Like most college students I've been at home since quarantine started back in March. The other week my debit card was hacked. Today I got an email saying I had a package to pick up at my student mailbox. This came as a surprise because I haven't bought anything online in over a month and everything was charged, shipped, and delivered as normal.
I called the number in charge of the student mailboxes and told them my situation. I asked if they could check it out and they told me that it was a surprisingly small and soft package, they sounded shocked at how small and soft it was. The return address was from a woman with no last name, and the address was from a mainly industrial, high crime neighborhood in New York City. After a little snooping, the address is a fireproof warehouse registered to two separate international seafreight companies. I figured it might have something to do with me being hacked, but the hacker was using my debit card to buy Amazon packages to different addresses,... keep reading on reddit ➡
The local HOA is basically the epitome of useless. They allowed the landscapers to leave a pile of branches 15 ft high, that blocked an entire lane of traffic through our neighborhood, but have the gall to leave me flyers about my garbage cans.
To top it off, they have the annoying tendency of leaving flyers in my mailbox (which is not only obnoxious, but also federally illegal). So I politely thanked them for taking such amazing care of the neighborhood, and informed them that it was illegal to put things in peoples mailboxes (especially without proper postage).
This I where it gets petty...
They chose to respond in a very snarky and sarcastic manner, at which point I did the same, and then informed the local postmaster about the situation. Fortunately for the postmaster, the HOA board conveniently left their names and phone numbers on the flyers, so it shouldn’t be much work tracking them down.

You know- when you slowly sneak your hand into your mailbox for the fifth time that day, because for some damn reason the mail just so happens to be hours late on the day you know you have a pack coming. If anyone has a better name for this, or for the situation in which you notice someone doing this, only because you also just so happen to be doing this, I'd love to hear them.
Last year I had emergency surgery to remove part of my colon (1.5 feet) due to a blockage we discovered. They did a biopsy on it and it came back as Stage 2 Colon Cancer. I was 26 years old. I’ve been monitored and have colonoscopies regularly now. Last week we discovered that some of the samples they took are indeed Cancer. I have a mass of cancer growing inside my colon again. This means we are looking at more surgery. Not sure if they will just take part of my colon out or if they will want to take it all. Any love you could send to my mailbox would be appreciated.
Note:This is one of the stories my Grandpa has told me about when he was younger. This also happend in the 50's.
My grandpa used to run a paper route and every week he would knock on his customer's door and collect the price for the paper that week. He had this one customer who rarely answered their door. They still got their newspapers but it always annoyed him. Eventually after a few months of this going on he finally got fed up, went home, grabbed a cherry bomb,(edit:they were legal at the time) placed it in their mail box, lit it, then walked away. he got to the end of the street and heard it go off. The mail box was destroyed. The next day it was all in the paper and my grandpa just smiled. They always paid him from then on. He never got caught because of the lack of witnesses.
(I have a few more stories if anyone wants them)
This community has helped me through some rough stuff in the past couple years, and my gratitude knows no bounds. Earlier this year, as the quarantine thing came on, my roommate had a birthday and was not dealing with it well, I posted a request on this sub, and she was so surprised and over-joyed to find random, anonymous birthday wishes everyday in the mailbox! We must have gotten, like, 30 random cards in the span of two weeks! Truly magical!
Anyway, my time to reciprocate!
I have acquired almost 50 cards and stamps and NEED to return the energy.
What I have to offer:
- Random Colorado-themed cards
- SouthWestern cards, like Arizona, New Mexico and so on
- A BUNCH of Italy and Italian art-related cards
- Quite a bit of promo cards for tattoo parlors and artists, real cool artwork
- Other randomness, including a few letterpress cards that I almost wanna keep for myself
PM me your address, and I'll get something to you in a fairly timely manner. If you have... keep reading on reddit ➡
It's small and it has a mailbox right next to the auction house, and you can mount up inside to make it easier to go between the auctioneer and the bank, the only downside is having to go back to org to do any direct trades, but my bank alt is a mage which mostly fixes that issue
I was making a list of all the glitches and bugs in this game when I heard about this glitch from another user.
