A lot of people seem to think that idols who are disposable are disposable because they are untalented/lack stage presence/aren’t unique. I disagree, I think that 95% of idols (groups and soloists) are replaceable because they have no creative input in any of their work. I mean, depending on your standards, all idols could be disposable, but I’m defining disposable as when an idol could be removed/replaced and the end product would be the same.
Not hating, but I think TWICE is a good example (keep in mind this applies to 95% of all groups). I’m not a TWICE expert, but I’m pretty sure none of them were particularly involved in the creation of their title tracks. They were given the lyrics, instructed on how to sing them, learned the choreography, and each outfit they wear was picked out by someone else. Pretty normal in the kpop industry. Yes, they have nice visuals and go viral for their looks. I agree that Nayeon has a unique vocal color that suits their songs. But you could replace any or all of the members and TT and Likey would be the same. Sure, there would be slightly different faces and voices, but everything else would be the same.
If you try to spout an argument like, well you can never replace their amazing 4-D personalities, the incredible bonds between the members, or some obscure talent that one of the members has, you are speaking from the perspective of a fan. Nothing wrong with that, but you would think and say the same things if your bias group had a different lineup, because these are generic traits that can be applied to literally any group.
Some companies try to play up the creative input of their idols. Yeah, idol X is so talented, they wrote both lines of their 5 second rap! Or they take one of the generic bsides and give one or two of the members writing credits (but never by themselves). I guess they contributed, but it’s pretty minor and not really significant to the end product.
Being talented doesn’t necessarily mean you’re not replaceable. I consider Ailee to have one of the best voices in kpop, but I would still consider her to be replaceable because she isn’t really involved in the creative process (as far as I know). Watch any Korean singing competition show and you’ll see so many non celebrity contestants who are just as good as Ailee.
Some idols genuinely are involved in the creative process and actually produce their own songs ( Gidle Soyeon, EXID LE, BTS Suga snd RM, Block B Zico, Seventeen Woozi, Shinee Jonghyun,... keep reading on reddit ➡
The way Wifi toggling works has changed in this version because of Google (check here). Please contact me via e-mail so I can help you fix it.
Unfortunately I can't link to the fix here because that's against Google Play policies.
Everyone can now access the latest Tasker features! 😁
If you don't want to wait for the Google Play update, get it right away here.
You can also get the updated app factory here.
Tasker can block calls even before they start ringing! Check out the demo!
You can now use a bunch of different dialog types in your tasks to help you get things done! Make your tasks ask you for files, dates, apps and more!
There are new types of variables in Tasker. These can be scoped to either your projects, your profiles your tasks. For example, if you have a project variable in project 1, that variable will not be accessible in project 2. This allows you to keep your Tasker setup much cleaner than before!
Even better these new variables can be configured when importing a Tasker project which results in the easiest imports ever! For example, if there is a profile that sets your phone to a certain volume on your home wifi, when you import it, it can ask you what your home Wifi network is and what volume you want to set and it’ll start to work without ever even having to open Tasker at all!
These are Android System dialogs that you can now show at anytime from any of your tasks!
Easily set multiple variables in a task in a single step! Very handy for setting default variables for a task for example, or to perform multiple math operations on multiple variables in a single step!

Hey guys. I needed some advice.
Some background- I ran a PS4/PSVR cafe here in Mumbai in 2016. It failed in one year but this was mainly due to choosing a terrible partner. I learned a lot of lessons on how to go about things. Now I am relocating to Kolkata and wanted to start a cafe solo. I have 3 systems, few games and accessories- enough so I don't need to spend anything more. I also have the finances to set things up nicely. There is no time frame so I can go there now(in Feb) and research, look around locations. There are 3 games that run the most(WWE, Fifa, COD and the occasional Mortal Kombat and others).
I need advice on how much do I charge and how can I get to 50k a month eventually. Would love some advice- Should it be an hourly charge(50 rs)- so a 4 player one hour session could be 200/- for 4 players. Should I have a membership system- 500 rs for a month and you can play 2 hours daily for a month? A combo or something? I also have heard Kolkata is cheaper than Mumbai. Would 50rs/- be reasonable? The PSVR doesn't really sell but it could be used as a novelty factor or side experience.
If I start with 2 systems- I would need eight 4 player groups daily to hit 50k(50rs per hour times 4). From previous experienced, I noticed it is possible. Groups come in and spend a few hours at FIFA or COD and eventually they keep coming over. This was the main cash flow.
Any advice is appreciated. I will look into situations, talk to people and incorporate the best ideas. Like I stated above- my investment will be minimal(less than 2 lakh) and I have a good net flow to sustain for a good amount of time.
I’m surprised more people don’t complain about this.
I run a 1GB Download with my PS4 being able to hit about 300mb/s. I play basically everything sports game but FIFA, and it’s crazy how different movement is offline to online.
I have to let go of Square early to get a green, I have to predict player movements ahead of time if sprinting to stop properly as well.
I’ve been playing this game for about 6 years now and it’s always been this way, I don’t know how people just put up with it.
So i started with Dota2 about 8 months ago. I have about 1.000 hours played now and looking back i would like to deliver a few insights/suggestions to guide future development/prioritization.
As getting a new player is likely a challenge and a priority to the game.
In no particular order
Ranked role queue game - Select roles UI
Shop and inventory
Game mode for new players
Dota2 plus stats
Both of those products are pretty thick/sticky by themselves but together create something that behaves much more ‘watery’.
I took this sub over some time ago and implemented some changes. The cooler the new feature, the more likely it is that u/Xeoth did it. Those changes included some of this stuff:
How are those changes for you guys? What else would you like to see? I’m still on the edge about implementing a scoring system out of fear that it becomes more of a competitive sub than a helping others sub. Any input?
Things are getting going and I'm very excited. I'm not going to respond as actively, because I need to be on my phone less in general.
We have a lot of very exciting developments, and we'd love to share soon, but I want to get input about what you want to see about pay and classification if it were put into a bill. I'm looking for bullet point, but feel free to elaborate.
The many responses I've been getting are incredible and I'm passing many on to our group as we move forward.
Currently there are some things that we are settled on, but if you really can't stand them please let me know why that is. So I'll start it off and please keep this going.
Lastly, I just want to say that whatever comes of this we need to be unified. There is a reason the Federal Government has been able to shit all over its workforce for decades, and if we want that to stop, if we want to see living wages and pay that reflects our duties then we need to stand with eachother. Grassroots Wildland Firefighters have been trying to build trust and unity and we are taking issues directly from firefighters on the ground to people of power.
We are going to make some suggestions coming up, but it is in our best interest if we can all get behind a common goal and send our support where it is needed.
The only way this happens is with a unified front, and we're going to be letting you know where that is soon.
