Just read the news of a 17 year old girl who was murdered and raped. I don't cry, I don't ever cry, but this made me tear up a little bit. It's so fucked up this. Probably no one's getting punished. Nirmala baini ko testo bhayo. Upper house ma bhako muji le rape garya ni enjoyment ho jasari kura garchha, pradhanmantri lai narayanhiti agadi naya coat layera desh lai developed banaisakya jasari guff dina matrai auchha, switzerland banauchhu bhanni lai paisa ra kursi ko matrai chinta chha. Desh mai kei garum bhanne aakanchhya thyo, thyakka muji esto chhan sabai. Everything's fucked up.
Recently, it seems like everyone is frustrated with Nepal. From Facebook, news articles to even this sub, all that's going on is how shitty Nepal is and how shittier it's getting. Nothing has happened in the last 70 years, Nepal will be empty soon, Everyone is moving out! Everyone is taking bribes!! AAAHHH!!!
Yes, Nepal is not developing at the pace that we want. And there are so many low hanging fruits to improve our country that aren't being "picked". But we must not forget that in the entire history of our country, we have never been as rich as we are now. Our infrastructure have been the most developed they have ever been. More and more roads, hydropower, factories, farms are being opened everyday. More and more Nepalis are getting educated. More and more Nepalis are stepping out of poverty everyday. Tourists coming to Nepal are increasing every year (except 2020). Our economy is growing every year.
I don't want to say that I'm satisfied. Of course I'm not. The motherfuckers running this place are incompetent bastards. I get that. But from looking at social media and talking to friends, I get a sense that everyone thinks Nepal is going nowhere. It's a shithole. The only way I'm going to have a good life is if I go abroad.
A recent study showed that out of 140 countries Nepalis ranked in 134 for positive thinking. We are one of the most negative thinking societies in the world. And we look at everything that's happening from a negative lens. I just wanted to say that Nepal isn't that bad. Yes, we are far behind the rest of the world. But we are taking steps forward. And if we let democracy do its' thing, eventually we are going get good leaders and we will be able to develop this country. I remain optimistic about our future.
Rich will definitely get richer, they have ways to avoid taxes, middle class will shrink and we'll still be left with a shitty batch of politicos
