Mask rubbed the creature's fur for a moment, noting the softness of it before clamping its grasp over its neck with both hands and twisting, rendering the feline lifeless quickly. Unhinging their jaw, Mask quickly began to down the creature. Interestingly there was some form of small rodent in its stomach, a young rat if Mask weren't mistaken. They quickly assimilated the mass of both creatures, before looking around to ascertain if nobody had seen them.

To me, cheese is completely repulsive. The smell, texture, and taste all make me sick to my stomach. The only reasonable exception is pizza. Iβve always been told that I havenβt had good cheese or eaten the right macaroni, etc. However, it will never matter to me, cheese is just nasty and thatβs the simple truth.
Does anyone have the same experiences? Itβs very hard for me to eat much and often as I suffer from big lack of appetite and motivation, anhedonia and lethargy. Some of the symptoms of my depression. Additionally sometimes I just donβt eat because I feel distinctly better when my stomach is empty. My mood is slightly better, my anxiety decreases a bit, my motivation increases and I can think more clearly. As soon as I eat my symptoms get worse from one second to the other. This is very distinct!
I know thereβs a connection between gut and mental health. My blood values are all perfect. Any suggestions or assumptions? Should I go to a specialized doc for gut problems (gastro)? Any idea what exactly this can be? What can I do against it? Just another diet? But diet is unbelievably hard to maintain for a person who already finds it unbelievably hard to eat, like and swallow food at all.
After completing give me a story, I was tempted to try the hardest difficulty. However, I find it close to impossible to play. My axe does MINIMUM damage on enemies and Kratos die from pretty much anything. I was expecting the enemy to die from maybe 5 or 6 hits and Kratos die from fewer hits...but this is ridiculous! 2 hits and I'm dead. I had to fight every enemy like a valkyrie. You use up your entire rage bar with only enough damage for one enemy.
What is the reason for this?
Yesterday I finished RDR2 on my PC, and wanting to play RDR1, realizing it is only available on the PS3 and Xbox, I dig out my old PS3 and scour the PS Store for a digital copy, but it was just nowhere to be found. Then today, as I was looking for a Metal Gear Solid collection, it showed right up, as I had already purchased a physical copy online...
Also, I can only find the "Metal Gear Solid HD Collection" on the PS Store, am I not missing out on a lot of story if I start with either of these, that are in the collection?;
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
Any helpful clarifications or suggestions are appreciated, thank you.
While I am supporting current protests happening in Poland, and appaled by actions of the government, I can't help but be fascinated by some slogans you see on their posters. They authentically give me a chuckle when i see them.
This fascination is probably increased when comparing photos of protests from the 70s, 80s, and the 90s to todays protest and how influenced they have become by the meme culture. Just trying to find a little positivity in all of this.
My current favorite 'Ziobro nie myje dupy' (Ziobro doesn't wash his ass) - nonsensical, simple, to the point, and seeping with cynicism and disregard.
What were some slogans that caught your attentuon? I know some of these may be interesting in your language only, so feel free to add context.
