he drove me to his apartment. i had never been in his place before, i was nervous, but i agreed to sex. that was consensual.
when i wanted to leave, he said he wanted his dick sucked. i said no, as i had never done that before. i made my way to the door, where he walked ahead of me, put his arms out wide and blocked the door.
he said "I won't drive you home. I want it."
he had already hit me before this. i knew what he could do to me. i reluctantly did it, even though i was not able to consent.
he raped me by coercion. i wasn't beaten or physically forced, but i was still raped.
and she was too. to see the jokes made about her...it makes me feel ill.
EDIT: to the people who keep asking why i went to his apartment after he hit me: fuck you.
iβm in a physics rabbit hole, doing too many problems and now iβm wondering, how is light moving? why?
edit: thanks for all the replies! this stuff is fascinating to learn and think about
Guy from porch.com installed a light fixture. This is my story.
The guy who installed my light fixture takes my number from the work order and starts asking me questions that relate to my line of work and a project heβs doing. At first, I try to be helpful and redirect him from calling me to emailing me. He sends me an email about his project and includes an entirely unnecessary photo from his photography collection. His photo features a girl, who has mysteriously hidden her face under some goggles, standing in her underwear and a βStar Wars #1 fanβ t-shirt. Also in the photo is his goddamned shadow and the words βSCI-FI BABESβ in calculator font. I cannot determine if the calculator font is intended as a watermark to protect his intellectual property or just a reminder to the viewer that this is sci-fi and a babe. When I donβt respond in a timely manner, he calls. I give him some resources to start his project and politely tell him I canβt help him with it. Mainly because he seems to want me to do the project for him for as cheap as possible. Iβm just not that into being underpaid for side projects or manipulated by middle aged boy-men. Itβs just one of my charming quirky personality traits. Think Zooey Deschanel, but less musical and perfect. For some reason he sends me a picture of his motorcycle? I ignore it.
Then the guyβ who only knows me through installing a light in my home which I paid forβ invites me to see his band play. I donβt respond. He sends a selfie. I donβt respond. He βchecks inβ on me to βsee how Iβm doing.β Again, canβt emphasize enough that I just didnβt want one of those lights that looks like a boob and I also didnβt want to install the new light fixture myself.
Light fixture guy waits about a month before messaging again. It is an invite to another streaming show. It is a pandemic and I am all too aware that my time on this earth is finite. The text includes an event photo. He is wearing a straw fedora. His stage name includes the word βDaddyβ and he is not a) a swing band in the 90s or b) James Franco (which, if weβre being honest, isnβt exactly a mitigating circumstance). Much like how I donβt respond to his other texts, I do not respond to this text. A month passes. He sends a message about his project. It is completed. I donβt care, but I also donβt respond. Itβs been 7 months since I made the mistake of paying a man to install a light fixture in my home.
I work up the courage to contact porch.com and say that I didnβt

Why YSK: Wiping off headlights and tail lights are to help others see you, even if you don't need the headlights to see. Wiping off the hood prevents snow from flying back up at the windshield making it hard to see even with the wipers on and wiping it off the roof prevents it from flying back at others. I thought most people knew this but driving around I see way too many people that haven't done these things.
The roof part is the most important and there's ice on the roof because that can do some damage to another car If it flies off at high speeds.
Edit: so I just looked it up and it turns out that not wiping off your headlights is illegal in Michigan as well as allowing things to fly off your car that could impair other drivers view. It just seems that nobody cares or knows.
I actually know someone that swapped out the fog light hole covers for fog lights that would run with the park lights. That someone was me. Edit: The fact that I didn't proofread the title before posting is proof that the story is genuine. I was, and still am, a dumbass.
Been noticing that when modern cars pull up behind me at night they cast shadows in front of me, overpowering my headlights from 2-3 car lengths away. proof.
I figured my lights were just hazy. So I restored them. Before. After. . Still get overpowered by modern car's lights.
Voltage to the light fixture is nominal and LEDs are only ~1 year old.
EDIT: for those asking what I did to restore my hazy lights. I followed this video. Trick is to seal the headlights with clear UV film and not a spray. Spray will wear off. My 3M UV film has a 5 year warranty from yellowing. If after 5 years it yellows, I peel it, and reapply new film. NOTE you don't have to restore headlights again bc the film protected the plastic. MUCH cheaper than new headlights.
Hey everyone, glizzo#1042 here! (Feel free to add on Discord if we're not friends already.) I'm launching a new switch and wanted to give a few sets to the community.
It's called the Pewter, it's made by JWK, and it's a modern take on vintage MX Browns.
I drafted a motivations blog / overview / writeup on the switch if you'd like to learn more. It's also pasted below.
For the giveaway, I'll use redditraffler, and shipping will be free. To join just comment below with your favorite keyboard to date (can be one you've had or just like from afar) and I'll ask the system to choose three winners at 3pm PST tomorrow (Saturday the 6th).
I've fulfilled a few dozen friend and friends of friends Pewter orders from my smol shop, Parallel, but this is my first real announcement for the site/switch being live. You're welcome to use "redditfour" for a discount if you want to pick up some switches.
Thank you, and feel free to PM here or on Discord if you want to chat more. Cheers!

Pewter Switch Overview and FAQ
Switch specifications:
Motivations:
If you survey todayβs average keyboard enthusiast on switches theyβve used, you might hear a breakdown like βhmm I've tried some 12 linears, 6 beefy tactiles, and just one light tactile, the MX Brown."
Nicely-tuned Browns can sound and feel great, but the stock experience and βscratchinessβ many of us remember from our first or secondΒ mech has understandably pushed us towardsΒ newer, appealing, linear and heavy tactile alternatives.Β In tandemΒ with DaleSnailβs drive for his hopefully upcoming Oxbloods, Iβm not really sure why light tactiles got skipped in the βpremium switchβ wave. Thereβs a lot to like about light tactiles.
One thing a fewΒ typemastersΒ like ActualGlacier have shared with me is that they like MX Browns because they can touch type faster. Glacier and others attribute some of this boon to the fact that a Brownsβ subtle
