To love the journey is to accept no such end. I have found through painful experience, that the most important step a man can take is always the next one.
Hello out there in Redditland. I'm a 40 year old single dad making his way through life as best as I can. I'm 5'7" about 145lbs, I shave my head because well frankly genetics were rather u kind to the hair follicles atop my head. I have green eyes and if comparing myself to any celebrity I would say Jason Statham would be pretty close, I also don't have that English accent.
Here because OLD is just a total nightmare and I'm looking for a real connection to someone who understands what effort means in a real relationship.
I'm rather high up on the nerdiness scale, so let's get that out if the way. I frequently play Everquest late in the evenings after my children are asleep for the night. Yes, that's probably super nerdy, but that's me. I do like bingeing on streaming platforms like Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu. I think Game of Thrones last season was a dumpster fire and am still disappointed. Deadpool is my favorite superhero by far and I think Ryan Reynolds was the perfect fit for the role I read often, some of my favorite authors are Kevin Hearne, Jim Butcher, Robert Jordan, Andrzej Sapkowski. My favorite author is Brandon Sanderson so if you like him as well we will have a ton of conversation just about that. I hike with my children, and we have visited many of the trails and peaks in the South Bay and they both love Castle Rock.
You will need to know both of my children fall under the autism spectrum, they are both sweet children but have a hard time understanding proper socialization. I have spent quite a lot of my time putting there needs above my own. Now that they are settled in and doing well I feel I can take the time to actually get to know someone and see if the sparks we create can combine into something beautiful and majestic. I'm looking for the real deal here.
So here I am taking a journey down a new trail, hoping for the best. Prefer messages here at first, willing to move to other apps if there's a connection.
Thanks for reading if you got this far.
I am strongly interested in rock collecting in San Jose, California, United States of America. How should I begin? What resources can I use to begin my journey?
Doug Wilson arrived in the Bay Area in 1991 as a player on the first San Jose Sharks team amid a National Hockey League expansion. Now he is running things behind the scenes as the Sharks' general manager.
A lot has changed for the Sharks and for Mr. Wilson, who as team captain led the inaugural 1991-1992 squad to a dismal 17 wins and 58 losses. Back then, the team struggled to eke out wins in the Cow Palace, a drafty rodeo venue near San Francisco.
Now the Sharks regularly draw crowds of more than 17,000 at San Jose's HP Pavilion and are consistently one of the NHL's best teams. Last season the Sharks compiled 43 wins and 29 losses before being eliminated in the playoffs. Yet despite such success in recent years, the Sharks have yet to win a Stanley Cup.
