[D] I'm using OpenAI's GPT-2 to generate text. Give me prompts to try!

Thank you all for participating! Based on the popularity of this post, I decided to create a full-blown reddit bot based on it. I won't be responding here anymore but check out the update for more info.

UPDATE: I made a GPT-2 reddit bot

Disclaimer : This is not the full model. This is the smaller and less powerful version which OpenAI released publicly.

EXAMPLE PROMPT:

The NCAA unveiled the 68 college basketball teams that will be dancing this year. It wasn’t short on controversy, as snubbed teams aired out their grievances and blamed a confusing new metric.

OUTPUT:

The numbers came straight from the NCAA's website, where they're being used to calculate the number of national titles, national championship games, and even NCAA games played in a certain year.

"We want to make sure that the NCAA is inclusive," said NCAA President Dave Heidelman. "We want to make sure

Replace the Nations League with a Leagues League. 50 characters in title

Instead of another international tournament which nobody really cares about, ie. the nations league, how about a league of leagues

The best manager picks a dream team from the league. Or perhaps players vote in their best XI to mitigate bias.

Then the dream teams battle it out in a tournament.

Maybe base qualification on some metric identifying league strength eg number of teams qualifying for European competitions

Maybe have a more exhibition feel to it than super competitiveness

The minutiae can be figured out later

It's a fun idea though

Feel free to post your league's dream team

This is mine from the Premiership

Which nation would you give the title of β€˜Honorary Balkan country”?

Hi,

You know how some countries have a pretty similar vibe to us, but can’t really be classified as Slavic/Balkan/Eastern European in any meaningful metric? Who are those countries to you?

Speaking from my point of view:

Armenians – We’ve got a long history together and plenty of cultural similarities. A respectable Armenian diaspora has been present in Bulgaria since as far back as Byzantine times.

Baltic countries – Maybe it’s Soviet influence, maybe it’s Maybelline. Idk, but I see similarities to us here in the Balkans.

Brazil – Think about it.

Tell me what you think.

Six Nations title permutations/maths for each team?

So we're going into a final round with one team still with one game to play, and two teams with two games still left to play, and a lot of maths left on the table.

By my count, it's between Ireland, France, England and *technically* Scotland. But given my head is doing like that gif of all the numbers and equations flying around, I'm trying to work out what the scenarios are for each team to win the title.

Anyone want to help? We can make it a seperate thread and sticky it should we want to for the final weekend/return to it once the rescheduled Italy games are played.

Industry, government pushed to abolish Aboriginal title at issue in Wet’suwet’en stand-off, docs reveal | B.C. government and corporate lobbyists representing major resource industries sought the β€œsurrender” of First Nations land rights

This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 92%. (I'm a bot)

> The records, from B.C.'s Ministry of Aboriginal Affairs, provide a glimpse for the first time of a corporate lobbying effort urging government to push First Nations to surrender their newly recognized title rights through modern treaties to achieve "Certainty" for commercial interests.

> For 150 years prior to the ruling, all levels of government insisted Aboriginal title had been extinguished and thus had no impact on decision-making.

> In a committee formed by the B.C. NDP government of Glen Clark - to allow oil and gas, forestry, cattle, real estate and mining associations to offer advice about treaty negotiations - various lobbyists pushed the government to limit the consequences of the Supreme Court decision, according to the FOI documents

Let’s conclude BHM with the story of the 1951 San Francisco Dons, a cash-strapped team which declined a tentative invitation to the Orange Bowl because they wouldn’t leave their two black players home. 9-0 and in the talks for a national title, they disbanded due to lack of funding just days later.

(I had to abbreviate Black History Month in the title due to character constraints)

In 1951, the San Francisco DonsSan Francisco went 9-0 and received a tentative invitation to the Orange Bowl, the game that eventually produced an unclaimed National Championship (which was awarded by two writers' associations) for the Bobby Dodd-led Yellow Jackets of Georgia Tech. That invitation, though, was conditioned on the requirement that the team leave their two star African American players home. Faced with the choice of accepting the invitation & likely securing funding for the team’s future or leaving two of their teammates behind, they refused. They were not selected to a bowl game and the team was forced

Clarity: Only you know that the game was decided by a coin flip, fans and players of both teams will think it was decided on the field. You don't know the result of the coin flip until post game (betting reasons.)

Further: the winner of this game will win in the most iconic way possible (think VY to the corner) the loser will lose this game in the most incredible way possible (think Michigan punter)

Which team would be the most satisfying for your favorite school to beat in a national title game? And which would be the most disheartening to lose to in a national title game?

For Gonzaga, the most satisfying would be Duke because, well, it’s Duke. But also because beating one of the bluest of blue bloods for a title would probably end the β€œGonzaga always chokes/is overrated talk”

As for most disheartening, it would have to be Saint Mary’s. 20+ years of agonizing tournament loses and coming so close to winning it only to get beat by our (depends who you are) biggest rival would be the worst. Gaels fans would never let us live it down and seeing them beat us to the first title would absolutely suck.

Would Florida have won the 1996 national title had Arizona State won the Rose Bowl?

I recently engaged in a debate on /r/cfb saying that the 1996 title may have been disputed had Arizona State won the Rose Bowl. In reality, #3 Florida convincingly defeated #1 Florida State in the Sugar Bowl, combined with their regular season record beating four teams that finished ranked, made them the champions in the Coaches Poll. With #2 Arizona State losing a close game to #4 Ohio State in the Rose Bowl, the path was cleared to make Florida the in-disputed champion.

Now, in a hypothetical situation where everything is unchanged except Arizona State winning, the Sun Devils would have finished the season unbeaten with three wins over teams that finished ranked. While they definitely played a weaker schedule than Florida, they also went undefeated, so there's obviously a reasonable likelihood the AP would have honored them over Florida as national champions. The coaches poll m
