SPACE FORCE has a lot of the same humor as Dr. Strangelove or Catch 22 or any other sort of military satire you can think of. Greg Daniels and Steve Carrell really decided to take the Netflix money and go HAM with it and I thought it was an interesting show.
The mega-critical backlash though kind of baffles me. Again, why would you take Netflix money and recreate a broadcast network sitcom? THE OFFICE in space also sounds like a mega-cringey idea. I have to imagine everyone was expecting Naird to be Michael Scott but I loved we got this deeply complex and flawed guy just trying to do his best without being a complete nincompoop or whatever Flanderized hell would have popped up.
idk just my two cents. im sure there are dozens of us that feel the same way.
There are 0 scenarios where I should receive an email from a god damned manager that reads 'take a look at these, there both for you'. I have to go behind my 2 colleagues and 'clean up' the work they fill into communal spreadsheets because I'd be embarrassed if other people thought I contributed such dreck. Just today my workmate had put the simple input 'Mr & Mrs Smith' into a spreadsheet as, and I quote, 'mrq ans mrs smih' and then just moved on with his life with nary a care in the world, like what the FUCK, people?
PSA: everyone who comments 'humorously' bad grammar replies to a thread complaining about bad grammar pulls their shirts all the way up to their chins when they pee
I am 60 years old I will be 61 soon. as I age I know my memory my thought process has slowed down. It's a fact. I wonder why both major parties want to give us these decrepit 70 + senile old ass people running our government. We deserve younger more adaptable who understand the world we live in now. Who get the information age and can make laws that are in the public's interest. I don't know what that age should be but + 70 is far to old
“Can I help you?” He asked.
“I keep thinking that I’m a moth.” I replied.
“You probably want a Psychiatrist for that.”
“Yeah, I know.”
He looked confused. “Then why are you here?”
“The light was on.”
My fiancé Mark works closely with a woman—Megan. They both have similar responsibilities and need to work together as a team. I’ve never had any problems with this. They don’t really interact outside of work.
We have been working from home the last several weeks. I happened to be in the living room with him yesterday while his office had their weekly zoom meeting.
During that meeting, people began talking about what they wanted to do when everyone returned to the office. I could hear someone say that my fiancé and Megan must really miss each other. Several other people began referring to them as “work wife” and “work husband”. Then someone suggested that my fiancé and Megan should “renew their vows” when everyone is back in the office.
Mark just played along and joked that they would be registered at Office Depot. I left the living room in tears while he continued, oblivious to how I was feeling.
I confronted him after the call and said I felt humiliated. Our wedding was... keep reading on reddit ➡
>The 16 current playoff teams would qualify for the group stage, plus the four teams with the next-best records (Trail Blazers, Pelicans, Kings, and Spurs). The remaining 10 teams would be done for the season. The survey sent to each general manager noted that “tiers” would first be created using the regular-season standings to ensure competitive balance between the groups.
>For example, the 20 teams could be allocated into five tiers in descending order by record.
>Tier 1: Bucks, Lakers, Raptors, Clippers
>Tier 2: Celtics, Nuggets, Jazz, Heat
>Tier 3: Thunder, Rockets, Pacers, Sixers
>Tier 4: Mavericks, Grizzlies, Nets, Magic
>Tier 5: Blazers, Pelicans, Kings, Spurs
>Groups could then be randomly drawn, with one team from each tier going into each group. The NBA is working on approaches to fairly balance the groupings,... keep reading on reddit ➡
Just rename your file from .docx to .zip and open it. You will get a folder of all the stuff inside the doc, like all the images and some crazy xml content. This saves a lot of time. All of the Office files that end with ‘x’ (.DOCx, .PPTx, .XLSx) are built on an XML foundation and can be opened that way. If you get an older file (.doc) just open in Word and “save as” a docx file to get an unzippable file.
I have been raised by a single mother, my mom has always told me dad's not in the picture and she'd explain when I'm older.
A few years ago, my mom said she'd had an affair with a married man, she got pregnant, and she had no regrets about having me, but the man wanted nothing to do with us and things quickly turned sour between them. He would pay child support money, not court ordered because he didn't want to go to court, but of his own volition, and that was it.
This year, I found out who my father is. My mom who has trouble with math wanted help with her taxes and I found out about monthly checks from a man in her finances. I asked if he's my father and she said yes. But she didn't want to talk about him.
I looked him up later and he's a conservative politician in this state.
I wanted to talk more with my mom and process things, but she really didn't want to talk.
So I talked to my friends, and told them who he is. And one night my friend was having a party and we'd gotten bee... keep reading on reddit ➡
