Samantha Koenig, an 18-year-old woman, was reported missing on February 2, 2012. At the time, she’d been living in Anchorage, Alaska. She was reported missing by her father at roughly 1:00 PM that day, after she’d failed to reappear after she’d locked up Common Grounds Espresso (the place where she worked) around 8:00 PM the previous night. They noticed that he had a lot of friends with criminal records; people who’d been to prison for selling drugs, armed robberies, etc. They were particularly interested in rumors that James Koenig owed a lot of money to at least one drug dealer.
James was shocked and horrified when he found out that he was the primary suspect with regards to his daughter’s disappearance. He stopped speaking to investigators after that, which only confirmed to investigators that he was involved.
On February 17, 2012, police found a ransom note which they... keep reading on reddit ➡
