As an observational astronomer, my research focused on star formation and galaxy evolution. As an educator with over 25 years' experience, I am a qualified high school teacher, have held lectureships at Harvard University, University College London and University College Dublin, and am an eight-time recipient of Harvard's Certificate of Distinction in Teaching award for undergraduate education. My experience spans formal and informal education, teacher training, exhibit design and multimedia product development. I have an interest in special needs audiences, and co-wrote, for NASA and the Chandra X-Ray Center, the first Braille book on multiwavelength astrophysics: Touch the Invisible Sky.

Like I said in the title, I don't understand THIS SPECIFIC part of the anti-Institute crowd.
Now, I get why people wouldnt like the Institute, they kinda screwed over their once good intentions until Father and (especially, in one such timeline) yourself came along and helped redirect things (though it was mostly yourself), but what's with the Brotherhood-esque machine racism going on?
Like, I bet half the people arguing against Synths/Machines having free will don't realize that they are shitting all over Nick and Codsworth and Curie, who I bet most of them like at LEAST one of the aforementioned companions, right?
I dunno...I can see the other arguments against what is effectively my favorite faction (barring Minutemen) in this game, but why are so many of you guys anti-machine free will and venomous about the idea when Nick and Codsworth and the like exist? Do you think they don't deserve their free will?
Not trying to hate, just confused...
EDIT: W h a t, I wake up to find a surprising amount of positivity and discussion and no less than 2-3 or so awards! I suppose I should explain something else then.
One, I know the Institute doesn't exactly treat them much better than say, the Brotherhood, barring the fact that BoS would scrap them on sight, I just wonder why the logic of anti-Institute players functions this way is all. Guess I'll know once I read the comments!
Two, I will not be able to reply to or acknowledge every comment here, I apologize in advance, but I'm sure even dissenting comments are productive :)
Three, I just read the comments, and to be honest, I SHOULD have been more clear about my intentions, who I was referring to, and you know...avoid the reeeeee meme. I apologize for what may have confused you, so I'll say it a bit too late now, yes I believe Synths are sentient or close enough to where, if I'm able to have genuine friendships with Codsworth, the closest thing to a typical machine in the game, a machine made specificaly to act as a BUTLER, then anything goes in my eyes, and he's not even a Synth!
That said, thanks again guys, and have a good day!

i do not speak or understand korean so iβm just going off from the subtitles!
unfortunately, they didnβt reveal the results of the sunscreens tested. iβm guessing thereβs some legal things involved that prevents them from doing so as the announcement that was posted on instagram with the sunscreens they are testing has also been deleted.
they also explained why the test results they gotten from the purito sunscreen is different from the test posted by incidecoder. they explained it was because they used different testing equipments and slightly different conditions.
around 3:19 of the video, thereβs no subtitles provided for what is stated on the screen. it would be great if someone can help translate what is stated on the screen as google translate was unable to translate it for me.
however, in the video they revealed that they also did in vivo testing on 5 of the sunscreens that are the lowest and the testing results revealed that have SPF values lower then 30 SPF.
the products were blurred but iβm only able to make out 4 out of the 5 sunscreens.
edit: someone in the youtube comments has listed what are the sunscreens she was gonna test when she announced on instagram. the post has since been deleted.
edit 2: forgot to mention that she has also said that she will be posting a video in 3 months with sunscreens she recommends.
edit 3: translation for the text shown on 3:19 of the video by u/dokina
"Thereβs over 100 comments and idk if someone beat me to it, but if youβre talking about the Korean on screen after the FDA testing things(?) at 3:07, it reads βin vitro testing shows most of the 14 sunscreens are below SPF50β "

