«In one of the non-stop e-mails that I receive from my hospital administration on a more than daily basis, there was a paragraph on "how to be responsible on social media", with some recommendations that we all can agree on. After thinking for a long time if and what to write about what's happening here, I felt that silence was not responsible. I will therefore try to convey to lay-people, those who are more distant from our reality, what we are experiencing in Bergamo during these Covid-19 pandemic days. I understand the need not to panic, but when the message of the danger of what is happening is not out, and I still see people ignoring the recommendations and people who gather together complaining that they cannot go to the gym or play soccer tournaments, I shiver. I also understand the economic damage and I am also worried about that. After this epidemic, it will be hard to start over.
Still, beside the fact that we are also devastating our national health system from an economic... keep reading on reddit ➡
on an askreddit post people have started asking me a ton of question so someone suggested to do an AMA, so here I am
Lots of questions, I'm trying to reply to everyone
Edit: I'm going outside (It is allowed) I will answer when I'll be back home
Vi sentite esattamente come... keep reading on reddit ➡
Proof (italian website): https://www.repubblica.it/cronaca/2020/03/07/news/coronavirus_chiusa_la_lombardia_e_11_province_-250570150/
My region declared tonight that in two hours we will undergo a lockdown due to COVID-19: this means that no one will be able to enter or exit the province anymore - except for emergency cases. We will be declared "Red Zone" along with many other provinces and another two regions, Lombardia and Veneto (where the whole coronavirus thing started)
UPDATE: here it's past midnight, so now i'm officially under lockdown!
UPDATE 2: It has been a pleasure answering your questions, but here it's 2 AM and bedtime is calling! Will resume the AMA in the morning if anyone is still around! Goodnight
I'm having a bit of a debate on the authenticity of Italian restaurants here in Australia.
If an Italian restaurant here has chicken pasta or chicken pizza on the menu, I end up saying "that's not real Italian food so we should stay away". My opinion comes from years of reading Italian cookbooks and watching shows about Italian cooking. But my partner says I'm being ridiculous and there will be good restaurants in Italy serving this too.
Which one of us is right?
I saw a post asking why, when Italy has such a great system, they’re having an outbreak.
The reason why is because they’re probably identifying it more accurately than the other systems that are either corrupt or inept.
