The announcement tweet from Jo Maugham is below. Another thing to note from this outrageous contract is that it was never put out to tender for any other company to bid on. The government also had many offers from many other companies offering vast numbers of PPE (in some cases for very little money). The government refused them all
>Was this £108 million contract ever advertised? If so, where? No one we have spoken to is aware of any advertisement.
>If it was not advertised, how was Crisp Websites Limited chosen? Who was the decision maker? How did the name of this tiny company come to be placed before the decision maker?
>**Why was Crisp Websites Limited chosen? You can only award a contract without advertising where “there is only one supplier… with capacity to complete on the s
All families have their mysteries, and the Duggars are no exception. Is Jill really cut off? Will any of the kids ever break away from the cult? Who names an innocent baby Spurgeon?
But something we've all speculated on is Pest and Anna's relationship; specifically, how it began. Was it an arranged marriage? Did they ever have a courtship, or was it all arranged, and did they even really know each other before Pest's "why are you doing this at an alcohol free" wedding serenade?
To solve the mystery, I decided to turn to the most unimpeachable sources - the Duggars themselves, because if you can't trust the Duggars, who can you trust? I've taken a deep, murky and unpleasant dive into A Love That Multiplies and Growing Up Duggar to get the truth about Pest and Anna's origin story...straight from the horse's arse. Are you with me? We're going in.
In Multiplies, we get an overview of the Duggars' philosophy on dating, courtship and marriage. I won't bore you all with what we're al... keep reading on reddit ➡

14 Children and Pregnant Again is an infuriating show on so many levels. You've got TLC's whitewashing of the Duggars' toxic, hateful beliefs on women, children, marriage, LGBTQ+ people, and many more things. You have them glossing over child abuse and glorifying child neglect and violations of child labor laws. But for me, the worst part by far was seeing how young all of the Duggar girls looked and realizing that by that point, Josh had already >!sexually assaulted!< them them and was still going.
Look at the above image. Look how young Jana looks and consider that she's supposed to be the only one who escaped Josh's assaults. I know that we focus most on what happened to Joy because it's the most obviously despicable act, but even Jill is a child.
[Meanwhile, here's Jos... keep reading on reddit ➡
As I was looking into natural predators for certain pests, I noticed that spiders were never mentioned. Furthermore, for all the webs I've encountered when working in the fields, not once have I seen insects that weren't just common small flies caught on them. As for the species that hunt, I've never seen a difference between plants where they were nesting or those devoid of their presence, in terms of pest invasion.
I would seem logical that, as predators, Spiders help fight against pests. But is it really the case? Or is their role simply overlooked ?
I would think evolution would tell these animals to stay the away from us seeing as most humans will kill/trap any pest animal that they can. Any explanation?
Here in America, in the Midwest, south and northeast one doesn’t dare walk through most thick brushy forests, or at least without protective clothing and excessive bug spray, as chiggers and ticks are abundant. Is it the same in European forests?
I was just watching pest’s engagement episode because I had never seen it but I knew it was cringy. But damn I didn’t expect it to be that uncomfortable to watch.
But something really stood out to me. When pest arrives and wish Happy Birthday to Anna, the Keller’s for away and they are left there on their own to “talk”. The thing is, before pest get down on his knees and pop the question, they are not even talking. They say a few words but they seem really uncomfortable just like they don’t really know each other. And even if after pest asked her to marry her, they don’t really say anything except “I love you”. Anna just says “it’s really beautiful” when talking about the ring but apart from that there is no conversation, just blank fillers...
So I wondered... Did they even really knew each other before getting engaged? It feels like they just wanted to “hand sex” and that’s all. Or maybe that her parents sold her off to the Duggars.

For the longest time, I pretended to find rodents gross to fit in, but no more! I don’t care what 9 out of 10 people say. Mice are cute! And raccoons are just cats with functioning hands.
I understand that they may carry diseases and will likely claw your eyes out if provoked. But objectively speaking, pest mammals are very pleasant looking animals. I think most people don’t want to admit that because of the overwhelming grossed out ness by the potential dangers.
I’ve met some people who were repulsed by hamsters and guinea pigs too.
My family has 40 acre farm for fruits and we sell to local markets and restaurants. I’m wondering what people do for pests. We have been taking down old fruit trees that no longer yield as much to plant younger ones. They’ve been vulnerable to gophers and squirrels so I have been shooting them. The nearby farmer is a vegan but he asks me to take care of them and pays me some money. He just doesn’t want to know how I do it lol... I’ve been against poisoning since other animals that eat the squirrels will get killed.
I’ve been trying to think of different ways to get rid of them cheaply but I’m not really sure myself. We have been trying natural repellents but they don’t last very long and they quickly come back.
This isn’t an issue with our garden at home since it’s on a much smaller scale so we can spend more money on repelling then. I’m currently planting a small sacrificial garden to see if that works. Just wondering what vegan farmers do.
This happened to my younger sister and I not too long ago and I hope this doesn't ruin the case we have going.
There's a park about a 2 minute drive from my house and about a 7 minute walk. We were hanging out at the park having a good time. We noticed a man sitting on the bench just staring at us. It was around 6pm and the park was decently full. I'm disabled so I just assumed he was giving me a look for that. It's a pretty normal occurance, and I've even had people tell me I'm too young to be using a cane or to stop faking it. After a while, we left the park and went home.
About an hour and a half goes by and we noticed her phone was missing. We couldn't find it anywhere and decided to go back to the park to look. At this point, it was dark and kind of foggy but I've walked through this park a million times at night to go graffiti down in a storm drain a little bit away from the playground. It was 8:30pm and we got out of the car to look where we sat the entire time. It wasn't the... keep reading on reddit ➡
Is pest control something home owners or restaurant owners deal with like we do here in the US?
Door to door salesman during a pandemic??? Wonderful.
The main pest I had in anywhere near my house was you the minute you stepped on my porch.

