I'm stumped trying to figure out a regex expression. Given a file path, I need to match the last numerical component of the path ("frame" number in an image sequence), but also ignore any numerical component in the file extension.
For example, given path:
/path/to/file/abc123/GCAM5423.xmp
The following expression will correctly match 5423
.
((?P<index>(?P<padding>0*)\d+)(?!.*(0*)\d+))
However, this expression fails if for example the file extension contains a number as follows:
/path/to/file/abc123/GCAM5423.cr2
In this case the expression will match the 2
in the file extension, when I still need it to match 5423
. How can I modify the above expression to ignore file extensions that have a numerical component?
Using python flavor of regex. The trick is that I specifically need to modify the above expression to only capture the last group. I am passing this pattern to an external library so it needs to include the named groups (index, pattern) exactly as they are written above, and to only match the last capture group, I can't have multiple capture groups.
I want to explain more clearly:
I have a symbolic expression of a scalar function V(x), with x a vector of symbolic variables. x is really big, like 50 variables, thus V is a complicated function.
However, I need the hessian evaluated at a certain equilibrium point, not the symbolic hessian.
If I type hessian(V,x) it takes 30 second to compute, and then I have to evaluate it. I want to use a numerical method, with a similar concept of the difference quitient, but extended to the second order(hessian) and mutivariable functions
What on earth am I meant to do with this puzzle?
A tried to use the SolveSystem for a non linear set of equations, and, even though it found a solution, the output form is rather arcane.
The short code is :
hTemp=25; q=1.602176e-19; k= 1.3806503e-23; Temp = 273.15+hTemp; Vt=k * Temp/q; hBf = 200; hBr = 50;
Ism=5 * 7e-15; Xti = 3; Xtb = 0; Eg = 1.11 * 1.602e-19; Tm = 273.15 + 25; Is = Ism * (Temp/Tm) ^ Xti * exp(-Eg/(k * Temp) * (1-Temp/Tm)); Bf = hBf * (Temp/Tm) ^ Xtb; Br = hBr * (Temp/Tm) ^ Xtb;
//syms Vbe Vbc Ib Ic Vce;
hVbb=1.5; hRbb=1000; hVcc=15; hRc=100; hVearly=500;
S = SolveSystem( [0 = -Ib+Is * ((exp(Vbe/Vt)-1))/Bf, 0 =-Ic+ Is * ((exp(Vbe/Vt)) * (1-Vbc/hVearly)), -hVbb + Vbe + hRbb * Ib = 0, -hVcc + Vbe -Vbc + hRc * Ic = 0],[Vbe,Vbc,Ib,Ic],[0.65,-2,10ˆ(-3),10ˆ(-6)]);
—————————————————-
But, after solving it, if I try to test if S(2,1) is a number, Like IsΝumber(S(2,1)) the result is zero (not a number)...

I'm hoping to do a MAD outlier detection instead of a SD one.
But Im getting a error message when using the "hampel" and "outliers_MAD" functions.

Do anyone know why I get these error messages?
I basically need to create a function that does the summation of 1 to n for 1/n^2. I have it working for a single number, so if I put like n = 10 it'll execute the summation and give me the right answer, but then I need to make it so it can take a vector of numbers, and do the summation for each number and then report the answers of each summation. After it does the first, I get an error that says numerical expression has x elements: only the first one is used.
this is done in R
Let me know if you can help, feel free to chat, I can send pics if necessary. Thanks in advance.

