I'm in the market for a leather jacket, but I have the handicap of also being a vegan who feels very uncomfortable owning and wearing animal skin. Not judging! It's just not what I chose to wear.
I already material-jumped in a similar style and ordered an amazing moleskin jacket I will receive shortly (Yofukuten). I hope it will fit. But then I decided to also ask you! If all else fails, read the manual, and if that doesn't work either- as last resort, ask someone who knows.
So what I am looking for is the faux leather jacket that is the least unacceptable to a refined taste on the market. The style doesn't *really* matter, as long as it doesn't go overboard with zippers and buckles (but I did say refined taste). I am looking for something where you can go and consider the style, rather than recoiling in revulsion at the tacky material.
Being a really good leather imitation is just as good as something that looks different and interesting in its own right. The closest I got were the Altiir men's Pinatex jacket, and the Levi's PU faux leather moto jacket. The former didn't *quite* sell me on the material look even though it is unique, and the latter is kind of hard to get in Germany. Yeah, availability in Germany is kind of important, international shipping is fine. Budget: β¬100 - β¬900.
Thanks!
Edit: Many, many thanks for the many, many jacket recommendations shared. I created an album from them (and some of my own research) sorted by material for easier reference: https://imgur.com/a/elCKrO6 Big discovery for me was waxed canvas as a material- leather jackets cause suffering to those who can't wear them, but no more, thanks to waxed canvas. Will most likely buy something along the lines of the Belstaff Brookstone.
