When browsing on some shady websites that aren't centered around pornography, I'm sure we've all had porn ads with either partial or full nudity pop up out of nowhere or on the sidebar. Just because you're on a website that requires 18 plus does not mean that it should be perfectly fine to show porn without the consent of the viewer. For example on Spotify I don't listen to any sexual content or sexual podcasts, however I get recommended a show called "hentai with senpai," and I have to deal with an extraordinarily sexualized hentai face on my home screen. I'm not even the only person who deals with that specific show showing up on their home screen unsolicited. So to reiterate, if exposing yourself to someone without their consent, even if they're 18 years old or up, is a crime, then it should also be a crime to show nude or sexual contents to people in pop up ads without their consent.
Why YSK: Many servers do not know or understand their rights. With these tough times, I've experienced this myself as a Bartender and had my restaurant try this on me. I know other servers are all experiencing a huge increase in dine and dashers. Top it off with most people only tipping 10% and its miserable.
My restaurant in California tried this on me recently. I showed them the law and told them it wasn't happening. They did not like that but they let it drop because to fire me over it would be an insane lawsuit. I'm going to quit soon but thats a different story.
YSK also that every state is a little different. Some states do allow it conditionally, but if you know your states laws, the restaurant will probably not mess with you. A lawsuit can dig up a nasty past and nobody can afford back pay right now. Bassisically, if they make it a problem, and you make it a bigger problem (lawsuit) they will go out of business. Especially right now.
This applies to a lot of things, like working off the clock, owners/managers taking tips, meetings / writeups off the clock, and many other small tricks they use to save money from you.
TLDR: If a restaurant threatens your paycheck, stand up them. They are probably legally wrong, can't afford a lawsuit, and will back down. If they don't, sue the crap out of them.
Orangutans are capable of sawing wood. What if I employed them in exchange for food and shelter?
A number of churches around the country openly called for the presidential election to be overthrown prior to the US Senate officially certifying the results. It seems that in years past, it was commonly accepted that campaigns ended when the polls closed. However, this year a sizable portion of the population aggressively asserted that the election would not be over until it was certified, even going as far as to violently interfere with the process.
Given this recent shift in the culture of politics, should calls to over-turn the election made by 501(c)(3) organizations prior to January 6th be considered "campaign activity" - effectively disqualifying them from tax-exempt status? Alternatively, if these organizations truly believed that wide-spread voter fraud took place, I suppose it could be argued that they were simply standing up for the integrity of our elections.
I know that even if a decent case could be made if favor of revoking the tax-exempt status of any 501(c)(3) organization that openly supported overthrowing the presidential election results, it is very unlikely that it any action would ever come of it. Nonetheless, I am interested in opinions.
(As an example, here are some excerpts from a very politically charged church service given in St. Louis, MO on January 3rd, during which, among other things, they encouraged their congregation to call Senator Josh Hawley in support of opposing the certification. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N18oxmZZMlM).
I just want to prank someone. The plan is to build a couple dozen dicks, put them in a bin for transport and place them around his bushes just off the sidewalk.
Is it considered vandalism? If he doesnβt like them he can just step on them afterall?
Edit: RIP inbox, honestly everyone I canβt stop laughing at the responses, thank you so much I really needed this, Iβll update when I do the βart installationβ.
