Hi. I was planning on using my jar of horseradish but it’s from 2017 and still sealed with its tamper still activated and vacuum seal in the jar. A) can I safely use this jar? And B) can I add this to mashed potatoes safely?
A side question. If the horseradish is bad, can I substitute the horseradish for Helmann’s garlic sauce?

Horseradish/horseradish sauce recipe to go with a smoked prime rib?
I’m doing a test run of a prime rib for Christmas dinner this weekend. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a horseradish sauce dip to pair with the prime rib? Planning on smoking it using almond wood if that helps. Personally I love stronger horseradish flavor but I know that isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. Anyone have any recipes they’ve tried that they’d like to link/share? Happy smoking everyone.
