If so, I have a few questions:
What is your nationality?
Do you think you could impart any tips or advice?
What was the caliber of intellect among your fellow recipients?
Thank you very much!

Imperial General Headquarters, Tenkyō
Metaphorical alarms had been blaring across the Imperial Government for nearly 72 hours and as Prime Minister Nakano Kanna walked through the halls of the ever imposing Imperial General Headquarters she could see the shockwaves from last Monday's headlines still sending aides and officers reeling. The Headquarters which had come to be known internally as The Rock was always busy, yet the Prime Minister was certain that more feet had entered and exited the building in the past several days than had in the whole of 2051. And as she rounded the finished corner leading to the large executive office, she was hardly surprised to see that the Minister for Foreign Affairs had arrived before her.
"Minister Reid...Admiral Ijūin, thank you for meeting at such short notice, and Admiral, thank you once again for allowing the use of this office." Prime Minister Nakano walked in, waving for them to cease the needless bowing as she sat down, taking the Admirals seat for the time being.
"Of course, the Imperial Military serves at the command of His Imperial Majesty and the Prime Minister, this office is as much you're own." Rear Admiral Ijūin Goro spoke as he sat down across from the Prime Minister.
"I'm sure that you and Minister Reid have already discussed what has happened and I don't think it requires any additional discussion on the matter." Stated the Prime Minister as she placed some papers on the table.
"Yes Ma'am, both of us are as shocked as you. None could have expected this, not from them and not after what we gave them." Spoke Minister Reid as she took her own seat alongside the Admiral. "I have been in discussion with our GIGAS partners, needless to say I can imagine they are rather thrilled by this."
"Of course they are, they've been hoping for a ripple since Deliverance." Spoke th... keep reading on reddit ➡