Not that they say they are, the initial perception is that there is a global presence to this single owner private company who's last name just happens to be McAfee. This owner has advertised that they are a global leader in cyber and law enforcement training and list about everyone on the planet as a former student. Beyond this, they advertise their courses to be $7,000 or more, but usually have sales saying there are only 1 or 3 training courses left and to pressure a potential student into buying. I was under the impression that this was a training segment of McAfee Anti-Virus company and looked into it to see what the fluctuation of prices was so dramatic. After reading some 1 STAR reviews I quickly deducted that this was a scam institution with no real backing in the cyber or LE world. Being an actual SME in cyber for DoD and a former state trooper - I have NEVER heard of them until I started seeing LinkedIn advertising pop up everywhere. While I went into YouTube and other Google research environments to learn about the owner - I finally figured out that this company is a total ONLINE delivery mechanism attempting to cash in on unsuspecting people who want Cyber training, but are not part of the military or LE community, but wishing to enhance their skill set.
This is not the place to do it. GIAC/SANS offers courses that are $7,020 each and are globally known and respected. They come with serious training materials, labs, and a worthy sought after certification. CISCO, CompTIA, ISC2, eLearnSecurity, and others like them are recognized. The McAfee Institute is not.
Having spent lot of time looking into the background of this particular company - I hope people do what I did before sending people their way. If you want to learn from actual professionals and don't want to spent 100's or thousands of dollars - look at Udemy first for inexpensive, but informational courses. See if you understand what is being taught and then seek the certifications that industry recognizes. McAfee Institute is not recognized by anyone. There is not 1 job board or any company requiring their certifications on the open market at all. With that said, their advertising is false and they are leading people to believe they are getting a high price course and skills that will elevate their standing professionally - and in reality - they are NOT !
They spend alot of money on advertising

Hello APβers!
Iβve been reading about the Munroe institute as of late and they make some pretty large claims, like the possibility of visiting the afterlife and more. I wanted to know, have any of you guys gone and what do you think?
Is what they say true?
To be honest, if it was all 100% true, I kinda would have expected them to be more popular - but Iβm not going to doubt :)
Anyways, thanks Noah
In his appearance on the Joe Rogan Podcast, Jacques Vallee said that the entity that controls the Phenomenon in our government and controls the Intelligence Agencies like the CIA is a Private Contractor. He then goes on to say that a company called the Battelle Memorial Institute is the one that sent the memo cancelling the US government's planned disclosure event to the assembled scientists and academics.

If you look into this company, they are a 501(c)(3) company that doesn't pay taxes, is not subject to FOIA requests, and has clearance under the Atomic Secrets Classification, not the State or Executive.
This company has been around since the 20's and is appears to control every sector of science, defense, and society.
They have their hands in:
Chemical Demilitarization, High Hazards, Threat Assessment, Cyber tools, Microelectronics, Metallurgy, Advanced Robotics, Missile Defense Systems, Tactical Equipment, AI, Armored Vehicles, Forensic Genomics, Aviation, Aerospace, Ecology, Chemistry, Energy, Materials Science, Drug Delivery, Vaccines, In Vitro Tech, Bioweapons, Neurotechnology, Toxicology, Health, Military Health, Advanced Materials, and much much more.
They own and control the Brookhaven National Laboratory, Idaho National Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Los Alamos National Laboratory, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, National Biodefense Analysis and Countermeasures Center, and the National Ecological Observatory Network.
They developed the first nuclear fuel rods for nuclear reactors, numerous advances in metallurgy, algorithms and coatings used in the space programs, and an endless amount of other seemingly impossible discoveries.
Does anyone know anything about this company? I thought that this revelation was the most shocking part of the Podcast and want to look into it.
. . . . . . .
Also, Here is a walk-through of the part in the podcast where Jacques Vallee reveals the Battelle Memorial Institute.

Molecular Engineering is a new field; we were one of the first Molecular Engineering graduate programs in the world, and one of only two in the United States. Though MolES only opened in 2014, we have had many discoveries to share!
Molecular engineering itself is a broad and evolving field that seeks to understand how molecular properties and interactions can be manipulated to design and assemble better materials, systems, and processes for specific functions. Any time you attempt to change the object-level behavior of something by precisely altering it on the molecular level - given knowledge of how molecules in that "something" interacts with one another - you're engaging in a type of molecular engineering. The applications are endless! Some specific examples of Molecular Engineering research being done within the labs of the MolES Institute are:
Monoliths in California, Utah, and Romania. The Galactic Federation. Click bait asteroids.
