I called in sick today because I am running a fever and throwing up. I probably shouldn’t be touching peoples food and talking to a group of people. Why the fuck do I need to go to a doctor office that I damn well can’t afford when it’s something some over the counter medicine can resolve? Edit: Thanks for the replies. To clear some stuff up yea I’m in America. I’m in the good industry. Sick days do not exist for us at all. Next time I will just throw up on their floors and clock out to go home.
Take a deep dive with the devs into the Legacy update. We’re going beyond Battle Royale with Arenas, introducing a new Legend (Valkyrie), as well as new Arenas maps, an Olympus map update, and much more. Click the video down below to watch.
The Games are going underground with the introduction of a new permanent mode: Arenas. Fully reassembled and unimpressed with the glitz and glamor of the Apex Games, former Apex Predator Ash is taking the competition back to its roots. A purer form of combat.
The rules are simple: 3-versus-3. Eliminate your enemies to win the round. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. You win, or you die.
Arenas features a new set of custom maps, tailor-made for close-quarters combat (with more to come in the future). Squads start each round in a spawn room, where they can get weapons, gear, and abilities, and adjust their loadout as their strategy changes. The first team to win three rounds with at least a two-point lead will be crowned the victor—unless they battle to a four-four tie. Then they’ll have the honor of participating in Ash’s favorite part of the game: Sudden Death.
For more on Arenas, check out the blog for a full deep dive into the new mode.
Short version, Mirage took the voyage on a joyride and it didn’t go as planned.
Party Crasher is one of two exciting custom arenas where you’ll be able to show off your skills. This arena takes place in a ritzy, downtown plaza where players can choose to engage on the crashed Mirage Voyage, or the opulent two story buildings that make up the downtown. Stay vigilante, as this map hosts a variety of engagement distances—both close quarters and long distance.
The Phase Runner on Olympus is unique, but it wasn’t the first of its kind.
Phase Runner is the second of our custom arenas, and our largest. You’ll fight in a hidden, experimental zone... keep reading on reddit ➡
For those of you who only know Caedrel as an Ex-Pro and Caster, he also does a fair bit of streaming. I have been tuning in for a while now and really need to give credit for how positive and informative he has been. Today was different though. In one of his Solo Q games, he ran into someone who was clearly upset and distraught. He spent the whole game trying to win for this single player who was clearly having a hard time. After the game, he added the player and tried to give him words of encouragement and positivity. Come to find out he is just a 17-year-old going through a really hard time in life. The player's PC had broken and was playing on a 40FPS laptop so Caedrel goes out of his way to purchase and ship him a new computer. This is an incredible example of how much impact you can have on a single persons life in just the smallest interactions online with strangers.
This brings up a broader point of positivity versus toxicity in video games, the internet, and life. I recently lost someone extremely close to me to suicide. It is something that haunts me every day and my mental health has been struggling because of this. I think we can all relate with having hard times in life and how much the littlest kindness can help. Take this as a reminder to spread some extra positivity in your games and in your real life. Please make sure to also combat toxic people and try to help turn the tides into a better environment for everyone.
Good luck on the rift and be kind.

Apes, this is going to be an extremely quick post. I'm sorry that it won't include anything super funny or anything too in-depth but this is extremely important and I had to get it out now.
I am currently constructing a DD and would've put this message in that DD but this was too urgent and too important to wait (I will be posting that DD this weekend). Ok, so as many of you know, GME is currently fucking the shorts. You've probably noticed that my FTD cycle prediction model was correct again (every 35 calendar days or 21ish trading days). Though I fully believe that yesterday's price action was from the FTD cycle, today's price action got me thinking (and erect). Normally, we do not see a huge rise on the day after the FTD cycle day like we did today. So, what I'm thinking it either a. they threw in the towel or got margin called (.1% chance that's the case cuz it would've rocketed up), or b. they are trying to make a little frenzy right now so apes sell before earnings and the annual meeting. IMO they might be trying to get the price up a little so apes either take their money now or so they can do another one of those monster short attacks like we saw in March.
I believe that they might be doing this because the annual meeting is likely to have a SHIT TON of good news (that nft shit is the first one and they haven't even confirmed it). My next DD talks, in part, about how GME is consolidating to earnings and that if there is a good announcement on earnings, which is likely, the squeeze could start. SO PLEASE REMEMBER, that even though the price is excellent today it could be the result of manipulation to try to get apes out before the real show starts. The dawn of war is upon us, retards. Be prepared for some fucked up shit. As always.... stay motherfucking strong, apes.
Edit: anyone else think it's hilarious how much financial media is downplaying this? Really? It almost $100 in two days on no news and retail buying alone? I love how they won't even consider manipulation.
THIS IS NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE, I AM NOT A FINANCIAL ADVISOR, I AM A FUCKING PRIMATE.
Going to transcribe as it happens - watch along here:
Tommy End / Aleister Black is live on Twitch, giving a rambly recount of his time in WWE. Overall he is incredibly happy, positive and sincere. He seems really well adjusted. The comments below are verbatim, and if they seem confused it's because he hopped around a bunch - he seemed excited / a bit anxious to just chat.
