Is there a workout routine or a diet I should follow?
>Erik Spoelstra says Heat were in constant contact with NBA when forced to play with only eight twice in Philadelphia.
Says forcing Tyler Herro into such action might have exacerbated Herro's neck spasms.

Sorry if this sounds like I'm fishing for attention, I'm seriously not. I'm just trying to figure out what everything means.
When I was 15 my parents were going through my things and I tried to stop them, so my mom told my dad to hold me down. He held me down by the neck and after a minute or so I felt like I couldn't breathe. He wasn't squeezing, but he was clenching my neck very tight with both hands. I could still talk but breathily so I kept telling him I couldn't breathe, but he didn't stop. I was an 80ish pound girl so I couldn't resist much. Eventually my mom made him stop. I didn't have any marks afterwards that I remember. I don't know if not being able to breathe was just anxiety or if it was from being strangled. I asked in a medical context once and someone said if you were strangled enough to affect your breathing, you would have marks, so it probably didn't get that far.
Anyway, I never talked about it with my dad but I do feel resentment about it. I guess I just want to ask if things like this with one's parents is pretty normal and not a grudge I should hold onto or if it was a bigger deal than I realize. I'm not really well-calibrated to what is a big deal or not, and this is something I feel confusion about but don't know if it was traumatic or not.
Edit: Still reading through all these, but thank you kindly from my heart for everyone that took the time to reply. It is genuinely helpful. I am 24 and still very involved with my family and financially dependent as a college student so I obviously didn't make the best decisions with that (there's a lot more history like this coming from my mom as well). But I'm working on a plan to separate myself in the next 6 months.
There were no drugs or weapons involved, I was homeschooled and my mom had found chocolate and snacks in my desk she didn't want me to have.
I'm fairly new when it comes to bodyweight fitness. I roughly started around last march during the Covid outbreak and have been doing it on-off since then, but have been quite persistent the last two months.
I mostly (only) do push-ups, pull-ups, chin-ups, abs workouts and "rubberband" exercises such as squats and bulgarian split squats.
But I have always noticed a neck strain during/post workout, especially when doing ab workouts when my head comes off the ground and I have to stay tight. Can also occur during push-ups and pull-ups, but not as often.
I also just recently connected my random headaches to this, but I'm not entirely sure yet. I was just wondering if any of you have gone through similar discomfort experiences with bodyweight exercises and what may be the reason for it?
Thanks, have a great day!
EDIT: Fuck me, thanks for all the comments. Will go through 'em soon!
Abstract: Here I have completed a comprehensive, scientific study of the neck mobility capabilities of each NPC in Destiny 2 (based on their ability to track the player).
Methods: Gain attention of each NPC by standing in front of them and strafing a tiny bit left and right until their head starts tracking me. Move around to measure the maximum neck-turn-angle that the NPC tracks me.
Results: Of 25 NPCs, 8 had no player-tracking neck mobility. This included 2 AI NPCs, one of which has no head, and the other which is purely a head that cannot rotate. Additionally, 1 NPC seemed to ignore the player and focused on peering into the darkness in random directions. The remaining 17 NPCs did track the player, and had neck mobility ranging from approximately 15 degrees to 160 degrees (mean=86.2, stdev=40.1).
