My buddy and I were on a heater and completely wasted at the Luxor playing a $10 table around 4am. The table was a really fun, diverse crowd and money flying everywhere: black chip field bets and hardways were the norm. I just had my standard pass line, bonus bet $5 on the All, Small, and Tall, and 6/8.
So to the hit: my buddy is rolling and hitting a ton of numbers. I have my normal bets out there as described above. At one point he is on his what seemed like 10th come out roll and I say "ok what do we need on the bonus still?" I see we need of course snake eyes and boxcars, and six.
My buddy instantly rolls snake eyes, ok we lose our pass line bets but no worries. Next he rolls a point of 6, NICE! The stick asks me where to put my $24 from the 6 and I say "screw it put it on boxcars".
My buddy rolls and BOOM it's a twelve!
So I hit the all, small, tall for a nickel each and 30:1 on $24 boxcars.
Was $1000+ in one roll of the dice. And because we were drunk, I was throwing nickels on snake eyes and boxcars all night with my buddy rolling and hit it so many times.
The best one was another shooter across the table from us threw the dice while I had $5 on snake eyes. One die hit the table showing a one and the other flew into my buddy's rack bouncing all over and then hit my buddy in the chest before flopping back down onto the felt showing the other one. Because my friend froze up and didn't manipulate the shot at all, dealers allowed it as a clean roll.
I miss vegas
Is the Luxor hotel a good spot to stay at for edc? I figure itβs reasonably priced and right on the strip
Iβve also heard stuff itβs going to be demolished, dosent anyone know anything about that and is it safe to book?
Thinking of splurging for an mgm hotel, but thinking can I justify the price when The only real thing Iβm goin to do At the hotel is sleep and hang out for the pool for a few hours before I hit the day clubs and go out all day
Hey guys so me and my gf are Egyptians in our mid twenties. Due to some circumstances I wasn't able to get her a birthday present and one thing she'd told me about was that she'd never been to Luxor, so I thought hey since I saved up some money why not surprise her with a trip for both of us? I have some concerns about some aspects of the trip though, so your insight would be appreciated.
We'll be staying 2 nights max, which would be about 2.5-3 full days, is that enough time for a Luxor trip in your opinion? And if so what are the "must do's"? I did some research and decided on Karnak, Seti tomb in Valley of Kings and Nefertari tomb in Valley of Queens, balloon ride, and felukah. What else do you guys recommend? Any night-time attractions or recommendations? Nice restaurants?
Would all the attractions that I mentioned be open for visitors or are they closed due to corona? I can't exactly rely on online information when it comes to Egypt as I'm sure most of you are well aware
How much would a tour guide cost? Would it be doable without one?
For accommodation there's the issue of hotels not letting two unrelatwd Egyptian of the opposite sex stay in the same room, is that actually enforced? If so, should I try and book a room for myself without telling them that she'd be staying with me? Or should I try and find an Airbnb instead? Also how safe would Airbnb's be (kinda paranoid about spycams and stuff)?
Anything else that I should keep in mind that I haven't already mentioned?
Thank you in advance, I really appreciate it β€οΈ
I'm not sure which subreddit to put this in so please forgive me if this is off topic.
I recently moved to a new apartment and I'm getting used to the mail situation here. I've ordered several things off Amazon lately and it's almost completely random about where they deliver my package. Sometimes they will put it in my actual mailbox. Sometimes they'll drop it by my front door where it's easy to be stolen by a neighbor. And sometimes yet they will put it in the Luxor lockers which I thought was the designated section for packages.
What kind of instructions should I put when ordering to make sure they go into the Luxor lockers so my stuff doesn't get stolen? I don't see a specific option. Should I put "Building reception" or "Mailroom"?
Anybody who's used the Eldritch Tome along with Luxor's Gift will have quickly realized how insanely busted they are together.
Due to how Luxor's Gift sends a three-shot extra projectile burst with every attack from the Tome, the combo can rack up absolutely obscene amounts of DPS, even with pre-Slime God armor and accessories.
Seriously, go try it.
Anyway, I propose a nerf: Gift should only send one projectile per tome attack instead of three. The Tome may actually be OP itself, but I'm too lazy to test it without gift.
Anybody have the Luxor top? Would you say itβs true to size based on the sizing chart? Iβm like a 2, but itβs sold out at the moment and Iβm not sure if I should risk trying to get it in a 0
As we all know, the Luxor Deluxe is currently the most expensive vehicle in GTA Online, with its $10m price tag being above even an optioned-up Kosatka.
But what if instead of financing it with Shark Cards, we purchase actual plane tickets?
I decided to compare one-way plane flights from the pricing area's biggest city, using pricing for one Megalodon ($8m) and two Great Whites ($2.5m) listed on GTA Wiki.
New York, USA
Instead of spending $139.97 on Sharks, you can fly economy from New York to Paris at about the same price.
Business class? Sure, New York to Boston.
Toronto, Canada:
We still have $139.97, but now it's Canadian dollars. That's less money, but still enough to fly cross-country to Vancouver, and still have leftover cash.
Berlin, Germany:
Are you in the Eurozone? For β¬ 104.47 you can see the Arab Peninsula and fly economy to [Abu Dhabi,](https://www.google.com/travel/explore?tfs=CBwQAxoaagwIAhIIL20vMDE1NnESCjIwMjEtMDEtMTBwAoIBCwj___________8BQAFIAZgBAmCWAbIBAhgB&tfu=CoABQ2lkSGVETjFlRUpITFMwdExTMHRMUzB0YkhKa1lUSTJRVUZCUVVGR1gyd3pkbk5OWW1KblFVRVNBVEFhQ3dpb3FnRVFBaG9EVUV4T0tnb3lNREl4TFRBeUxURTFNZ295TURJeExUQXlMVEkwT0NSS0NBZ0JFQmdhQWxjMmNQc3Q&hl=en&gl=US&mvb=
... keep reading on reddit β‘Today i played Luxor for the first time on Boardgamearena (3 players). I'm not big on online and prefer face-to-face gaming.
I liked the game, however I thought it must be difficult to play in person.
You can only play 1 of 2 cards in a turn, but you often need to plan 2-3 moves in advance to set up your pieces. Then you have pieces resetting to the start and suddenly the window of planning widens.
The online implementation highlights your possible moves which makes things a lot easier. Again, the whole time i was thinking without that feature it would be a beast to play it in person. I mostly strategized within a window of 1-2 turns and tried to do my best.
For those who have the physical board game, how do you find it?
Since getting two asics 2 weeks ago i've been mining with Luxor.tech. The first night I noticed one of my miners stopped reporting any hashrate in the luxor dashboard even though the miner's web interface showed it was actively mining, it came back with a reboot. The next night my second miner did the same thing. I thought my overclock settings might have been unstable so I dropped it. I've since switched them to the luxor "switching" pool. It stayed stable for a couple of days. Yesterday night I noticed both my miners showed offline in the dashboard but once again the interface showed otherwise. I've let them at that to see if they would come back on their own. This morning the dashboard doesn't even show the offline miners, it shows as if I do not have any miners at all and of course, no hashrate or gains reported.
So what is up with that? Am I looking at a miner problem or a problem with luxor? I could not find anything relatable online and luxor seem to be quite new so... I'm a bit lost as to where the issue lies. Any clues or input? Thanks!