#WONDER: O' Child of Mine! Rise with the Foundations of Heaven!
The Japan Times | Issued May 1st, 2041 - 12:00 | Tokyo, Japan
TOKYO - The WONDER Consortiums have in conjunction with the Japanese Government and with blessing from the Imperial Household, announced the newest "Wonder Project" which will see the the WONDER Consortium construct a new "Capital" city for the Empire of Japan. While Tokyo has been the "technical capital" since 1941, it has never been formalized as law at any point in history. Further existing movements to move government function have been active since as early as before 2007, and while never giving fruit it has nevertheless highlighted desires for a de facto and de jure capital city. As a result, Tokyo has will be legally declared the de facto Capital, while the new city to be named "Tenkyō" will become the de jure Capital City of the Empire. Tenkyō (天国京) which translates to "Heavenly/Imperial Capital" will become the bastion of all that is Japan, built from the ground up underneath the mountains of Shirane, Nantai, and Akagi.
While extremely close to Tokyo, the City of Tenkyō will be quite different even in function. While Tokyo remains the commercial, financial, and general hub of the Empire - we envision Tenkyō to take the place of government, luxury, nobility, and the military. At the same time, the City of Tenkyō will begin merging the outer Industrial Zones of Tokyo - creating a streamlined system for commerce and economic movement. Of course the city itself however begins with defense, with its heightened importance as the de jure Capital, the Empire of Japan has planned out the most significant City-level defense system in history. Titled "The RING" as a result of one of the key aspects of the Defensive System, it can be broken down into a series of 3 Primary Tiers as described below.
We already know, per Ikeda himself, that membership is calculated within Soka Gakkai by households (a plurality even if only ONE person is a SG member) and that SG counts EVERYONE who ever joined without ever adjusting for deaths or defections:
>Ikeda disclosing in an April 1980 interview with "Gendai" magazine that membership totals = total number recruited, without any adjustments for deaths/defections Source
So that "8.27 million households" is just as phony and hyperinflated as claiming "350,000 SGI-USA members" when the active membership is hovering around 36,500. But can we narrow the actual membership number down?
>1 The most detailed sources for Sōka Gakkai membership numbers are the group’s website and its published public relations materials. See Sōka Gakkai, “Gaiyō,” and its own Sōka gakkai seikatsu hōkoku 創価学会生活報告 issued by the Sōka Gakkai Public Relations Bureau at the organization’s headquarters in Shinanomachi, Tokyo. Assessing the Gakkai membership is otherwise difficult, as Sōka Gakkai does not report its membership to the national government, and its membership statistics do not appear in the Shūkyō nenkan, the annual report on religious affiliation released by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT). Scholars of Japanese religion have pointed to other ways to assess Sōka Gakkai’s membership.
Ah! Let's see what we find!
>Shimazono Susumu cites a survey of 32,000 people in Japan on religious affiliation taken by a research institute within Japan’s national broadcast company NHK in 1978 in which a total of 3.3% of respondents claimed that they were Sōka Gakkai members. This figure appears to have been (and to still be) in line with a realistic assessment of the number of Gakkai adherents in Japan (see Shimazono 2003, 18–19). More recently, Michael Roemer has reassessed quantitative accounts of religious membership in Japan to provide the most sophisticated view to date of individual religious belief in contemporary Japan. He finds that 4.32% of respondents to surveys conducted from 2000 claim to believe in ‘Buddhism,’ 3.19% are followers of a ‘new religion,’ and 1.87% self-identify as Sōka Gakkai adherents (see Roem... keep reading on reddit ➡
"Please" There was no room in the voice that responded to the polite and elegant knock. "Excuse me." What emerged from the open door was Darjeeling in the uniform of St. Gloriana Girls' Academy with a small paper bag in her hand. He reverently bows. "I don't want to come without an appointment. What are the requirements? I'm busy." "That's right," Darjeeling replied leisurely, looking at the pile of documents piled up on both sides of Renta Tsuji's desk. "I visited you today to comfort you." "Comfort?" Tsuji raises his face and makes a suspicious expression. "Isn't it the mistake of" I came to salt the wound "?" Tsuji had a sarcastic expression on his face. "The word comfort may not be appropriate. I wonder if it's more correct to come to defend." Darjeeling sits on a customized sofa without the permission of the room owner and is graceful. I crossed my legs with a gesture. "Defend? ... Are you me?" "Yes" "I can only think of a tank road if you can defend me, but I don't think you have any hope of being defended by someone who has devised a short-term transfer plan," Tsuji raises one end of his mouth. "I have no intention of defending your plan, but there are some points that can be evaluated." "... what do you mean?" "Oarai Girls'Academy is closed and dismantled, and the students of the tank road team of Oarai Girls' Academy are distributed to each school, and the know-how is transmitted to each school to improve the level of the entire tank road, a truly bureaucratic hands-on experience. It's a dreamy method that isn't based on the above, but I appreciate the fact that I tried to reform the Japanese tank road without involving the Nishizumi style and Shimada style. Masuno " "... Why?" Tsuji's expression changes a little. It was a promising look, as if I had finally found a fountain in the desert. "Nishizumi-ryu / Shimada-ryu. The existence of this second school is one of the causes of the rigidity of the Tank Road Federation and the Japanese Tank Road. The school has a flag. If it is bad, it even scrambles for the flag. Therefore, no matter how much reform is aimed at, the Nishizumi school can only do the Nishizumi school, and the Shimada school can only do one-sided reform centered on the Shimada school. If you use Orai Girls' Academy, you can make other reforms. Moreover, the management of the school ship is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. No matter how much the Nishizu... keep reading on reddit ➡

In summary, phytoncides from trees can increase NK activity, the percentage of NK cells, and the expression of intracellular perforin,GrAlB, and GRN in male subjects. Phytoncides in forest air may partially contribute to the increased NK activity in subjects visiting a forest (1-3).

Please read the articles for more information. > > ENGLISH > ▼ Further Announcements Regarding the New Coronavirus > ◇ In addition to the case in Tohoku that we mentioned in our previous newsletter, there have been repeated instances where coronavirus has been suspected of being contracted at bars and restaurants. As a result, several local governments are requesting that residents refrain from going to places such as bars, restaurants, karaoke, and live music houses in the evenings and on weekends. Please do your best in preventing the spread of the virus by adhering to these requests. > > ◇ Regarding ALTs’ work situations, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) sent a notice to local governments on 25 March 2020. This notice went as far to encourage that local governments implement more flexible working policies in accordance with conditions in their region and schools by 1) allowing ALTs, as well as other school staff, to work from home or come in to work on a flex time system and/or 2) in the event that an ALT is not required to be present at their school, said ALT may work from home or receive special leave permission exempting them from going in to work. > > They advised that ALTs who feel unwell or who are showing cold-like symptoms to not go in to their workplaces and instead inform their workplaces of said symptoms from their homes. Due to some ALTs contracting the virus in Japan, certain regions’ schools have further delayed reopening for the new school year. As such, if everyone does what they can to maintain their own health and safety, this will help protect the health, safety, and learning opportunities for students as well.

This is a radio show appearance of Miku and Saiki one year ago, on January 30, 2019. There seems no English translation so far, but it’s too funny to be hidden behind the language barrier.
Here is my translation.

