State-run military brothels existed in metropolitan France until the 1970s and in colonial territory until 1995. How aware was the general public of these institutions from the 1970s to 1995? What was the opinion/attitude toward state support of prostitution, as well as prostitution in general?
Was there any concern about the state facilitating a potentially exploitative industry? It seems quite noticeable to me that the practice ended in colonial territory (French Guiana is technically a rΓ©gion of France but it's a relic of the empire) nearly 20 years after ending in the metropole. Why'd that happen?

If I'm a common villager in southwestern France, far from the action in Paris and other metropolitan areas, during the Reign of Terror, how do all of the revolutionary goings on affect my day to day life?
With the popular image of the Reign of Terror being guillotines beheading people by the dozens in Paris, I was curious what effect the movement would have on people who are further away from the metro centers of revolutionary France
Would I have to be careful of who I was associating with? Would it be harder for me to get goods? Or is my life relatively unbothered by this, with the dust having settled somewhat after the passage of the new constituion?

Why were Corsicans so overrepresented in the French Colonial administration? I saw a stat that showed despite making up just 1% of metropolitan France's population, Corsicans made up 20% of the colonial administration in 1920.

I donβt know if Iβm remembering this correctly, but years ago was there a βMetropolitanβ culture somewhere in France in one of these games?
For some reason I remembered this today and I donβt know why, honestly it might be some sort of fever dream lol. But for some reason I remember Northern France having a Metropolitan culture or something similar in a grand strategy game.
Itβs been bothering me why I seem to remember this, does anyone know what Iβm talking about? Iβm pretty sure it was EU4 but I really donβt know.
