I don't know about the other tank players out there, but as someone who traditionally is a big fan of playing tanks (Zac, Sejuani, Rammus etc.), this season's felt a little weird. I can build Sunfire Aegis and get a ton of damage and CDR... great... in the mid game there's a period of time where I can pretty much 100-0 squishy champions in my cc rotation, but once my damage falls off I just feel like paper. A lot of tank legendary items feel so much worse to build than their old counterparts (ie. Randuins) and especially MR itemization is a god damn disaster. If the enemy has an AP mage building Liandry's it feels like you need 2 dedicated MR items just to tank 1 champion's damage alone.
It's weird that champions like Aatrox, Olaf, Renekton can genuinely fulfill my role--that is soaking damage--better than I can.
Do any other tank players feel the same way this season, or is it just me?
Edit: Sort of a late edit, but a lot of people took this post to the extreme and interpreted it as wanting tanks to do 0 damage and become literally unkillable. Don't take these numbers seriously, it's just an example for sake of argument, but: if they did -20% damage and +20% tankyness, would they do so little damage that you could walk past them and ignore them? Generally my biggest complaint is to the itemization changes to tanks. A lot of stats were removed from popular tank items (ie. Abyssal Mask, Randuins HP, FH armor, Dead Man's armor) or popular items were removed altogether from our pool (Locket, Adaptive Helm).
I (41M) was dating my Girlfriend (31F) for more than a year. During the course of our relationship, we had our ups & downs like any other couple. We both made our intentions clear, which was to date with a purpose & find someone we can see ourselves marrying. We both thought we found that someone in each other. She also expressed interest in always wanting to be romantic. So, when one of my best friends asked me to be in his wedding, I took the opportunity to invite her. This entailed a week-long Cruise with some extra days away because the ship left from another state. Needless to say, I paid for everything, which was my good pleasure. I can honestly say that we argued too many times for my liking during that cruise, we almost broke up while still on the ship. After we got back, I still managed to do little mini staycations with her just to take her out of her house. When the summer time came, we didn't do much of that because my job slowed down during those months, so I didn't get paid as much; not to mention, I was getting my new business venture off the ground. Therefore, I didn't have as much funds in the immediate present to allocate to outings. These are all things I made clear to her. She also knows this because our fields of work are somewhat related.
During an argument, I was trying to work things out with her & hopefully chalk things up to miscommunication. During the course of that conversation, she said "I'm no longer in love with you". I immediately stopped trying and told her we need to end it if that's the case. She immediately reversed gears & told me that I was giving up to easily & made me out to be the villain. I told her there are many things I'm willing to do for a woman, but to try and convince someone I'm already in a relationship with to be in love with me isn't one of them.
The Philadelphia 76ers won a big game on ESPN against the Boston Celtics, and Joel Embiid's fingertips were all over it. He scored 42 points on 61% shooting from the floor, made 81% of his free throws and had a double double. He only had 1 turnover. The big man continues to play at an MVP level.
The Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers played one of the craziest games of the year tonight and Joel Embiid played amazing. He dominated in OT, made the clutch shot to send it to OT and was all-around amazing. What a clutch performance for a team who needed him to show up big

It's early in the season and only two games in but this Nets duo looks like they're the goods. People were doubting their ability to work together and be effective in the preseason with "only one ball" but they've both been getting their own and doing so on incredible efficiency. The Nets improve to 2-0 for the year and are looking like the team to beat in the East. What are your expectations for Brooklyn this year?