Kosaka, Miku: Popo, popo, popo.
Kae: Are they already here? Are they here for us?
Kosaka: It smells nice.
Kae: Yes, the studio is suddenly filled with a nice scent.
Kosaka: Of a ramen shop. The good smell of a ramen shop.
Kae: No, not at all.
Miku, Saiki: (laughs)
Kae: This is not a good smell of that kind.
Kosaka: A good smell of ladies. Nack5 Nutty Radio Show: The Soul, Wednesday, hosted by Daimaou Kosaka, and…

Kosaka: Now, we introduce you our special guests of today. These two ladies from the rock band Band-Maid.
Miku: Welcome back home, masters and princesses. Kuruppo! I’m Miku Kobato, the guitarist-vocalist of Band-Maid, and…
Saiki: I’m Saiki, the vocalist.
Kosaka: So, nice to meet you.
Miku: Nice to meet you, po.
Kae: Nice to meet you.
Kosaka: Well, Po-chan, you came here last time.
Kae: That’s cute.

I am a student applying MEXT scholarship to study Master degree in Japan. I am applying for 2020 October intake. I recently received an email from the professor that says the following.
"I am glad to tell you that you were chosen as a candidate for Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology-Japan (MEXT) scholarship in xxxxxxxxx."
Does it mean I have received the scholarship for sure? I heard that there is a university level selection and a national level selection, but I am not sure.
I am asking this because I have a job offer also in Japan that I will have to sign in a few days. If I am sure about receiving this scholarship, I am not going to sign the contract. I am afraid that I might lose both, if I did not receive the scholarship somehow.
Oarai Girls' Academy wins the tank road tournament and the school ship can survive. There will be no problem as we are continuously trying to revitalize by holding exhibitions on tank roads. that's what I thought.
Boss "We have decided to close the Oarai Girls' Academy. The closed school will not be withdrawn just because we won the tank road in a fluke. We will close the school next year as originally planned."
Damn, why? What happened to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's promotion of sports? It may have a bad effect on attracting the world tank road competition.
What to do, what to do, what can not be done, the school ship will disappear as it is. It may be possible to do something if there is something, or if public opinion is on the side. However, the closed school will be forgotten by the world six months later. Then, now that Oarai Jogakuen is booming, take action.
Official: "Then, why not close the school two semesters earlier? The maintenance cost of the school ship for half a year will be raised, and you will not need a budget for events such as graduation ceremonies. Moving will be smoother in the summer. I think we will move on. "
Boss: "That's right. The school has been closed. It's better to spend less. Then proceed with the procedure. "
Official "I'm clever."
Alright. The rest is a leak to the media about the decision to close the school and a notification to Oarai Girls' Academy. … After all, when I told them that the school was closed, everyone was frustrated. However, I felt the intention not to admit the closing of the school and the atmosphere of doing something.
After that, the closed school was widely reported in the media, and criticism of the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology increased.
The Oarai student president visited here once, but he was convinced of the decision to close the school.
However, I could feel that I was planning something.
A few days later, I brought in the president of the Tank Road Federation and the Iemoto Nishizumi. It is a request to withdraw the closed school in Oarai.
However, it is difficult to withdraw at the moment when there is no material for withdrawal. So, at my own discretion, I proposed to withdraw the closed school if I won the university selection (winning the working team). The chairman of Oarai came on board.
The rest is persuasion to the top.

