This also relieves the pain.
Many people know this already, but in case you don’t, I’ll shortly explain it:
When a mosquito bites you, it injects some of its saliva under your skin.
The saliva contains certain proteins that trigger your immune system, which will try to fight the proteins.
To do that, it releases histamine. Histamine is what causes the typical itching, swelling and inflammation.
So if you scratch the area around the bite, it will be even more inflamed and will therefore itch more. So you will scratch even more and just like that the cycle continues.
Also, the scratching may break your skin, which can cause an infection that will itch. It will take time to heal and may leave a scar.
So in conclusion, don’t scratch mosquito bites.
Because probably no one wants itchy skin or an infection.
As someone who comes from South Asia, I am not a stranger to mosquitos. But why are they so big in Canada? Are those even mosquitoes?
De donde salieron tantos mosquitos lpm, deberíamos empezar a importar arañas, y cuando las arañas nos sobrepasen traemos víboras y al tiempo implementar el día del garrote,
Wondering how bad are the mosquitos in Suburban Atlanta. Like, can you enjoy chilling in your backyard at sunset in summers? I have lived in Minnesota where you basically can't sit in your backyard in summers. How long is the mosquito season? Also when they say it gets hot in Atlanta, how bad does it get? Is it comparable to, say NYC hot? Or is more like south FL, or Houston hot?

I'm just wondering if it's specifically because some people think Covid is made up that they are so vehemently against masks, or if it could be any disease.