Getting really bogged down in the following question from Pfeiffer's Probability for Applications. (It's 4-2, in case you have the text.)
Suppose the class {A,B,C} is independent, with P(A) = 0.5, P(A,~B) = 0.1, and P(A U (~B, C)) = 0.55. Determine P(A, (B U ~C)).
I can get the answer in terms of P(C) but have no idea how to get a numerical expression for P(C). My working is here: https://imgur.com/a/MDhDrrw
Can anyone help?
Hi! do we have any equivalent of a credit check/ credit score here in jordan?
"A credit score is a numerical expression based on a level analysis of a person's credit files, to represent the creditworthiness of an individual."
Sorry, I did not manage to form this question more clearly xD
What I was wondering, is how many of the numerous expressive uses of the word "really" found in English can be mirrored in Japanese without making it an odd calque. I know that Japanese people do use "honto" with adjectives to make them more firmly expressive (like "honto ni ureshii", really happy). But, for example, what about adding it to an expression of desire? As in: "really, just go already" - can "honto ni" be used as such prefix? What about a simple "really...?" as a sarcastic statement of disappointment?
I have three questions I hope people can help me with -
First, I created a loop to return 'Fizz' whenever n is divisible by 3, but it keeps returning 'Fizz' even when n/3 == 0 isn't true, but I don't know why:
fizz <- function(n) {
ifelse(as.integer(n) %% 3 == 0, "Fizz", "")
}
fizz(3.5)
"Fizz"
Second, I'm working on classic fizzbuzz problems but i'm trying build it using fizz and buzz, but can't figure out how to code it. I tried nesting 'ifelse' code but it seems very inefficient:
fizzbuzz <- function(n) {
vec <- n
ifelse(n %% 15 == 0, "Fizzbuzz",
ifelse(n %% 5 == 0, buzz(n), *#buzz is the same structure as fizz*
ifelse(n %% 3 == 0, fizz(n), "")))
}
Finally, i've created a variable fbr that returns fizz/buzz/fizzbuzz across range(x,y). I think I can run this only using fizzbuzz, but i'm not quite sure how:
fbr <- function(n,m) {
vec <- n:m
ifelse(vec %% 15 == 0, fizzbuzz(vec),
ifelse(vec %% 5 == 0, buzz(vec),
ifelse(vec %% 3 == 0, fizz(vec),
vec)))
}
Also, fbr doesn't seem to fully run if I try and combine vectors:
fbr(c(10,12), c(13,15))
> "Fizz", 12, 13 *#missing 14 and 15*
Warning messages:
1: In n:m : numerical expression has 2 elements: only the first used
Feel free to DM if you want more info but I appreciate any help folks can provide
You see this on streams and you see this in your own games - out of potentially tens of thousands of people playing Duels at the same time with a comparable number of games/wins/losses, if you are towards the top end of the rating curve you will be facing the same few people over and over again because clearly there is skill-based matchmaking going on.
I probably need to explain why in Heroic mode (which we haven't had a chance to playtest yet) there should not be such matchmaking. If the "good" players cannot face against the "worse" players, the win-rates of both groups will be "reverted" towards 50%, making them earn comparable rewards. This is an artificial participation trophy for the not-so-good players.
Why is this bad you might ask - isn't the point for everybody to have a good time? Well, yes, but... you will be paying money/gold to play Heroic duels, and your ability to get rewards will ultimately dictate if you keep playing it. So few people will be able to break even on gold that the mode becomes negative EV for even the top players. Literally the same thing happened in the much hyped Artifact draft mode, which was dead on arrival because of the matchmaking that they tacked onto their Arena mode.
Arena-type modes are all about the rewards, which in themselves provide their own rating (if I get more rewards I am better). Certainly it is nice to see a numerical expression of your skill, but that skill should not take away from your ability to consistently earn higher rewards (and go gold-infinite) in this game-mode.
There is a middle-road here - have matchmaking just for the first 2-3 games, which are essentially constructed "duels," but this is certainly not what is going on now.
For someone who might be interested about Philippines’ Credit Record
‘Here are some guidelines about credit score and credit report: A credit score is a numerical expression that represents the creditworthiness of an individual. Credit scores ranges from 300 to 850, with 850 as the highest. Your credit score will change gradually as you change the way you handle credit By taking the time to improve your scores, you can qualify for more favorable interest rates Credit scores are based on 5 core factors: payment history, credit utilization, average credit age, account mix and inquiries. Not having any credit cards does not ensure that you have a high credit score.

Image. I don't understand how changing how the values are written can change the output. Before factoring, you have (3)^2 - 9 in the denominator, so you're dividing by zero. But somehow, after factoring the expressions, you can solve for x=3. How? You're not changing the quantity that the fraction represents, no?
I should clarify that I am not talking about this specific case with the limit; I mean if you just have that fraction with the 'x' replaced with a '3,' no calculus. How does changing the way the values in the fraction are written change the value of the fraction? How can factoring and expanding make the difference between haveing a real value for the fraction and dividing by zero?
I want to hear some thoughts because I am *roughly* a middle of the pack player. Made it to Gold League and am working on maxing out my economy/utility, in case anyone is wondering. I can make a separate post for my own stats if that matters.
It appears that a lot of people take issue to some of balancing changes made within the game and I want to address some of those concerns with suggestions and have a discussion with balance ideas. Let's start off by defining a solid balancing philosophy. Typically, if things are dramatically overpowered, then they should be nerfed. However, the opposite applies to things being dramatically underpowered. They should be buffed. Although, if something is dramatically under/overpowered, then it should not be gutted or buffed to oblivion. Adjustments need to be made in increments. Having these very basic rules for balancing will go into the next sections.
Economy: Personally speaking, economy seems to revolve around getting income up first and fast. I have personally seen a growth in progress when I started addressing my economy more than my base stats. I think the economy is in a rather healthy spot, not taking into consideration GT. Once you have nearly all of the utility upgrades maxed, free utility upgrade is useless. What makes it worse is the scaling in the workshop for this upgrade. It's more expensive for hardly any reason when all utility upgrades have caps. On top of this, starting cash value is extremely low. Why burn valuable time and coins to ONLY get a $5 increase in cash?
Defensive stats: The current strategy I have seen and personally used is max thorn, life steal, and hp. Damage plays into life steal but that will come later. The current useless stats past roughly tier 1-2 is health regen and abs def. The scaling on abs def is arguably terrible and health regen is useless due to lifesteal. Thorn is also absurdly strong if that's the primary way to deal damage to enemies and bosses in later stages.
Offensive stats: I'd argue this is the more balanced end of all 3 areas. If anything, I would just add more offensive options to offset the current strategy.
My balance changes:
