Tl;dr If you're still playing Rifleman, just go commando. It's another world of difference. To be honest, semi auto and bolt action receivers need a 60 damage buff to even begin to almost be on the same level as commando.
So I'm going to get on this soap box for a minute and give my opinion.
This is directly in response to current testing in PTS.
I play many different builds so don't take this as me complaining about a potential bloodied nerf. We already spend to much time grinding events and legendaries just to add more time grinding for more ammo because of less damage over time for big boss fights.
Nerfing potential damage output by reworking the damage multipliers of mutation/perks/legendary effects is not going to make more "viable" builds for this game.
You are taking the builds that make up 70%-80% of this game, and players that have spent 100's of hours trading/grinding/gambling/playing and throwing it out the window.
Instead of nerfing those builds why not focus on making MORE usable builds. This is called Power Creep.
In this example I'll just cover weapons, but similar adjustments could be applied to armors as well.
Let's work to make more useful legendary weapons and armors!!!!!... keep reading on reddit ➡
I wholeheartedly love and enjoy the music of Coldplay, Moby, and U2.
I don't know if it was always like this, but for as long as I can remember- which begins when I first started listening to these artists, in my early teens- it has been "cool" to hate on these three musical acts. This hate usually lives more among the more snobby/edgy music encyclopedia critical types I know, but also exists among casual listeners, who I've found usually just say they hate Coldplay/Moby/U2 simply because... it's the cool thing to do. When pressed, the casual listener can at best come back with "I just don't like Bono... he's a douche" (or something about him and politics).
It's obviously impossible to be objective about something as subjective as music. Me personally, I am extremely open-minded and accepting of all different kinds of music... I love it all, from Eastern European folk and gypsy music to classical to hip-hop, jazz, rock, electronic, etc. and the million sub-genres which sprout from ea... keep reading on reddit ➡
Finally, I can talk about spoilers from Before the Dawn.
The topic I want to discuss today stands from a misconception I've seen multiple times especially when it comes to fanfics and speculations regarding Jaune's potential due to his large aura pool. Many have argued that, since Jaune has an abnormally large amount of aura, in theory, he should be able to boost large amounts of people at the same time up to army levels. This is something I've seen fairly often, the idea that a large aura means really overpowered Semblance feats...and that's not exactly true. Don't get me wrong, large amounts of aura do allow people to do impressive things, however, aura and semblances on their own should always remain weaker than magic and even large amounts of aura are limited specifically in a person's aura output.
Before the Dawn brought us a new character that was arguably born with more aura than Jaune but even if not, she can get way more aura than him. I'm talking about one of the main villa... keep reading on reddit ➡
Title, by creating a more controllable damage ceiling they can supplement this change by adjusting top & low end damage output to curve out toward a more ideal middle ground that could offer more playstyle variety in the long run.
Top end damage is still gonna be top end, it doesn't turn the game into anymore of a grindfest than current version, TTK is still extremely low on & sneaking is still soft godmode (hopefully a lesser version of enhanced perception is given to all enemies outside of daily ops so sneaking around might actually require some braincells to sneak around instead of intentionally having to crawl up a yoai guai's ass to be detected by it).
Maybe then they can also have some sort of penalty for dying later on so it's not just a loading screen and provides some reason to not use death as a free stimpak. Maybe 10% durability loss on equipped gear.

I recently had solar installed on my home in Colorado. I purchased a 9.8 kWh system, and was surprised when it maxed out at just 65% of capacity (6.38kW). I live in Colorado, so I hit this cap frequently.
My setup is 26 LG NeON R 375w panels with Enphase IQ 7 microinverters (IQ7-60-2-US). Initially the install company was going to give me the NeON R with the inverter installed, but they said they were having issues with that model of inverter on other installations and offered to switch to an equivalent Enphase model with an extended 25-year warranty.
Below is a screenshot of what a good sunny day looks like. Every one of those peaks are exactly 6.38 kW/h (the graph displays in 15 minute increments). It also does not seem to be related to temperature loss, as I get the same results whether it's cool (<60) or warm (>90) degree day. I expected there to be some real-world loss, but it seems to me there's something else going on.
Please help me understand what is happening to the... keep reading on reddit ➡
Is there downside to using animation curves to something like handling xp leveling curves and such? At glance they seem like they would be fast and visual way to adjust game balance during development (instead of crafting math functions to do the same things).
I really dislike people saying "Well Middleton is playing with Giannis so of course it's easy for him to have better TS% than Lebron". Please, Harden is arguably the #1 offensive player in the game now that KD is sidelined, with teams at points just throwing double teams at him when he crosses half court.
Russ is not some otherworldly floor general like CP3 that you could say his playmaking makes up for vastly worse efficiency on offense, not to mention Middleton is a better defender.
We're talking about 2020, not their entire career, and this year Middleton was better. There weren't any serious arguments why Russ is clearly better, just a barrage of downvotes to anyone disagreeing.
edit: I don't agree (or care) about B/R's specific # rankings, just that I disagree that Westbrook is clearly better than Middleton. There's no point telling me "He's not X places better than Westbrook" or "He's not a top-15 player" because that's not what I argue.
Most everyone knows that if you have a flip-flop and you violate the setup/hold times of the D input (by having a transition too close to a rising CLK edge), there is a possibility that the output will take on an analog metastable value for some unbounded amount of time.
However, this is only one case. Is it possible for Q to go metastable in any of the following cases?
Is it a valid rule of thumb to say "metastability is only possible in situations that could potentially result in a transition on Q"? If so, the answers to the above would all be "no metastability". But perhaps that rule is too weak.