Dark Father: The plan was to unfurl over time and explain the role. This was mostly his idea, he says.
Super thankful for the exposure and the experience. He has a good relationship with Vince. Vince could never nail down exactly what he wanted to say with Black.
Loved how Heyman would go to bat for him.
When doing the Room promos, he would use the opponents colours in the background of the room. He added easter eggs to what he was doing.
Black would lay tarot cards, and use those as inspiration for his gear, and often plan out coloured jackets for feuds (he gives the example of Buddy Murphy, and turning green with envy) so all colours were significant as to how he felt in that moment)
Refers to his time in WWE as "having shackles on" and how much he got done while having those on, and is excited to see what happens without them. He's always taken huge pleasure in creating characters.
Aleister Black "was basically the devil with memory loss" - what if Lucifer fell to earth and didn't know how he got there, and what he had to atone for? So the angrier he got, the more demon flesh would be added to his gear (opinion - this is fucking wild and I love it!) He chose to continue with the eye from the angle where he lost an eye. He enjoyed researching cult leaders and noted they usually have a big aesthetic choice like white hair.
the glasses are his. Xavier Woods told him "you look like a cult leader" so he kept them for Dark Father.
Returns to the idea of easter eggs / layers. Notes his promos were often not his writing. Talks about the MITB promo on AJ where he stepped out of the dark - "fuck it, I'm gonna do what I wanna do" and everyone loved it.
"Don't get mad at our creative" says they try super hard and are good, creative people. Mentions "Bruce" (Pritchard, I'm assuming) as going to bat for him. The opinion was "no one moves like him, no one is intense like him". "In the last 5 years I have proven myself to be one of the most influential strikers of my generation".
"It's bittersweet - I owe everything to WWE. My
There is a hard truth we have not discussed. There will be people on this Reddit today that will take their lives. That won’t joke about Hodling or post memes. These are people that may have invested their entire savings, taken out massive amounts of debt, etc. to finance what they thought would make them rich. I’m here to say we’ve all been there. I’m the king of poor money management. There is always help and a way out and your family does not want to lose you over debt or lost money.
We need to be here for each other. There is a way. Even if you have already declared Chapter 7, have lost everything, and do not know what to do, they can only garnish so much of your wages (15% in Illinois maximum for all lenders) and it will reduce tax liability. Do this until you are either eligible for Chapter 7 or 13 again.
There is no way - short of borrowing from the mob- they can take everything from you. If your house is at risk. You’ll rent for a little. You’ll tell your family what happened and ask them to forgive you because you want to live.
What I just went through at the worst case scenarios. You can get through those. You can get through anything. Again, let’s all post our offers below to talk. People will need it today.
Hey everybody, these are the notes I took during the recent developer interview on the Destiny Community Podcast. Edit: You can find the vod of this podcast on twitch.tv/dcp_live
Community members Cammycakes, Coolguy, Falloutplays, Mercules, and Drewsky asked questions to two Bungie developers. First in the hot seat was Kevin Yanes who is a Sandbox Discipline Lead. For about an hour, he fielded questions on subclass abilities, bascially anything that a character can do that isn't shooting a gun. Kevin and Chris took questions together for about twenty minutes. For a little over an hour after that, Chris Proctor took weapons questions alone. Chris Proctor is a Weapons Feature Lead.
This is not an exhaustive list, and these are all paraphrased. I mainly jotted these down to post in my clan's PvP channel. If there's a note that you remember and isn't here, comment it!
Edit: I like to see my list as a sort of "cliff-notes." There's a bit more exhaustive write-up here.
ABILITY SANDBOX answers from Kevin Yanes
Eventually you will actually get sick. Go to the doctor and get a real note. Go to a walk in clinic, NOT your regular doctor. Try and get a note that's been typed up on a computer, and signed by pen.
Take a photocopy of the legit note. Use [a photo editor of your choice] to remove the signature, the date stamp and any other identifying or scannable stamps. Keep a copy of the legit note and signature. Save them on your computer and encrypt everything.
Next time you want/need a day off, jump into [a photo editor of your choice] and add the new date. Give yourself a few days if you're feeling extra shitty. Call up work and tell them you're sick and assure them you'll go to the doctor.
Print a handful of copies of the new note and forge the pen signature on all of them. Pick the best one and take that to work when you return. After awhile you will get good at it!
Boom. Bam. Profit. You have a short 5 minute process to get an entire day off work, or even multiple days. Depending on your contract you may even be entitled to be paid for them.
A friend of mine has been doing this for over a decade. Employers/managers don't ever check these notes, they scan them into a file that gets forgotten or bury them under a thousand other things they'd rather do. I bet most of them probably get tossed in the trash without a second look.
While I'm pretty sure it's illegal I have no idea if it truly is, but my friend doesn't give two shits if they get caught, as life sucks working full time anyway. Seems low risk to me. Don't sue me if you go to jail though!
Have fun on your day off! Save Ferris ✌️
I hope one day we get a game that can reflect defensive intelligence in game to over rule pace. It’s madness the best defenders in Fifa are usually bang average in real life.