Title: The Chorus Festival!
Nyan nya〜n❤ It's Maayamon!!
【I've never seen or hear this nickname 'Maayamon'. I guess it's 'Maaya + Monster'... There're some mascot characters whose names end with the suffix '-mon' and they're usually rather cute guys】
In my real school, we'll soon have The Chorus Festival☆
I and classmates are now smiling our best in order to get the first prize in the contest!!
【A drawing of a girl says: "Mezase〜! The first prize〜♥"】
We picked 'Kaijuu no Ballard'【'A ballard of a monster'】as the free program of our class!
Fukei-sans! Do you know this song?
Have you ever sung it???
If so, it's an amazing coincidence♡♡♡
Actually, we had planned to sing 'Kaze wa Ima', but another class also picked the song as the free program, and we lost the Amidakuji-lot-drawing and had to change the song↓
But, we soon realized 'Kaijuu no Ballad' was really good song. Especially, the line 'Even a monster has a soul♪' was very impressive and I came to love the song very much.
It's really wonderful to play a chorus, isn't it?
At the theater play 'Shuoh Gakuen Chorus Club', we sang two songs in chorus🍒
'Tomodachi ni Natta Hi'【The day we made friends】
It was very moving.
The lyrics of the song are like...
Having a fight with a friend, and feeling lonely...
Making up with her and we became true friends! I totally understand!!
And the song 'COSMOS'!!
Just remembering the song makes me cry.
I think the lyrics 'Ten billion years of history, coursing through your body' are describing Sakura Gakuin exactly!
As in Nanako-chan's remark, I just hope Sakura Gakuin will live for ten billion years☆
【Kurosaki Nanako, the stand-in for Megu at the theater play said "Fukei-sans, you are very right!! Please support Sakura Gakuin for about one thousand years♥". Aiko's diary about the remark】
Fukei-sans, which song did you sing in chorus in your school days? Please tell me wonderful chorus songs!!
Well, I must smile my best in lessons for the chorus festival☆
【Kaijuu no Ballad (1972. Words: Okada Tomiko, Music: Shouji Osamu) is a popular chorus song for school students. Song in Japanese. A summary of the lyrics -- There lived a big monster in a desert peacefully. But he heard a bell of a cara... keep reading on reddit ➡
These members come from workplaces such as Interac, Altia Central, and Joy Talk. We receive many consultations from these workplaces over such issues as false working hours, lack of enrollment in shakai hoken, restricted use of paid holidays, etc. Workers in these companies are often atomized and may never see any of their coworkers, especially in more rural areas, making them more difficult to organize and many consultations end only in consultations. In the union’s continued negotiations with the government over ALT issues, we have done a lot of research that could be helpful to those being dispatched into boards of education, so it is very important for the union to find new and imaginative ways to reach out to these workers. For example, the union has now confirmed with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT) that dispatch under “itaku – subcontracting” arrangements are virtually unallowed in boards of education. This could open the door for us to demanding equal pay with direct hires in the same boards of education (many boards do have a combination of direct and subcontracted ALTs) and even direct hire with the board. Shakai hoken enrollment also continues to remain weak amongst ALTs dispatched to boards of education. In our 2018 survey of boards of education (with about 200 boards responding across Japan) we found that in haken-dispatch situations only 11 of the 48 boards could confirm shakai hoken enrollment, and of the itaku-subcontracting arrangements only three of twenty-six boards confirmed enrollment.
Boards of Education
Ashikaga Board of Education
The union has been talking to ALTs at this board of education for some time. We were finally put in a situation where we needed to react when one of our black members had a racial slur directed towards them by a student. While the issue was not to have the student further punished, but to make sure the school board and the school understood the severity of the situation. The member felt that the school under reacted to the situation and had no idea what was necessary in this situation. The member also contacted JoyTalk which is a dispatch company which “takes care” of the directly hired teachers, but the manager also tried to sweep the issue away by taking a “kids do that sometimes” attitude. We are now in the middle of negotiations with the board and our big emphasis on getting them to deal with the issue in their summer human rights tr... keep reading on reddit ➡

> More medical schools were found by a survey to have disadvantaged female applicants in their entrance exams following the discovery that a Tokyo medical university had manipulated test scores to curb female enrollment, the education minister says.
> Education minister Masahiko Shibayama told a press conference Friday that there is a "Strong suspicion" of an undue bias against female applicants and men who failed the exams in the past.
> Excluding Tokyo Medical University, none of the 81 schools covered by the ministry's survey have admitted to rigging exam scores to discriminate against applicants by gender or age.
> The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology conducted on-site probes at around 30 universities which had significant disparities in pass rates between female and male applicants in the last six years, and found evidence suggesting that examinees were treated unfairly without prior notice based on their gender or the record of past failures.
> Last month, the ministry's preliminary survey results showed men passed entrance exams more than women at 78 percent of medical schools polled after the scandal.
> The medical school also disliked accepting male applicants who had failed a number of times because they also tend to fail the national exam for medical practitioners, which would bring down the university's ratio of successful applicants and hurt its reputation, according to the sources.

The Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology offer scholarships for international students. One needs to give an exam and if selected the Japanese government will fund their education along with providing the student with a monthly stipend. More information can be found here (http://www2.jasso.go.jp/study_j/scholarships_sfisij_e.html). I am interested as I have been to Japan once and have loved the culture, the people and the general atmosphere. This dream of mine was fired by the Japanese VLogging community which is really great(Rachael, Jun, Victor.etc). I am really serious about this and think it is a great opportunity for so many other students. One of the exams one needs to give is Japanese. Although the exam of japanese is supposed to be primitive I do not know any Japanese. I believe that by working hard I can pass with flying colors. However, I would really appreciate if someone could have a look at the previous years japanese paper and probably judge the level and tell me.
