AITA for telling my sister she has no right to judge my career since she's never worked a day in her life?
I was over at my grandma's house with my mum, sister, brother and 3 cousins and their girlfriends, for some backstory I'm a male midwife and I recently completed my degree and am currently doing my graduate year. I do really enjoy my job because it provides a relationship with your patients and allows a lot of flexibility and it pays pretty well too I'm 25 and making $78,123 per year I ended up doing midwifery after nursing.
My sister has always criticized my nursing career as "not being manly enough" and has told me women don't like feminine guys and I'd have trouble finding a wife etc and usually, I just put up with it since I don't want to cause any drama in the house but I reached my boiling point today. For some information on my sister, she has genuinely never worked a day in her life she either mooches off her parents any boyfriends she had at the time but now she mooches off her husband I feel bad for guy ending up with my sister.
She made another comment about my career ag

AITA For "Ruining" my kid's life after she ruined a dress?
Ex(31) and I(m32) had C, (F16) way too young. We're friendly co-parents. One big rule we share is if our daughter breaks something, she pays for it.
Now, sis (27) and I are the only grandkids. Aunt never married. Instead, she worked with Gma and Gpa at their seamstry store, and took it over when they retired.
Sis's girlfriend (29) proposed last year. Gpa offered to make FSIL a custom suit, which she was over the moon about. Gma had me ask Sis what her dream dress was and record the convo. Sis, thinking it was just between us, told me in great detail what her dream dress was, though said it was way too expensive, so she would get something much cheaper.
Well, a few months later Gma surprised Sis with her dream wedding dress. It fot perfectly and everyone cried.
Sadly, Gma recently passed away, which hit us all hard. Sis was devistated, but decided that the dress meant Gma would still be there with us at the wedding.
The issue comes in with C. She's very large, much larger then S

AITA for going no-contact with my parents after learning they had lied to me about my allergies all my life?
Hey everyone. I am 19 years old and my parents are in their 50s.
For as long as I can remember, I have been allergic to several things:
Since I was a young child, my parents have completely kept all of them out of our house. While other kids ate breakfast cereals, I ate fish and assorted pickled vegetables for breakfast. While other kids had Lunchables, I had grilled chicken or fish with, again, assorted vegetables (usually sweet potatoes). While other kids ate birthday cake at the birthday party, I had an apple.
I never questioned this until a couple of months ago. I was at my aunt's house for my birthday party, and she made brownies for everyone. For me, she took great steps to make them with almond flour and avoided all of my allergies. I started eating them and thought little of it until my aunt suddenly looked at me and, in a panicked way, asked which plate I took the brownies from. I pointed from the one where I got my brownies, and s

LPT: If your parents are still around, next birthday ask them to write down their life story. I did it this year for both parents and they were the two best presents I've ever received
As the children of parents we have a very one way relationship. We see our parents as parents, not people. And for most of childhood that is essentially a service role - they do things for you, you take things from them.
I'm now in my 30s and I realized I only knew a few select moments in both of their lives before I existed. A couple of highlights, but nothing that really painted a picture about how they came to be the people they were as adults.
So a couple of years ago I asked them both to write down their story for my birthday. Of course, this was a difficult request for them - getting me some socks or a couple of books feels way more comfortable. But I pushed them on it, helped manage their expectations and made it clear I wasn't expecting Ulysses, and stood firm on the request.
One year later and my birthday comes around again and this time I got the presents I asked for. Instantly read them cover to cover (I mean, one was 4 pages typed up, and the other was a small handwrit

I almost lost my life when I was thirteen because doctors believed I was faking my illness for attention. Now I’m determined to go to medical school, because I don’t want what happened to me to ever happen to anyone else.
I’ve seen several stories similar to this in r/all the past few days, and I thought I would share mine. I think all of the women in those posts were adults, but unfortunately their experiences are also shared by children, like I was.
When I was ten, I started to notice that whenever I went outside and the temperature was 60 degrees or under, or held anything that had recently been in the fridge or the freezer, my hands would go numb and my fingers would turn purple within minutes, even if I was wearing gloves. This is called Raynaud’s syndrome. It’s caused by poor circulation, and was a symptom of my underlying autoimmune disorder.
For some reason, no one listened to me. Everyone, including my own family, thought I was just being a baby, even though I could show people that my fingers were literally purple.
Then when I was twelve, I developed a signature symptom if my illness: the butterfly rash. My cheeks permanently turned bright red the morning of picture day in sixth grade.

AITA for telling my parents I have no plans to be involved in my unborn siblings life and I think they are wrong for having another kid at their age?
I'm a 21 year old college student currently stuck at home due to a viral pandemic. Both me and my sister (19 years old) moved back in when our dorms closed and plan to leave back for school in the fall (if the colleges re-opens).
The problem here comes from the fact that this week our parents (mom is 45 and dad is 53) decided to drop on us that mom is 3 months pregnant. Suffice to say, this situation is strange. I didn't dare ask but my guess is this is a "whoopsie" child. The thing that really caused issue though was not only are they planning on carrying the kid to term, they have slowly started hinting over the week that they expect me and my sister to stay nearby and "be a brother and sister" and help them out with this kid.
Ignoring the fact that my parents are already past middle age, this will not work at all. I graduate next year and am most likely moving to the other side of the US or even out of the country (I interned last summer in Germany and plan to apply to the company

AITA for not helping my coworker move after I showed up and no one was ready for the move and they started to belittle me over my life choices.
This happened this morning. I agreed to help a work buddy to move since I had a large truck and a trailer that I could use. The plan was simple, I would show up around 6:30-6:45 AM. And we would start with the large stuff (couch, beds, ect) and file any open space left with the packing boxes. So well not everything had to be packed and ready to go (They were still living in the house so you need access to some stuff) I told them to have at least 70-80% of it ready and the his wife and kids can pack the rest for when we were traveling to the new place about 50 minutes away. He agreed to pay for the gas, breakfast, and lunch, I agreed to be the driver and mover.
Well I show up at 6:38 on and give them a call. No pickup. So I go up to the room which is on the 3rd floor, knock on the door and no answer. So I try the phone again, and after checking that I have the right address (I don't want to wake the wrong person up) I try the door again. One of the kids opens up and I am relive