"I hate these damned bugs! Die, die, DIE!" Andrasta screamed as she unleashed her fury on the cluster of Valkon craft she had happened upon. They had no right to be in human space again, not after what they had done during the war, and especially not after what she had just found. At least this batch wasn't going to get away with it.
She had been patrolling near the edge of human space where the Valkons had last been spotted when she detected unknown contacts on her sensors. What she found when she decided to investigate had sickened her. If she'd had a stomach, she would have emptied it, and she was never happier not to have a human crew than now.
Energy beams carved through armor while missiles sought weak points to exploit. Both weapons were effective in their work, devastating the cluster and leaving behind only a growing debris field. The enemy ships didn't fight back initially, which aggra... keep reading on reddit ➡
Came back to my apartment after not living here for 2 months to find German roaches in the kitchen. My roommate, who stayed in the apartment during this time but left for home right as I came back, has a bad track record with cleanliness especially when it comes to leaving dirty dishes in the sink for days, dropping food on the floor/table without cleaning it up, etc etc.
I’ve already thrown out all the flour and sugar in the cupboards as I suspect those were what they were mainly feeding on since I don’t see droppings elsewhere in the kitchen. I have sealed all cracks with caulk or steel wool and placed bait traps/borax down as well. I’m also waiting for the advion gel to arrive as I’ve heard it does wonders.
That being said, does anyone recommend those ultrasonic pest repellers that you plug into an outlet?
My apartment complex is trying to force each of the residents to let the pest control guy in this Wednesday to spray for bugs. I’m very high risk, so the thought of anyone coming in freaks me out, let alone a guy who has just walked in and out of 100 other apartments before he got to mine. I’m planning on hanging a note on my door telling him not to come in.
What are my options? Do I have to let him in since I don’t own the place and I’m just a tenant? If rather kill some bugs than have my life put at risk!
Update: After calling the pest control company and discovering that they do not require technicians to wear masks inside of homes, I reached out to both my state and county health departments. They went over some options with me and said that given the circumstances I do have the right to request that this service be postponed in my state since it’s not an emergency service. I contacted my apartment office armed with all the info I could get. Thankfully, they agreed to push the d... keep reading on reddit ➡
Hi! I love this sub, and I would like your advice/opinion on pest control in an urban garden.
I live in the middle of an urban jungle, hardly any green around (although the city does plan on improving this). I have a stamp-sized yard -really tiny-, and over the years I have completely filled it with one tree, shrubs, ivy, and lots of pollinator friendly flowers. I garden horizontally and vertically, so the walls of my apartment/fence are covered in hanging pots and baskets as well.
To my delight, I attract a lot of hover flies, bumblebees, bees, butterflies, spiders, all sorts of insects, and since a few years there seems to be more bird activity around as well. I hope to provide a safe haven for pollinators and a place to rest/feed in between all the concrete, plus a 'feeding ground' for the few birds that live here. So far that seems to work.
Every year I plant nasturtiums because I love the flowers, they attract TONS of bees and bumblebees. They are not native but very durable... keep reading on reddit ➡

They got married young enough.
Josh is a horrible sex pest.
How has Anna escaped with so few kids?
I was thinking PCP would be better for consistency of shots and the ability to keep it loaded in a ready to fire state in case I come across rats in the garden.
I also was under the impression that PCP had more power than gas piston.
I would prefer semi auto to quick follow up shots if I miss.
I need a rail on the top for optics. Prefer that it's picatinny, but I suppose I could use a conversion plate if needed.
I would prefer picatinny under the barrel for attaching a bipod, and picatinny somewhere on the front half of the gun for a light, laser, or something, but I can probably make do without that if need be.
I'm aiming to spend $300 or less if I can, but might be willing to up that to 500 if the features warrant it.
I would prefer it to be silenced, but can probably get away without it.
I am unsure of what caliber to go for. From what I know about firearm ballistics, I believe the larger caliber would be more deadly despite going slower, due to more momentum to penet... keep reading on reddit ➡
