Hi all, a few days ago, I received a text asking if I’d like to advertise for Dr. Pepper by putting a sticker on my car for up to $800 a week. Of course it sounded too good to be true but I clicked the link and filled out a form to be considered. A few days later I received a check in my name for $3,850 from “Fluid Motion LLC.” I looked it up and it’s a small boat company. I then got texts insisting that I deposit the check and they avoided all of my questions. So Reddit, what’s going on here?? Has anyone heard of a scam like this? I didn’t sign anything, I simply filled out a basic form to be considered for the advertising opportunity and next thing I know there’s a check in a special fedex package days later.
Following the events of the Capitol Siege, a video of "Elizabeth from Knoxville" has been circulating. In the said video, she was seen rubbing a piece of onion on her eyes. People would defend her and claim that it was ice, and still some would claim that it was folk remedy to tear gas.
With that aside, please enlighten me. Does that really work? If it doesn't, what does?
Edit: I tried to Google this, found no conclusive scientific resource. It was just that I seem to have lost all my brain cells from watching that video that even I can't trust my own judgement anymore.
