Welcome to our SNL live discussion thread. The host is Jason Bateman and musical guest is Morgan Wallen (Take two!). For those new to the show, tune into your local NBC affiliate from around 11:30 PM to follow this episode live. A quick recommendation to mention the sketch you're referring to in your comment. It's not a hard and fast rule, but it does make the thread more readable after the show finishes. Since this thread is likely to fill up quickly, consider sorting the comments by "new" (instead of "best" or "top") to see the newest posts. This should be automatically done, but it might not be so maybe check. Enjoy the show!

If you havenβt seen American History X, thereβs a scene where the Crips and Nazis play a game of basketball against each other for control of the court. This is where Phil Jackson allegedly took footage of Ed Nortonβs Nazi character and mixed it in with Jason Williams

This is going to be extremely unpopular, hence why I used my throwaway account. But hear me out:
Iβm a small business owner in Calgary, 5 years in. We are a small retail shop that has an online presence but the nature of our products typically require someone to come into the location. I donβt make an amazing living, I do about as good as the rest of the population working a job, take home about $65K/year but I get other freedoms that come with owning a business. I have 4 full time staff that I support. We have segregated shifts so that 2 staff arenβt working with the other two, and I largely stay out of daily operations so as to not be a contact point between the two shifts. This year I am taking home $35k, and have worked more than I ever have in order to keep my livelihood in tact. We wonβt let anyone in the store unless they have a mask, have hand sanitizer available and protective barriers, all of which has cost me about $2500. A compete shut down will likely put me out of business if it goes for more than 6 weeks.
I agree with the notion that the general population should be responsible enough, given the amount of the information out there about COVID, to keep to themselves when required, avoid groups, and not subvert the recommendations from our government. If everyone had done what they suggested two weeks ago, we would have seen case counts drop. I also know that we canβt count on a portion of the population to be responsible, and thatβs going to happen. When I see stories of people knowingly going into a hospital after testing positive and lying about the results, it makes me wonder what kind of morons we need to protect ourselves from. Or the Black Friday videos at Chinook. Like, seriously, who in their right fucking mind thought that was a good idea to go there? Again, the onus should have been on the mall to have better controls, but the true responsibility should have been on the boards of people in the mall... I mean, even if I showed up, and saw those crowds, I would have turned around. The onus is and will continue to be on each and every one of us to do anything absolutely necessary to
While I do agree that the rules are confusing, and could have been more direct, this is not new information and by now everyone knows what they should be doing to help stop the spread. The fact that people arenβt doing so and that we are likely headed for a shut down makes me shake my head because collectively, we shouldnβt be in thi

Crazy game. I thought he missed that shot. The NBA is back boys
Almost a whole year of our lives stolen, under the premise that our government would do something, anything to strengthen our healthcare system, or even contain infections. There are places in the world today where governments, even conservative governments like Australia, took decisive action to contain COVID and adequately prepare for a second wave, and people get to live something close to a normal life again.
But Jason Kenney and the UCP were too chickenshit to do the things necessary to put a lid on infection rates. They did absolutely fuck-all to prepare us for a second wave by hiring contact tracers in advance, and have done almost nothing for the average citizen to help make it through the restrictions. They have made all the sacrifices so many of us made completely pointless through their total inaction.
We wonβt get to have a normal Christmas with friends and family because Jason Kenney and the UCP failed to protect us. So many families will have a seat at their tables empty for the next holiday because someone died from an entirely preventable illness that this government failed to control.
They havenβt done nearly enough, but this governmentβs total lack of leadership has taken away so much from us.
Really worth the listen. Seems like Kyrie and LeBron were never really friends. Recorded right after LeBron announced he was going to the Lakers in July 2018, it goes in depth on all the turmoil from 2014-2018 including the 3-1 comeback, klay's comments that basically led to the 3-1 comeback, 2018 finals game 1, lots of Kyrie being jealous drama, KLove, 2018 toxic lockeroom, how Bron and dan gilbert never trusted beach other, the Kyrie trade, and so much more.
Seems like Kyrie was always a locker room destroyer but LeBron's leadership and the Cavs were able to tone it down during their run. Really explains that he's always had a huge ago and the absurd comments he's made to the media and in general now. It's more impressive that the Cavs were able to go to 4 strai

I believe this is my first write-up so please take it easy on me. :/ I just think this case has gotten way too little attention over the years for how insane the circumstances around it are.
Photo of Jason and age progression
Jason Jolkowski was a 19-year-old college student from Omaha, Nebraska who mysteriously vanished on June 13th, 2001 while on a walk between 10:45 AM and 11:30 AM. This is easily the most baffling missing personβs case Iβve ever come across mostly because of the tight timeframe and area constraints. Jason was described as a 'homebody' by his mom, and was generally well liked by friends although he was noted to be pretty shy and reserved. During the summer of 2001, Jason was staying at his family's house and he was working part-time at an Italian fast-food chain restaurant. The morning of June 13th, Jason was called in by his boss for an earlier shift than usual, and Jason agreed to come in earlier.
I'm not quite sure who arranged what, but it was agreed upon that Jason would make around a 15 minute walk from his home on N 48th St to a nearby high school called Benson High Magnet School. This was a relatively straightforward walk in a pretty residential area, although there is a park on the way to the school (I will get into the relevancy of the park soon). Jason was supposed to meet his female coworker at the high school around 11 AM, and was last seen by a neighbor returning trash cans into his house. After Jason didn't show up to the high school as planned, the coworker either called her boss (who eventually called Jason's home) or directly called Jason's home to inquire about his whereabouts and say that he didn't make it to the meeting spot. It's important to point out that the only other person at Jason's home that day was his 13 year-old brother. The details of this case provide a very tight timeframe and swath of area for whatever happened.
I tend to believe he somehow met up with foul play, but it also seems so unlikely to me? Especially considering the time of day and that Jason usually drove to work but had a change of plans because his car was at a repair shop. Although suicide is an option, it would be a very short timeframe for him to take his own life, not taking into consideration how he had arranged to be picked up already.
As mentioned before, there is a park on the way to the high school from his home. I was looking at the park (Lake James
