For those familiar, which of these is superior? I've seen neither, but was impressed with Powell and Pressburger's other film The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp and was wondering which I should pick up next. I have a running list of what to pick up for the next flash sale and Id like to keep it under $200. ONE MUST GOOOO
This seems awfully fitting for the Governor of Outpost Santa Barbara...
Darn, now I want to see fanart of Gov. Daffodil leaning over a reflective pond lol
Dolores is clearly a narcissist that only cares about herself and what other people can do for her. You can see that with her interactions with Teddy and Halebot.
Dolores claims to love Teddy but in season 2 when Teddy doesn't want to participate in the revolution and kill people, Dolores just changes his settings. She changes who he is in order for him to fall in line and do what she says. She has no sympathy for what he truly wants. If she did care about Teddy then she would have let him go off, but she ignores his cries for help an the way until he kills himself.
With Halebot, Hale (whoever is really in there) is given no choice at all. Dolores just put the host into the body without any consent and ordered her to play this role without any care for objection because having Hale as a spy helps her. She ignores Hales phone calls and cries for help, erases her cuts, and tells Hale to get back in line. She clearly does not care for whoever the host is inside Hales and outs very man... keep reading on reddit ➡
Did anyone notice that during the dream/death sequence in the second to last episode that the narcissus painting is no longer the horse swimming but rather, drowning?
edit: (top center) https://i.imgur.com/9L2UJw7.png
I'm currently in my final year of college putting together a short project on Metamorphosis of Narcissus by Dali and I have wrote some interpretations of the paintings for my project.
I was wondering if anyone would spare a moment to assist in the script writing process? I have most of the writing done but just to see if they read well or if I am missing crucial information.
This project is aimed at Irish students (who speak English) between the ages of 16 & 18 learning about this particular painting and about the artist.
Any assistance would be amazing, thank you!

Welcome to the Narcissus Betting Pool, here's our first week of betting:
Hello Old Bettors and 10 New Bettors! This week bettors were average 42% correct. Better than last week, but still failing miserably, blame the 8 people who forgot to bet again. Also start telling your friends, maybe with more of you you'll accumulate a better average.
Worst Bettor: Bodgina, who went 1/9 11.1%, and only got the freebie of 7 exact passes correct (Janssen? Is that you?)
Best Bettors: 4 way tie, Kaity, The Toronto Duck, A man has no name. and Steph all with 6/9 66.7% correct.
Biggest gimme: exactly 7 pick ups in a row for 4 teams, answer was it was a coincidence (72% correct) THOUGH I STILL THINK NOT! 1 team still had a 7x pick-up and 6 teams had a 6x pick-up, aka one short, aka someone who bet against it DEFINITELY broke the streak. I'm watching you all.....
Biggest upset: Who will pick up the most? Nat arrived ready to dominate the field and won pickups with only 4% of people (Geoff) voting for her.
Hello Bettors! This week you all were 54.7% correct, best yet! =)
Best Bettor: Slater and Chelsea J both got a whopping 8/9 this week with the only incorrect pick being Holympus has Faulken
Biggest gimme: Head to Head Steph Schwartz (68.8% correct).
Biggest upset: We had two ties this week, so Flick of the Valkierans wins their bet (30% correct) and Ikramus and Fran win theirs (31.3%)
Graham 5/8 - 62.5%
Gwyn 6/9, 5/9 - 61.1% -- Lili V 5/9, 6/9 - 61.1%
Denton 5/8, 4/9, 6/9, 5/9 - 57.1%
Kaity 6/9, 4/9 - 55.6% -- slater 2/9, 8/9 - 55.6%... keep reading on reddit ➡
Welcome Degenerates to the third week of betting. We improved a bit last week, but performance is still a little poor. Grab your friends, grab your heckles and bet away!
Hope you’re ready for another round of bets! Last week you all had a pretty poor performance, so let me help you out a bit:
Only two of these many stats will help you, the others are there to confuse and/or distract you.
Interesting stats of the week (courtesy of barb):
Overall men picked up the disc 77.3% of the time and threw away 12% of the time, but of false confidence there eh?
7/10 teams had a streak of guys picking up exactly 7x in a row
The most unbalanced game was Persius and Wandromeda with guys picking up 31 times in a row, followed by 2 female pick ups and then guys 12 in a row. For a total of 43:2 pickups
The most balanced game was Schwords and Tridents with the biggest streak (m or f) being 3 in a row for a total of 28:21 m:f
Best rate of completion off first pass is lokrees hammer with only 2 TAs, worst is Faulk/Ho with 10TAs off first pass
Best variety is King Barthur, with only 2 players never picking up the disc
Least variety is tied between Faulk/Ho, Ron/J... keep reading on reddit ➡
Hello Old Bettors and again 10 New Bettors! We had 37 bettors! This week bettors were average 40% correct. Our newcomers really brought up the average with 7 of them getting over 55% right.
Worst Bettor: A bunch of people got 2/9 - I won't name names, there were a lot.
Best Bettor: Newcomer No Pain No Gain comes out blazing with a whopping 7/9 bets correct. Alliteration seems to confuse them though, only wrong answers were for Turnover Trio and Deadly Duo.
Biggest gimme: Lokree's Hammer (62% correct). This week the bets seemed to be pretty even spread, so not a really big gimme like in other weeks.
Biggest upset: Deadly Duo was Christian and Kaity (19.4% correct). With Geoff being sick a lot of people's bets were riding on only Kyra vs the other duos. Tori and CrouShing Tiger were also upsets (22 and 21% respectively)
Lots of great comments and bet requests this week! Keep em coming, I reply to comments in the post on Tuesday night when I give the current bets so far recap. And... keep reading on reddit ➡