Fainted Pokémon are the ones you recruit by giving them Apples and this is one of the most reliable ways to recruit other Starters and Eevee in the Post Game.
They were playing on an E -Shop downloaded version of RTDX in case that might be a factor in why this glitch occurs
This glitch hasn't happened to me yet and may have only happened to this user specifically, but I feel it's important to spread awareness of this glitch in case other people may be affected by it.
This service is great and very few people know about it. It really helps when you're expecting that important letter or don't want to make a trip to a distant community mailbox unless it's necessary.
I am so alone...
Also, it doesn't help that you turn on your porch light after we've been driving up and down the street trying to locate your house. Thank you.
Baby girl got herself a little brother in November so we've been social distancing for a hot minute now. One of our favorite things to do has been to load up on cards and stickers at the dollar store and try to spread some sloppy toddler love. We've sent dozens of cards out to family over the months and she hasn't gotten anything back. I want to do something special for her birthday and was hoping you all could help!
She would go crazy for anything with a picture on it!
We are also open to exchange botanical or Eric Carle artwork postcards.
My direct neighbor is so kind and always giving us veggies from his garden and our other neighbor is sweet as pie and has an adorable Labrador. Why do people do this? The package was prescription glasses and the mail piece a bill. It's literally a federal crime. I don't get it.
Edit: I live across from Holt Elementary. I am so sorry for any confusion y'all. I was going off of an old Eugene resident who misunderstood where i lived and told me it was Guy Lee. That is totally on me. Thank you all for your responses.
Was referred to this subreddit from r/HousingUK... Need some advice on my landlord insisting on receiving her mail in my mailbox (live in an apartment block). I am living in London. She asked me to basically leave her mail in it while taking mine out. At times the box has gotten stuffed with her stuff and been quite annoying.
We only have one box per apartment, and I have told her if she can stop sending mail to the box. However she said it was her legal right to send her mail to the box and she would come collect periodically on her own accord. She threatened legal action (not sure in what way) if I started RTS'ing her mail or what not.
Am I in a position to ask her to stop sending. Instead send mail to her own address, and if she refuses is there any other options I have to compel her to send her mail to herself. It seems quite shady, maybe some form of tax evasion or benefits fraud going on? Anyway, thanks in advance and stay safe out there.

Oh and I've been awake since 7am, and only left at 10:50 to go to FedEx as I arranged with them last night to have my package held for pickup today. No, I'm not mad, not even a little bit.
Getting a P.O. box is not an option for me.
Here's what I know so far. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I'm a robe guy.
I got over 9999 gems a few days ago and the gems i got afterwards are all being stored in the mailbox. I don't have the intention to spend them so soon, so my question is: Does the Mailbox has a limit on how much gems it can hold? I know that i have 1 month to spend the gems stored there, but the mailbox will store every single gem i'll get until then?
I own a mail shop - you've probably seen a hundred like mine. We have mailboxes we rent and we rented one, we'll just call him box 109. 109 wasn't a nightmare customer, but he also was never pleasant. He always accused us of changing the lock on his box because his key didn't work (inevitably he just wasn't using it correctly and I'm aware of how crazy this sounds).
So he closes his box. We are required under the United States Postal Service to hold mail for 6 months and then we can return to sender or send to the customer's last known address. We are not required to provide this mail free of charge in the interim. Usually if it's just a piece or two or something we know is important, we'll call the customer and hand it over with a smile.
Well, 109 tells my employee that he is expecting some mail from the DMV and he'd like her to tell him when it's here. Time goes by, we're now at month 6 and I am getting ready to return to sender. My employee sees the stack (mostly stuff from the IR... keep reading on reddit ➡
