"What have you done?" Gabriel said, both visage and words twisted in anxiety as he frantically looked around, before his eyes finally settled on me.
"Haha, very funny," I exhaled. "Look, get off it. We have important things to do. Food to eat, games to play..."
"Um," he said, gaze now fixated on the floor. "What the hell is this?"
"Heh. Hell," I chuckled. "Look, I admit, it was funny for about five seconds, OK? I should have laughed instead of dismissing you. Maybe you'll come off it sooner."
"Look, Alex," said Gabriel, his voice genuinely strained with concern. "I don't want to alarm you. But if this is what I think it is..."
"Oh, is it those kind of jokes where you go on for so long it becomes funny again?" I said. "Because honestly, you are acting pretty well."
"I'm not acting," he said, dead serious. At least, he looked dead serious. Sounded like it, too.
I narrowed my eyes, trying to scrutinize his every move. His feet were supernaturally rooted to the floor, while his torso and legs tugged itself in various positions, like he was trying to escape. I'm not even sure if bodies could move like that. Whatever he was doing, it was good. Very good. He turned to me again, his eyes filled with dread.
Too good?
"Please," he said. "Release me."
"Hold on," I mumbled. "That's a devil trap."
"As plain as day," he sighed.
"So you are..." I trailed off, letting him complete the sentence.
He flashed a pitiful grin, and chuckled nervously.
"No way," I continued. "There's absolutely no way."
"Look," Gabriel said. "This is very embarrassing. I didn't intend to tell you this way."
"You?" I cried. "You are the Devil?
Welp, guess I finished the sentence myself anyway. He looked sheepish and skittish, like he wanted the ground to open up and swallow him whole--which, actually, he probably could do, if he was who he said he was--and placed his hand behind his head.
"I really don't want to be trapped here and have this conversation, dude," Gabriel said. "It's just... I am who I am, you know."
"The guy who plays stupid RPGs with me?" I uttered in utter disbelief. "The guy who eats Pringles like, like... "
"The Devil consumes souls?" he said, helpfully. I looked at him in shock.
"I don't do that," he said. "That's a stereotype."
"The guy too nervous to approach Mabel from the stupid pottery class?"
"Please," he said. "Just... remove a tiny part of the trap? Please? This is getting very uncomfortable for me."
"Oh, for god's sake," I cried. "Your name is

So, our heroes have been living in a meager village, and doing the occasional job for the lord. Over time they've become friends with his adopted daughter. The Lord is getting older, and its about time he got married.
So my idea is to run an adventure that spans the course of a year, told in vingettes or montoge like fashion, descriping the players pursuing their own interests and witnessing the lord hosting and courting a number of eligible noble women in his county.
To make matters fun and interesting (sort of light hearted and humorous ideally, to give a break for the dark horror I usually run) I want to have the daughter request the PCs help her saboatage some of these dates, until she feels she finds a woman worthy of the man who has taken care of her throughout her life.
Have any of you run something similar to this? Do you have any ideas on what sort of antics they could get caught up in while avoiding combat and upsetting the nobility to the point they are thrown in prison?
My first thought is the daughter asks for their aid on spying on the women, sort of gathering intelligence on her personality. Maybe they could act as servants at dinner, and make checks to ensure dinner goes smoothly while noting her responses to poignenet questions about love, child raising, etc.
Perhaps one time they actually make the dinner because it must perfect, or they sabotage a romantic rendezvous without getting caught.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. At the moment I think I want to include four possible women for the lord to marry (based on previous sessions and established noble houses.) I worry it might get redundant, so any ideas are very welcome!
Thanks in advance!
So I was watching this movie (my favorite since I was little) and in the part when the girls are figuring out they are twins, I was just like how could these two girls, that have just met, find out they are twins and Marinette and Adrien who know each other for about a year or so donβt know their identities!!
I know that they really donβt talk about their private lives, and they canβt, and the time they have known themselves at school really hasnβt made them closer (since Mari always gets weird around Adrien). But still, Annie and Hallie didnβt know each other and still found out lol π
Let me know why you think Adrien and Mari havenβt figured out their identities :)
Almost all of us have probably had an old person come up to us with stuff about vaccines and how they are going to give us all irreparable lung damage and make us sterile or whatever the flavor of the month topic is.
Have any of you ever gotten through to your parents or older family members? I really don't enjoy seeing them become tools of misinformation campaigns but every time that I try to talk to them about this type of thing I just get annoyed because there are so many layers of evolution denial and the satanic panics.
Any good ideas about what could maybe get through to them? My current attempt is to tell them about the Russian disinformation campaigns, maybe this one works.
Can't post the actual meme image because of subreddit rules, but this popped up on my Facebook and I felt it in my soul-
keelyflaherty on Twitter: the most realistic part of the parent trap is that annie/hallie's dad has absolutely no idea that his daughters have switched places, but within 48 hours hallie's nanny/surrogate mother is like "you didn't eat your chili, who are you little stranger"
