Like a giant triple headed giraffe or Elk behemoths. Its a minor thing but it bothers me how many giant predators there are in Fallout (Deathclaws, Yao Guai) while there's no giant prey animals. I mean, what do they eat? I guess Brahmins but they're mostly farm animals and they aren't that big. Adding a giant leaf munching elephant would be nice. I think Fallout should have more wildlife variety.
Hi guys! So, I'm somebody who trying to figure out if humans are really suppose to be Vegans. Most of the evidence suggest that we are in fact herbivores in denial, but, there is one thing that's a little weird.
How come our stomach pH is so acidic? Herbivores are supposed to have less acidic levels in stomach, isn't it?
I'm curious what your thoughts are. If we indeed are herbivores, I can't wait to go vegan!
Also, would love to make some vegan friends. I don't really have any.

Like every session it just accumulates. I have added no food to my stash, not selling any with a health bar in store. I have sold some canned dog food but I don't think that spoils. I cannot account for my stash "growing" meat? Is it because I'm using the raider stash lol? Cleared out spoiled meat start of last session, before I logged off there was 10 new spoiled meats and they didn't stack together. They do have weight though.
EDIT: I think u/Kantusa has the right answer - "Pretty sure cranberry relish turns into spoiled meat when left too long in storage. Despite its interaction with herbivore and its lack of meat."
so the idea is the dogs start off being fed by the automated systems on an abandoned space ship, then move to catching fish is streams outside the ship when it breaks down, but some of the dogs will have to evolve to eat plants if a food chain is too form.
...how long would that take?
Title. On earth some of the fiercest land animals are herbivores. Hippos, Elephants, Rhinos, etc. And Elephants are widely regarded for their intelligence. Why then do so many stories include super powerful predator/carnivore species and weak or dumb herbivore/prey species. Imagine hippos/elephants, or some similar species but with opposable thumbs or something that could work as well as opposable thumbs. They would absolutely physically be able to put up a fight against some other species evolved from a predator. Also, some herbivores like hippos have evolved to be more aggressive and ready to fight than predators like crocodiles. Imagine a space fairing race evolved from hippos. They could easily be big, hulking, tribals with fierce competitions between clans and destroying entire worlds just to terraform them to better grow the grasses and plants they eat. (Just a quick rant)
EDIT: I realize generally predators and omnivores are more intelligent but in the HFY stories its about herbivores that have space flight capabilities so are obviously smart and have to have some type of advanced food infrastructure to provide nutrients to their brains.
I was watching a Debate with Avi vs Vegan Gains and it brought a valid question, if it's valid to kill a being that needed to kill humans to survive, why is it not valid to kill carnivorous animals ? I understand that there can be environmental factors for the food chain , but humans cause more of a problem just with their existence , and they kill both humans and other animals so then you could go down the rabbit hole of is it valid to kill humans , So I was aiming for more of an ethical approach.
If the excuse is that the carnivore's aren't as sentient or posses a strong enough sense of morality to understand what they ‘re doing, isn't that an even more valid excuse to kill them ? Also , how can we use
"Name the trait" to advocate on why other animals should have claim an equal level of value when it comes to it's murder by humans, but then it's a valid opinion to kill multiple animals in self-defense or to survive in a desert island but not a single human that hunts hundreds of animals.
Lastly, is it morally right to save an animal that will continue living to kill other animals ?
The Reason I'm asking is because I was considering volunteering this summer I was going to volunteered in a Charity organizations that saves seals , but I then read that not only do they throw dead fish in the temporary pool where the seals live , but later n live ones to teach them to survive. Is it really valid not only selecting to favor but actively kill a second animal over the first (just like dogs and pigs) , but also help an animal kills hundreds of other animals of the same sentients level ( You could argue that seals are mammals and are more valuable than fish , but I used it as an example , not to draw a direct parallel) ?
🤔so my buns are back to eat hay normally so then the vet told us we can stop feeding her ~!
But there are still quite amount of the leftover critical care in package. ( with zipper bag ) I’ve read through the oxbow website and it’s state that it can be store up to 30 days once it opened/ freeze it and can have extra 6 months shelf life !
But I’m wondering does vacuum sealing + freezing does helps to keep longer time ~? 🤔 Does anyone have any other extra tips for them ~~?
Wish everyone have their healthy buns!!💖 Thank you!!💖
Just a little lore question from someone that din't see everything: is there any mentions of temtem being eaten by humans or eating other temtem? Can be a minor mention to It or any reference to eating meat even with no explaining of what it is The closes thing i can think of is the fact that there are fishermen, so there must be a substantial consumer base of fish-like temtem meat (or the market for ornamental Koish is really booming), outside that i can't remember much else Any help?
EDIT: so no meat on temtem world :( but If their vegan meat is good i can live with It
Now what about things like milk and other animal products? Does Ganki make honey? Does Capyre milk comes out warm? So many questions remain 🤔
I felt like it'd be bit more realistic for herbivores, at least for ground herbivores, to gain little amounts of food, actual amount depending on metabolism rate. I mean, real animals can also gain small amount of food by grazing, so why don't dinosaurs do?
I love the Herbivore Pink Cloud Cleanser. Unfortunately for me everyone else does too, so it’s often sold out.
I noticed this new Pacifica cleanser at Target recently, and thought what the hell, why not give it a try. They have some ingredients in common (Sodium Hyaluronate, Glycerin, Tremella, possibly more)
From here on I will refer to the Pink Cloud Cleanser as PC, and the Pacifica Dream Jelly Cleanser as DJ
My skin: somewhat dry, but with some hormonal breakouts
INITIAL OBJECTIVE COMPARISONS:
Price PC: $24 DJ: $12
Volume PC: 3.38 fl oz. (100mL) DJ: 4.7 fl oz. (139 mL)
Packaging PC: clear glass bottle DJ: frosted blue/white opaque glass bottle
Texture PC: like jelly, so liquidy but still holds a little bit of shape once dispensed DJ: more like a traditional gel cleanser, but also sort of feels slightly sticky like hand soap
Scent PC: pleasant rose, not overpowering at all (scent comes from rose water) DJ: also like pleasant rose, but maybe slightly more rose-y (makes sense, because scent comes from rose extract/oil)
Lather PC: lathers a surprising amount, given the unique jelly texture DJ: Does not lather much, if at all
MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCES:
PC: The very first thing I noticed with this cleanser is how forceful the pump is. Like, it will shoot a pump of product across the bathroom if you’re not careful. So, dispense slowly.
I was really pleasantly surprised at how little product I needed to wash my whole face due to how effectively it lathered up. I didn’t need more than about 1 pump per wash.
It felt really nice on my skin. It felt like it was cleansing effectively while not stripping my skin. If you wear eye makeup and/or full foundation, you will probably want to use a cleansing balm beforehand, but it does a good and thorough job. If you have very dry skin, then you may find this cleanser to be a bit too drying, especially if you use more than 1 pump. I finished the whole bottle.
Overall thoughts on Pink Cloud: a really nice and effective cleanser that feels quite luxurious to use and lathers in a satisfying way. It may not be suitable to those who have very dry or very oily skin. I think that for how little product is needed per use, it isn’t a bad bang for your buck. It didn’t perform any miracles for me, but I also don’t think that’s a realistic expectation to have of any product. I would recommend and purchase again (if it’s ever back in stock, lmao)
