Sentinel Magnetization "Drooping"

I recently magnetized the main gun on my Sentinels and the multilaser keeps drooping down (or does so when I put it down any harder than a feather). It's basically got a 1.5mm neodymium magnet in the gun and in the hole where it usually glues in. Did anyone else have this same issue/know how to fix this?

Hey, I'm looking to purchase my first Dreadnought as a magnetization project. I have a few questions, maybe you all could help?

So, basically i have my eyes on two different models of Dreadnought I'd like to paint and magentize as a personal project, the Venerable Dreadnought and the Ironclad Dreadnought. I'd like to know a few things about the models before confirming a purchase, though:

  • Are the weapons and arm pieces fully interchangeable between these two?

  • Likewise, would the Forge World Dreadnought arms work on these bodies?

  • in terms of difficulty, how hard would this be as a first attempt at magentization? from what I've seen the arm attachment points are smooth cylinders.

  • Last of all, what size magnet(s) would you recommend for this project?

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it very much!

Magnetization

Hey fellow farseers,

What magnets would you guys recommend for the purposes of magnetizing stuff like wave serpent or war walker weapons? I currently use some of my brothers magnets he bought but they have proven themselves too weak, as the slightest bump flings them off of my wave serpent turret. I just want to make sure my models are customizable and useable into the future.

Thanks so much

[Discussion] Dogs, babies, & magnetization

Although I don't have children myself, I often see pictures or videos that make me wish the average pet owner had (and used) better resources for understanding their dog and understanding how to make dog/kid interactions positive for both parties.

Many people know that it's important to have some degree of cautious when dealing with both a baby and a dog (I wish it was everyone...). The average pet owning parent will step in if their toddler's hitting the dog or pulling its hair, and I imagine most people on this subreddit wouldn't dream of leaving a baby and dog together and unattended.

But to take things a bit further - a few months ago I came across set of blog posts about how to raise a child who lives harmoniously with pets rather than one who harasses them constantly (since the latter is obviously a huge recipe for trouble).

These posts were the first time I'd heard of the concept of children being "magnetized" to dogs, but the concepts described in the blog make perfect sense.

Part 1 - Mama, don't let your babies get magnetized to dogs

Part 2- How to not magnetize your baby

Part 3 - Helping toddlers not be magnetized to dogs

Part 4 - Forsake magnetization, gain harmony

I'm curious if others have any thoughts on these blog posts, or experiences with using these techniques (encouraging boundaries/discouraging touch from the beginning, facilitating "parallel play") to foster household harmony and help your pet(s) feel safe?