I have a Pi 3b+ all set up using composite output connected to an old CRT TV. It works very well. N64 and PS1 all look original and run at full speed. I thought upgrading to the Pi 4 would make things even smoother.
However, this seems to be the opposite. PS1 and N64 game stutter more than on the 3b+. I am using the same setting as on the 3b+, with the exception of adding enable_tvout=1 to the config.
Are there other settings I will need to disable/enable to get better performance? Is the Pi 4's composite output worse than the 3b+? Maybe it will be fixed in the future? Thank you!
For those, who don't know what eHP is: it's basically the combination of HP and DEF of a unit, displaying its actual tankiness. To calculate the eHP, we use this formula:
eHP = HP/(1000/(1140+3,5*DEF))
The GB10 Boss has 170010 HP and 1796 DEF. So his eHP is:
170010/(1000/(1140+3,5*1796)) = 1262494
The GB12 Boss has 298275 HP and 3155 DEF. His eHP:
298275/(1000/(1140+3,5*3155)) = 3633735
Dividing the GB12 eHP by the GB10 eHP, we get:
3633735/1262494 = 2,878
This means that non-defense-broken, the GB12 Boss will take nearly triple the amount of damage the GB10 Boss took. If we do the same calculations for a defense-broken Boss (which is more realistic), we need to reduce his defense by 70% (or multiply it by 0,3) . So we get:
GB10: 170010/(1000/(1140+3,5*0,3*1796)) = 514416
298275/(1000/(1140+3,5*0,3*3155)) = 1328144
1328144/514416 = 2,582
So a defense-broken GB12 Boss takes 2,5 times more damage than a defense-broken GB10-Boss. Also, the GB10 Boss... keep reading on reddit ➡

Personally, I don’t really have a clue. BGS has shown many times that they’re capable of pushing the envelope with open world games, but I just don’t know if the BGS from 2011 is the same as the one we have nowadays.
I think my biggest concern comes down to the engine that Starfield will run on. The Creation Engine just doesn’t cut it in its current state, and I would completely get on the hype train if BGS announced either a highly upgraded version of the CE, or even a completely new engine entirely.
Basically, as the title says, how would you rank (from favourite to lest favourite) all the SW content that Disney had put out so far? The list can include films, books, TV shows, games and comics. Or just movies if you want, it's your list.
Anyway, here's my list...
(Yeah, I cheated by splitting TCW S7 into two fractions lol. If I were to take the season as a whole I'd probably put it between TLJ and R1.)
So what do you chaps think of my list and how would you rank all the Disney output so far?
Is the linear concept related?
Help! I'm using my retropie on an old tv that takes rca input so I'm using the 3.5mm on the raspberry pi for it. the video works fine, but the audio sounds really deep and slow. any help would be much appreciated!
Will the Pixel 4a support video out via its USB-C port?
Since I've seen lots and lots of people complain about fan kicking in when doing light work, or overheating I'd like to just remind you that Renoir is Zen2, and boosting in Zen2 heats up CPU very fast.
I am running Thinkpad T14 with 4750U and I've noticed that if I disable boost (echo 0 >/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/boost) I can use my laptop with fan never kicking in (as CPU never goes above 52'C), it includes watching 1080p HEVC video in mpv with all the sharpening filters enabled (as in, they cost lots of CPU cycles).
The drawback is that I am limiting myself to just 1.7 GHz, however since it's 16 thread CPU I don't care much.
Right now I've configured acpid to disable boost when AC is not connected, and usually keep it disabled on AC too, unless I compile software, then I just toggle boost on.
For example, watching 1080p HEVC encoded video with sharpening filtes in mpv with boost enabled result in about 75-80'C on CPU, and fan kicking in, with boost disabled, it hove... keep reading on reddit ➡
I’m at level 80 on RDM and have all 490 augmented ish/crystarium gear and the 485 resistance weapon. I’ve got crit and DH Materia melded, with Dh stat at 3000, and Crit at 2798. I’ve looked up guides and practiced my rotation to try an maximize it.
As it is my 2min cycle dps is putting out about 1.56mil dmg and the 8min cycle putting out 5.6 dmg (granted I messed up the end of the 8min by missing Verholy/flare and scorch, but I figure even with the my dmg is probably not much higher).
The question being, if I want to do savage content, is that enough dps? If not what else can I do besides switching classes to up my dps output?
Edit: I’ve looked up several rotation guides and have practiced to make sure I have it down and am constant on using cds.
Thanks for the tips everyone, I’ll put em to use an see how it goes
Hi there, a background to my post - I had earlier been using the LG V20 for 3 years before all its batteries started acting out. Before that, I was an enthusiast photographer exclusively clicking with a DSLR or Mirrorless (both APSC). For me, the V20 had been an amazing companion due to its seamless manual mode and an additional ultrawide camera. This was in addition to the many unique features of the smartphone. Hence, only when the phone was no longer able to keep up with daily tasks, did I search for its replacement. So, I quickly bought a Samsung Galaxy S20 (powered by Exynos) with a leap of faith.
During early days with S20, I relied more on the auto mode due to how livelier the pictures looked compared to V20. However, as more time passed by, I had begun to observe that the pictures weren’t as detailed as I would have liked, nor did they justify the bigger sensor size. Then I realised that I could also use the 64MP mode, in which the so-called telephoto lens would be utilised. B... keep reading on reddit ➡
Forgive my ignorance but wouldnt the natural choice be to have the outputs go from the pan downwards and the fresh input into the cistern at the top like it is so clearly animated as??
