Patch 1.1 for Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PC, consoles and Stadia!

In this update we focused on various stability improvements, which you can find outlined in the patch notes below. We will continue this work in patch 1.2 and other upcoming updates. At the same time we will keep fixing the bugs you encounter and listening to your feedback on how to improve the overall game experience.

Stability

Various stability improvements including:

  • Memory usage improvements in various systems within the game: characters, interactions, navigation, in-game videos (news, tv, etc.), foliage, laser effects, minimap, devices, AI, street traffic, environmental damage system, GPU-related, and more.
  • Various crash fixes (related to, among others, loading saves, game opening/closing and Point of No Return).

Quests/Open World

  • Fixed an issue where calls from Delamain would end immediately and seem like they cannot be picked up in Epistrophy.
  • Fixed an issue where players would not receive calls from Delamain when approaching relevant vehicles in Epistrophy.
  • Fixed an issue where the objective could get stuck on "Answer the call from Mr. Hands" in M'ap Tann PΓ¨len.
  • Fixed an issue where Judy could teleport underground in Pyramid Song.
  • Fixed an issue where it would be impossible to talk to Zen Master in Poem of The Atoms.
  • Fixed an issue where Takemura wouldn't call in Down on the Street.
  • Fixed an issue where Jackie could disappear in The Pickup.
  • Fixed an issue where it could be impossible to get out of the car in The Beast in Me: The Big Race.
  • Fixed an issue where players could stop receiving calls and messages after moving too far away from A Day In The Life area.
  • Fixed an issue where opening the package wouldn't update Space Oddity.
  • Retro-fixed the saves affected by a rare issue where speaking to Judy in Automatic Love would be impossible due to an invisible wall. The underlying issue is under investigation.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented players from collecting the reward in Gig: Freedom of the Press. The quest will auto-complete for those who could not collect the reward previously, and the reward will be provided automatically.
  • Fixed an issue where Delamain would remain silent throughout Epistrophy if the player initially refused to help him.

If this patch is an indication of what GGG can accomplish in 4 months, I never want to go back to the 3 month schedule

Not only is the sheer amount of content impressive, it is also so well designed and cleverly implemented. Past leagues often had a point where it felt like GGG didn't think their idea through to the end.

One personal example of ritual being awsome was me finding a 5 link that I could only defer because it was too expensive. Then loosing this to a zone that had only one ritual altar with not enough to pay the defer cost only to find an even better 5 link a few zones later.

TLDR: let's all play the crap out of this patch and show GGG that 4 months are the correct choice.

Guys please don’t think the day 1 patch will be a miracle

I mean the game could come out and be a bug-less masterpiece so who knows but reviewers are saying pretty much the only negative is the bugs, which there seems to be a lot of. In fact I want to be wrong but I doubt I will be in this case

I see many comments saying β€œDay 1 patch will fix most things” and although I live the optimism, I doubt it’ll fix the copious amount of bugs detailed

I’m still expecting many bugs and playing on the Xbone one, there will be spade fulls of it and that’s fine I guess

Just don’t hype yourself thinking it will be flawless, we all want it to be but CDPR has been very cautious about reviewers own footage and that speaks volumes

I’m super, super hyped and my friends honestly have wanted me to shut up about it for the past 6 months so I’m as excited as you guys, it’s just I also want to be realistic

Edit: It’s not a huge problem if there’s bugs. I’ve played through Fallout 4 multiple times and played 1000 hours of Ark so I’m used to it, just saying we shouldn’t expect bugs to magically disappear

AIRDROP ESCALATION TAKEOVER

With this update, we’re testing a new approach to LTMs. Instead of launching as its own playlist, the Airdrop Escalation LTM will be a β€œtakeover” of the normal β€œPlay Apex” game mode. It’s classic Battle Royale, but with way, way more supply drops. Immediately after you leave the Jumpship, you’ll find a cluster of four supply drops across the map. During each round, more will dropβ€”they land at the same speed as Lifeline’s Care Packages.

Each supply drop contains a fully-kitted weapon of different tiers, depending on the round. For example, Round one’s drops feature level two kitted weapons while Round four’s drops include red armor and crate weapons. As with regular fully-kitted weapons, you can’t break them down or swap their attachments onto other weapons. And, of course, regular weapons and weapons will still appear as ground loot.

Karthus Q Buffering is dead on the newest patch, making the champion feel extremely clunky and broken.

A few weeks ago, when Viego first went live on the PBE, I noticed that Karthus Q had it's buffering removed. If you aren't familiar, buffered spells allow you to 'cast' the spell again while it's on cooldown, allowing it to immediately cast when it leaves CD. This is an extremely helpful mechanic to any champion with very low ability cooldowns, and is present on other battlemages like Cassiopeia and Ryze.

If you're asking why, Q buffering was removed in an attempt to fix Karthus leaving fountain before 15 seconds, a very prominent bug for a while, even resulting in Karthus taking 1st place for 'fastest death in a game.' It was fixed, but it was fixed at the cost of his usability as a champion.

I've sent in bug reports for the PBE, got into contact with a few developers and famous bugsplatters like u/Caenen_, and hoped for the best. Lo and behold, exactly what I feared.

Karthus' playability was ignored in favor of Viego's release.

Undocumented Changes:

  • Deathwing

    • Fixed an issue where Draconic Might would grant protected when Deathwing gained less than 4 Armor Plates
  • D.Va

  • Fixed an issue where the Mech could grant experience & takedown credit multiple times

  • Hogger

  • The system for handling Hogger going out of bounds now lasts 0.5 seconds, rather than as long as Hogg Wild is active

  • No Control is now removed by Devouring Maw

  • No Control will no longer track dead, stopped or heroes in stasis

  • No Control now looks in 1.75 radius for targets to decelerate, down from 2 radius

  • Thrall

  • Fixed an issue where the Shields provided by Earthen Shields would grant 15% of Thrall's Maximum Health as Shields, rather than 15% of the target's Maximum Health as Shields

  • Tassadar

  • Fixed an issue where Archon would not extend the duration of Feedback's Armor Reduction while it remained active


NOTE: Valeera's patch notes have been updated to say that Smoke Bomb now grants 60 armor, instead of the level 20 storm upgrade increasing the armor granted by Smoke Bomb to 60.

Patch 11.2 Preview [More Changes]

A follow up from the previous post last week


Riot Scruffy Tweeted the patch 11.2 preview.

Patch Preview 11.2:

  • Buffing up options outside of Sunfire for tanks (and giving support tanks more choices)

  • Shurelia's shift to make it attractive to enchanter/mage supports

More details tomorrow, still work in progress.

Quick additional update:

  • Elise added to nerf list

  • Aatrox changes more of a neutral shifting power away from the healing amp

  • Kraken slayer damage proc will respect reduced on hit modifiers (Katarina, Aphelios, Urgot)
