I donβt like how Marge and Jackie constantly put down Teresaβs βlack of intelligence.β Telling her that she doesnβt know what an analogy is mean. I get that Teresa is not the brightest but they are her friends and I wouldnβt like friends like that.
Jackie, who was so against bullying, is bullying Teresa and her intelligence on social media and on WWHL. She is trying too hard, and thereβs something about her that is not fun to watch. Jackie is boring.
Stephanie Courtney does more with a tiny part than any other bit player in Mad Men.
Her physical acting and line delivery are superb.
See--the Lady Chatterley scene--offering her opinion with deference but confidence. Great lines delivered perfectly--just chat, but she infuses real personality into the word.
See--the Twist scene. She has no lines, but you can see who she is by her dancing, IN THE BACKGROUND. Completely unlike the other dancers, very peppy and bouncy, but just enough, not forced or over the top.
In the office party scenes--her visible disgust with the shenanigans, but still hoping for something good to happen--maybe it does, because the aftermath scene has her tip-toeing across the background trying to be invisible, and her movements are great.
And she conveys early 60s perfectly (I was there), without the benefit of any lines that directly address the era. The main players all have some lines or other reference to the era, but she doesn't (well--Lady Chatterley), and to my mind she "gets it" more than anyone else.
