and all just because of a stupid police officer... The conversation went like this, when I got pulled over in my car:
Officer: "License and registration, please, I think you are drunk!"
Me: "I assure you, I did not drink anything."
Officer: "Ok, let's do a little test! Imagine driving in the dark on a highway at night, when you see two lights in the distance. What is this?"
Me: "A car."
Officer:"Of course! But which one? A Mercedes, an Audi or a Ford?"
Me:"I have no idea!"
Officer:"So, you're drunk."
Me:"But I didn't drink anything."
Officer:"Okay, one more test -- Imagine, you drive in the dark on a highway at night, and there is one light coming at you. What is it?
Officer:"Of course! But which one? A Honda, a Kawasaki or a Harley?"
Me:"I have no idea!"
Officer:"As I suspected, you're drunk!"
Then I started to get annoyed and asked a counter question.
Me:"So..., counter question -- You're driving in the dark on a highway at night and see a woman on t... keep reading on reddit ➡
My mom refuses to give these items to me. There is no way to negotiate with her; she's going through the court system right now and is being mandated to check into some kind of mental hosipal (she was abusive and insane). I start college in two weeks and without them, i cannot get a job. My passport (which she is withholding) is outdated, my driving permit is expired.
I was told to get a replacement birth certificate, but that is supposedly impossible because according to Illinois law "A valid government issued photo identification (ID) that must be readable and is not expired/out of date (if an ID is not provided, unreadable, or expired, the request will be returned unprocessed)".
It seems like the process is birth certificate -> passport -> social security card -> renew expired driving permit -> drivers license -> job. Will I (or my dad) have to sue her for these items? What are my options?
Edit with extra info requested by a comment: I no longer live with my mom... keep reading on reddit ➡
Consumables includes drops, capsules, gummies, and tea flower.
Just a heads-up. Requires a background check and of course some licensing fees.
A lot of Texas CBD vendors are being caught off-guard, and I haven’t seen anything posted here, so thought I would.
DSHS website has the info you need and a checklist.
The helpline number is 512-834-6626. Let the operator know you need help with the “Consumable Hemp Product License” per the Texas Department of State Health Services.
No idea when or to what extent it’ll be enforced, but the more you know...
Thanks dad. Love feeling like this. Guess I’m just an irresponsible pos.
Edit: going off my own opinion here but; with all the people out there who say “oh you’ll never get a job or be successful if you smoke weed”. Yeah no shit, cause of these unfair testing that STILL test for THC CAUSING us to not get the jobs. Amazing how if THC was thrown out the window, all us stoners wouldn’t even have to worry and could just go on with our lives. Even with the drug tests I’m still going on with my life and continuing to be a successful stoner.
For me personally, I would never in my life think about going to work (healthcare) high. As soon as I’m off the clock and not on call, fuck yeah I’m lighting up.
So yesterday I was pulled over and received a ticket for my plate stickers being expired. They expired in June 2020; when I checked Service Ontario’s website prior to their expiration it states clearly that plate sticker renewal is suspended until further notice. I also never received notice of their upcoming expiration in the mail.
I tried to mention this to the officer but he insisted that because some Service Ontario locations are open, I am required to go get my stickers renewed. When I got home I revisited their website and it still states that renewal isn’t required until further notice. On their social media pages (Facebook, Twitter) an infographi... keep reading on reddit ➡

When she opens her wallet, he notices a conceal-carry permit.
He asks, “Ma’am, do you have a weapon in your possession at this time?”
She responds "I'll bet you $100 you can't guess the answer to that question" as she slaps a crisp bill on her dashboard.
The cop rubs his chin and thinks for a moment and then says " OK lady, I'll take that bet." He guesses that she has a .38 Special in her purse. And a .45 in her glove box. And a 9mm Glock in the center console. And a shotgun in the trunk.
“However did you guess that young man?" The old lady says grasping her pearls.
"You see ma'am," the cop said snatching up the hundred-dollar bill, "This is Reddit. After I read about you on the third repost, I knew I'd find you soon enough."

Hello! I am a 22 year old engineering student with one semester left and projecting a day job of around $75K annually while living with my parents rent free to start. I have always been interested in investing and real estate with intentions to flip a handful of houses to build capital to purchase rental properties and pay off school debt. My dad is down to only a few years left until retirement and agreed to providing a loan for the first couple flips and will help work on the houses with me to split the profits. We both are handy man types and plan on doing the majority of the work ourselves.
The question is, in your experiences is obtaining a real estate license for primarily access to MLS, potentially whole sale homes, and save on paying commission to a realtor worth the effort and money? I am from Michigan if that helps and fairly inexpensive areas.
Square Enix seems like they gave Crystal Dynamics the time, freedom & budget to create the ambitious Avengers game they wanted to make. Can you imagine the rushed hackjob we would've gotten if EA or Activation got their grubby hands on the Avengers License? Ubisoft would've been the lesser of three evils, but even so I wouldn't trust them with creating a great Marvel game. besides maybe Sony in-house studios, Avengers went to the best possible publisher it could have imo
Can someone explain? What do I do? If I don't pay will I be barred entrance?
I've been living in Vegas for a few years now and I'm stunned by the number of cars I see every day that don't have license plates. When living elsewhere around the country I'd maybe see one car a year missing its tags but literally every day on the road here there are cars without license plates. Is there any particular reason why that's so common here? Does Metro not bother with unlicensed cars? What's the inside story?
TLDR: when you initiate a vehicle lease - whatever your lease payment is going to be you want to pay that amount when you drive off with the vehicle. Never a cent more to reduce the monthly payments.
Before we get started there's something you need to know:
"Down payment" AND "due at signing" are NOT interchangeable terms when it relates to a vehicle lease. If you pay $18,000 to initiate a lease that's "due at signing" and the additional lease payments are $500 per month - you put a down payment of $17,500. Down payment reduces lease payments over the term. Due at signing is the total amount of cash and trade value put up front to initiate a lease.
DISCLAIMER for /u/toews-me: I am using really obscene fictitious numbers to prove my point. I'm using $18,000 as due at signing. For a car that is $1000 per month 18K is an outsized number but the concept is the same. It could be $3000 or $6000 due at signing - the number doesn't matter. If someone uses all their trade equity to start a l... keep reading on reddit ➡
