Edit: I’m not sure many of you are aware, but y’all are on a sub called Today I Fucked Up, yet feel like you’re actually contributing to social injustice by going berserk on me in the comments. It’s quite funny. Go do something productive and donate to BLM organizations or post bail for a protester. Don’t be a keyboard warrior
This happened earlier this evening. So it’s my day off and I decided to take the day to pamper myself and this routine includes doing a charcoal face mask. This mask is, obviously, black. Masks are so normal that I have never once considered that it may look wrong on anyone’s face, hence why I’m a dumbass and didn’t think twice about leaving the house with it on.
I also never care much about what I look like. So when it was near time for my boyfriend to come home, right after applying my mask, I went to make dinner but felt really lazy and decided I was going to go through a drive thru instead. I honestly forgot for a split second I even had a mask on my f... keep reading on reddit ➡
Discrimination is not okay, and using your religion as a way to defend your discrimination and claiming the 1st amendment when your discrimination isn't accepted by the public because, you know, you're discriminating, is such a despicable way to shed the blame from yourself. You are hating others for no reason, and if youre religion says thats okay, then your religion is barbaric and anachronistic, and really has no place in modern times.
In regards to not wearing masks, that is not discrimination whatsoever, its to prevent the spread of disease. If you interpret that as discrimination then one can only assume you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, and obviously don't know what discrimination is.
Like, it makes me feel safe, but not from the virus, just the feeling.
It also conceals my identity which feels good lol
Thanks for the answers in advance!
I wear a mask when I go get groceries. I understand that wearing a mask is not a 100% guarantee that you will not get infected. I also am not “afraid”, or “living in fear” I just really don’t want to be bedridden (or worse) for two weeks plus either. I have a fire extinguisher in my house that might not do a damned thing to actually put out a house fire too. I am not “living in fear” of fire either. But, isn’t even a small chance of avoiding something disastrous at a very small cost worth it?
YSK if you're using a mask with glasses, applying a few drops of dish soap to the inside of your lens and rubbing with a cloth, will keep you fog free for 7 hours ish.
Andrew Nyberg posted this on FB and I had to share:
This is not normal. During a riot and unrest, looting starts as a progressive motion of group think psychology where one person does something small then someone else escalates that action slightly until you reach a point where you see several people throwing rocks, breaking windows, lighting things on fire, etc.
This is the natural psychological pattern of a riot. Its the same for civil unrest like this as well as sporting event excitement and other places where large groups of people get unruly.
But this isnt normal. A single man, who clearly stands apart from the crowd, approached the AutoZone with intent. Carrying a single hammer he arrived and broke a window, knowing it would spark looting. Then the man tried to sneak away. But not before people noticed that it was out of character for a riot... keep reading on reddit ➡
