Nu știu dacă sunt singurul cu părerea asta, dar când vine vorba de religie în România, am observat ceva.
De bine de rău, românii, mai mult sau mai puțin credincioși, țin la religia lor, chiar dacă într-un mod superficial.
Personal cunosc oameni care se autodeclară "atei", dar nu cunosc aproape pe nimeni care să nu facă parte oficial din Biserica Ortodoxă Română, "cu acte", sau mai de grabă, fără acte.
Mi se pare interesant pentru că în lumea protestantă, în occident în general. Lumea nu-mi pare așa atașată de denominațiunea lor protestantă, poate și pentru că nu au o biserică națională și țările sunt mai puternic secularizate. Dar nu e ceva toatal necomun, ca un prezbiterian să se enerveze pe a sa biserică și să treacă la luterani, spre exemplu. Cu siguranță nu vei fi amenințat cu iadul veșnic/etc.
Nu am scris asta să dau cu parul în cineva, dar mă întrebam dacă e un fenomen pe care l-ați observat și voi? Și mă întrebam dacă vi-l puteți explica.

They were always the conservatives, the communists, the socialists the ones who used the Church officials to keep people in check after the fall of communism in 1989. This is why talking about left and right in general is completely useless here. At least there needs to be mentioned that the economic left is not the same as the social left and same when it comes to the right. For the young western people out there, please stop confounding socialism with progressivism. They are NOT the same thing.
Here's an example of a referendum supported by the social democratic party, the party with those stupid roses in their logo. They made team with multiple protestant, neo-protestant and orthodox organisations for this to happen and gather the signatures. "The Romanian Constitution defines the family as being founded on the free-willed marriage "between spouses", but the initiative's promoters sought to amend the gender-neutral language with an explicit reference to marriage as a union between a man and a woman." Romanian statute law does not permit same-sex marriage, but if this referendum would've passed, a future pro-gay marriage change would've been so much more difficult to happen. Most notably, parties like the Green Party and USR(progressive centre-right) encouraged their supporters to boycott the referendum. The referendum failed as the turnout was only 21.1%, below the required voter turnout threshold of 30%.
The good thing about the shitshow that is Romania's political landscape (which isn't exclusive to this country) is that parties like USR can gain real traction in a few years to fill the void that needed a big progressive party and then they can negoti
