Trying to avoid evening rush hour traffic out of San Jose, so open to stopping anywhere thatβs worth it between SJC and Napa. I see that itβs about a 90-minute drive.
We live in Houston, so definitely like diverse cuisine. Open to suggestions and weβre an adventurous group, so anything goes.
Will be driving from SJ to SF today and was wondering what the best place to stop for lunch would be. I never made the trip before so I have never been in any of the areas. I like anything from curry to bento to mexican food, so I am not looking for anything specific but more so I am looking for an iconic place, either one tourists or locals always flock to, just not anything upscale and preferably with seating so I do not have to take it go (unless it is absolutely worth it).
Iβm not expecting too much since this is very last minute, but Iβm crossing my fingers.
Hi all. Iβm an asian male from Dallas looking to find another person male or female who wants to go out for lunch. Iβll be in the area(Cupertino) for a couple of hours. Donβt really know any good places to eat and would prefer not to eat alone. Iβm also interested in suggestions as well if youβre unable to meet. Can also go to San Jose if that is better. If you need a ride, let me know. Iβm in a rental and can come pick you up and drop you off afterwards.
Also, really enjoying the weather you guys have out here. Is it really winter now?
Looking to try something new. :)
My friend and I were at Box Lunch last night in Oakridge Mall (San Jose, CA) when we came across two Star Wars Holiday Santa Yoda. Didn't find any of the others in the series. One box was perfect and the other box had a dent in the outside plastic. The two Santa Yoda are position slightly different from each other, as if someone made no effort to center them on the base. Expected release data for the series is 10/2/2018.
A little more background: edit : not my employees, but my fellow employees/coworkers/colleagues edit 2: I'm a salary employee, as are my colleagues, not hourly.
The company I work for is a small biotech company (<5 employees). There was a verbal acknowledgement we get 1 hour for lunch. It was implied I could go any where for this period. So for the first 3-4 months I was employed here, I'd simply go out to eat or go to my home. However, my CEO told me that he requires me to be on site during my lunch hours (implicating he could find someone else to do the job if I didn't like to work at my job [I took it as a threat to end my employment based on his tone]). No big deal, I can eat at work. But even when I eat at work, my operations manager frequently tells me to do things while I'm on my lunch break (answering emails, calling customers, etc). We have no dedicated HR and my coworkers and I function as a "team" of sorts. We all have to pull our own weight here to make sure company remains functional, but this seems a little ridiculous. What can I do?
I work in downtown San Jose (right near Julian and 87) and my girlfriend works in Morgan Hill. Does anyone have any recommendations for a centralized spot to meet for lunch? I would be fine with having the longer drive.
Thanks!
Going to santa cruz from san jose for a quick lunch date with my gf...any ideas on places to go eat. Ive done the wharf a million times and its fun but played out. any hidden gems?
I work in Milpitas and am tired of having lunch with my coworkers all the time. Let's share a meal! Maybe more? See how it goes!
