Hi, I've been asked to look at possibilities for virtual social/charity evenings, and I was looking at Marbles on Stream. It is exactly what I'm looking for:
- a game that plays itself, i.e. each competitor is controlled by AI/physics
- can have multiple competitors, each one named to a specific person
- has absolutely no skill involved bar naming your piece
- doesn't require twitch to login and play (Marbles on Stream simulation mode)
- can have single events or a tournament structure
- different courses
That sort of thing. I was wondering what else was out there that fits this mould? I did look at Stream Racer, which looks great, but it requires the players to log into twitch and join from there, rather than just setting up a race with, let's say 20 cars.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
I saw a track that has a dartboard at last part of track and check each marbles score to find winner. Does anyone knows this track's name?
It's time for another marbles stream on Twitch TOMORROW (Saturday) at 22:00 CEST (that's 10PM CEST for you america-people. Sorry Oceania)
Like last time we're doing 10 races, and Piputi has promised a prize pool of 4 million Ananos.
WTF is a marbles stream you ask?
It's really simple. Make sure you have a wallet that can hold Stellar Ananos. Join the stream tomorrow at 22:00. Here comes the tricky part: Keep an eye on the chat.
When people start spamming "!play" like a bunch of monkeys on amphetamines, do the exact same thing. Type "!play" in the chat.
A marble with your name will show up on the screen. This is your cue to channel your inner sports-fanatic and start shouting at the screen, cheering your marble on, so it finishes the course first.
The three first marbles to finish each race will get a nice ananos-injection into their wallets.
And that's pretty much all there is to it.
So check out This Link at 22:00 CEST tomorrow!
Title says it all. Sam would obviously do the play-by-play, but he could have guest commentators on as well. How do I donate to this?
The recent update to Marbles changed the engine and the support devs in the Discord basically said that certain hardwares are no longer supported and Marbles can no longer run on those machines without crashing. Both of my computers are currently affected by this.
The thing I loved about Marbles is how it allowed all the viewers to be equal participants with the streamer. I had just started streaming Marbles myself, hosting only two Marbles shows before the mandatory game-killing update.
Until the situation is resolved and I am once again able to run Marbles on at least one of my two computers, I would like to find another game that includes the ability for viewers to participate. Preferably one where they can actually be in the games.
I am aware of the Jackbox series and actually like it after having played on other streams, but it is expensive and I can only afford free games right now. Also I would prefer for my Marbles replacement to be something non-violent. In general I'm not a fan of mindless violence.
TLDR: Any suggestions for free non-violent games with integrated stream viewer participation that I can host until Marbles is fixed?
We having huge chaos!
Come hang out and partake in the fun!
