What do you guys think about the prospect of deploying micro-reactors?
Do we currently use MW gensets for prime and peak power (not backup)?
From a purely logistical standpoint, it looks like the biggest challenge is moving a 40-ton commodity that can’t drive itself.
>Pros: A 40-ton micro-reactor (1-10 MW scale) could displace many KW scale diesel generators, and save fuel for vehicles.
>Cons: A reactor is a very attractive target. Existing self contained diesel and natural gas gensets with comparable output weigh about 20 tons.
