Today I had a non ebiker attempt to draft me. After about 1 Km I began to tire and slowed down and he went past. I slotted in behind him and this appeared to upset him. He was shaking his head then slammed his brakes on and made some dickhead comments.
It's happened a few times over the last few months. I get the feeling they think it's hilarious but I want to know exactly what the etiquette is in these sort of situations considering I'm not in a group ride with them. Am I supposed to be OK with this or are they taking the piss?
So, I'm working on remaking my first Dino Mask. For my normal foam heads, i typically line the inside with fleece and wear a balaclava, or dont line it at all. But for dinomasks, since the hood is just floppy fur, pulling the hood over a balaclava isnt the easiest. I'd like to make balaclavas that are built-in the masks but i cant find where to get the proper material. ive heard Lycra/Spandex were good, but i can only fine velvet spandex. can anyone link a website that sells the right material?
Hi,
All the fabric shops have very thin cottons now days. I want some high quality thick supima cotton jersey for nightwear. I'd also really like some thick cotton lycra.
Does anyone know where to buy these?
A lot of the guys I ride with wear baggies, and I think I might try some out. Asking XC folks because I think you guys will 'get it' more than the MTB sub.
Two issues:
Does anyone have any brands or sites that has better stuff than the majority?
I'm looking for something that is 'neat' enough to hang out in at the tavern patio after rides, but not collared or buttoned like ClubRide apparel. I like Zioc, but they don't really have a good selection of tops.
Met my first Lycra Ass yesterday. As I overtook him at about 20MPH he started screaming like an insane person that I am a f*&&ing P^%55y, f*&&ing cheat.
At the next set of traffic lights I requested that he gets off his bike to have a discussion about his opinions. He would not even look at me., just sat there shaking waiting for the lights to change.
Sad little man-boy.
Hi,
I've been a weekend warrior for a couple of years now, and decided to take the leap and commute to work on my bike.
What do you guys do with clothes? Do you just bring the clothes for the day or do you being an entire weeks worth? And what about shoes, do you have a pair at work?
I don't really like riding with a rucksack, but I guess it's just a question of getting used to it.
Any other tips would be really appreciated too.
Do people typically wear their cycling kit while they drive their bikes to whatever trail theyβre going to ride? Or do you change into your Lycra when you get there?
Okay, so I used to work for Hooters (not the Athens location) and the shirts the women wear are called Lycras. When you work there, you can buy these uniforms from other stores. Its kinda cool to have them from different locations.
Anyways, as someone from Athens, I really would like to find one from way back when there was a Hooters in Athens. I know it's a long shot as it's been well over 20 years since, but if anyone here possibly knows anyone who may have or actually does have one...I would really love to purchase it from you!
For me personally I keep my snacks and phone in the left, water bottle in the middle, and spare tube hand pump and tyre leaver in the right Edit:Jesus yβall blew my phone up lol, thanks for yβall input. Gave me some ideas next time I ride
