Which band(s) carries the torch of Lamb of God/Pantera?

I'm talking about metal that keeps that pentatonic/bluesy sound (without restricting itself to it exclusively).

Chronologically, these bands were the frontrunners of that kind of metal in its due time:

  1. Black Sabbath
  2. MotΓΆrhead
  3. Metallica
  4. Pantera
  5. Machine Head (discussable)
  6. Lamb of God

Some options for the successors:

  1. FEARED

  2. Mick Gordon's D00M Soundtrack

Most of the time, the later has influenced the former.

My pick would be Mick Gordon and his D00M Soundtrack. Just check "Meathook" from 0:25 https://youtu.be/ngAi4JzL2rU

and "The only thing they fear is you" https://youtu.be/Aqk7x_w1H98

and a more faster beta version of "Super Gore Nest" https://youtu.be/Is7W5m_ug7E

But sadly, these are instrumentals. So, I'm looking for another band that I could consider the successor of Lamb of God and that also keeps the spirit of the bands I mentioned; that combination of groove, speed, bluesy sound (though not exclusively), toughness, badassery, etc.

It should be a more or less younger band. Mick Gordon is younger than LOG members, but I'm looking for another band that has a singer.

I'm not considering Five Finger Death Punch, Black Label Society, because even if they had the potential, their music is either too slow or not as aggressive.

Ex-LAMB OF GOD Drummer Chris Adler Has a New Band FIRSTBORNE, EP Available Now

I know this might only be tangentially relevant for the sub, and honestly, there’s a much more salient release today for the LoG sub... but interesting timing.

I haven’t listened to it yet, but looking forward to see how paths diverge.

Regardless of any potential bad blood, Chris Adler is probably pretty significant for a lot of us LoG fans. I know I’ll keep an eye on what he does.

Crap. I meant for this to be a link post. Here it is:

What are some other metal bands, usually groove metal, with siblings, likely brothers, on guitar and drums aside from Pantera, Sepultura, Lamb of God, Gojira, Mushroomhead, and Alien Weaponry?

Pantera = Dimebag Darrell Abbot + Vinnie Paul Abbot

Sepultura = Max Cavalera + Igor Cavalera

Lamb of God = Willie Adler + Chris Adler

Gojira = Joe Duplantier + Mario Duplantier

Mushroomhead = Dave Felton (Gravy) + Steve Felton (Skinny)

Alien Weaponry = Lewis de Jong + Henry de Jong

Seriously, 6 groove metal (of course mixed with thrash/industrial/death) band with brothers on guitars and drums specifically. Not just vocals, no bass, not even other instrument like keyboards or violins.

Opinions on a band like Lamb of God?

This is extremely random but what are Opeth fans' opinions on LoG? I just started checking them out for the first time and I kinda like some stuff I'm hearing from them quite a bit actually. They're super fun to listen to. But I also feel like I'm "not allowed" to like them because they're more of a simplistic (or I guess some people would say generic) metal band where as Opeth is more proggy/sophisticated even.

I feel like since LoG isn't a band that would be respected in the metal community like Opeth, then I shouldn't like them because they aren't "good metal." But I also don't want to be one of those elitists saying a band isn't good if they aren't underground technical death prog or whatever. So I just wanted to know people's thoughts on this or if there are any fans of Lamb of God in this subreddit. Opeth is one of my favorite bands and I feel like the users in this subreddit are pretty chill and friendly people. Just curious on your thoughts. Thanks :)

Update: I was right about Opeth fans being chill. Thank you to everyone for being so kind in all your responses. It boosts my faith that the metal community isn't filled with complete assholes \m/
