So I have noticed that around my hairline/where the hardhat sits, my hair has started to seriously break and im getting little baby hairs and fly away's. Some dude even called me medusa today (lol jerk face).
I have noticed some ladies around site that wear a bandanna of sorts under their hat? However, just curious if you have any ideas/tips & tricks that work for you, or that you know of.
Thanks ladies! Work safe out there x
FINALLY. We got a map that isnt some gigantic snoozefest filled with tons of windows/camping spots and empty space. And gee i didnt know it was possible to have a map NOT set in some rundown russian/middle eastern shithole with the worst color palette imaginable.
In every game mode players are running and gunning, playing the objective, and having a blast. The map is bright, balanced, and has normalized spawns.
Look, I get there is a market for players who want strategic gameplay/modes, large maps, and verticality. But Infinity Ward needs to stop trying to reinvent the wheel. THIS is what makes call of duty great. We need more maps like this in the future. It feels like the MW2/MW3 days with streamlined gameplay. Lets hope its just the beginning.
Edit: for those claiming people are still camping, wait till you learn the map. Unlike the rest of this game, hardhat doesnt have 600 fuckin sight-lines and hidden head glitches. Youll be able to smoke any bum who tries to camp on hardhat... keep reading on reddit ➡
When I load into the map Hardhat on Hardcore (TDM and/or Kill Confirmed) it resets my FOV back to what looks like 60. My FOV slider still is at 120 but the actual in-game FOV looks like 60. I have to restart my game to get my FOV to go back to normal and it only happens on that map.
If anyone have a fix for this that doesn't require me leaving my game and restarting it that would be great :)

This is the first COD I've ever played on multiplayer and I dont think I've ever enjoyed a game quite as much as this, or at least had fun as much I have on it. After seeing a lot of people talk about bringing back Hardhat (which I'd never played) I was excited to see it. Well, I've played a good bunch of matches on Hardhat and can honestly say I hate it, potentially my least favourite map. Interested in what people like about it...
Waiting in queue so I decided to share some thoughts on this map.
I never played MW3, so all the posts about Hardhat nostalgia never really applied to me, but as someone with no emotional connection to the map, Hardhat is by far my favorite map in MW right now. The way the map flows and the paths you can take are all clear, fairly straightforward, and easy to learn. My friends think the map is bad because of the tunnel down mid, but to me, that tunnel is the reason why the map is so good.
The LITERAL heart of the map (I actually call it heart when playing with friends) where the tunnel is has been surprisingly not as campy and easily counterable if you have map awareness and are aware of where your teammates are pushing. Enemies holding the heart of the map? I see my teammates are pushing long B-side, I'll flank around with someone else on A side to sweep the enemies out of mid. Now my team controls "heart." It's almost like a battle for the core of the map, but I don't feel that ca... keep reading on reddit ➡
Hello So I’ve been working at a sawmill for just over a year and obviously have to wear a hardhat. Before the covid lay off I developed a cyst on my forehead where my hard hat sits on my forehead. I got it removed by a doctor, however I developed another one since we went back to work 3 weeks ago. I worked residential before this so never had to wear a hardhat before. Any suggestions on what I should use to help cushion or prevent this from happening again? It’s really hot in the mill so wearing a toque is not an option really until winter. Thanks all
Because of the digusting camp culture of this game, the old head glitches of the map are being abused with mounting. Sitting at some place or another with m4 and graus with only there head sticking out in a dark room. Hardhat used to be one of my favourite maps in mw3 and now its just not the same. The only enjoyable game modes are hardpoint and domination. Everything else flows like shit.
This one is pretty simple. If this is your first time playing Hardhat on MW, the best way to do well and have fun is to constantly focus on running through the pipe in the middle of the map, even better is to do it with your buddies all lined up.
Don't worry about the guy with the sniper at the end of the pipe, he has good intentions.
I appreciate everyone voting and was just wondering what other people in the community think. Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion but I would like to see what you guys have to say in the comments 🙂
It’s expected to be a fast paced map but realistic ally the only things that happen are that a team sits and camps in the centre or they camp at one of be two head glitch spots.
MW3 was a good game and had a few good maps (outpost, Dome and Seatown to name a few) but I’m general they were bad and not well paced.
I played 3 games of the map and could not enjoy how it felt. I was running an mp5. But I am open to here people’s opinions on how to even play the map because I feel like there are just so many head glitches and corners to sit in that makes it hard to play the map in a aggressive way. Let me know your thoughts
The 3 best maps in the game in my opinion are Hardhat, Khandor Hideout, and Shoothouse. Hovec Sawmill is really good too, but those 3 maps are better. They should name it Hardhidehouse, or Shoot the Hidden Hat, or something of that matter. I don’t know if other people agree with me, but i think it’s a good idea!
Just played the map right now and I loved it so much! The spawns on this map worked very well, the movement of players was so much faster compared to many other maps and I loved that. Not many new changes done to Hardhat from MW3 besides more colorful.
This map is definitely one I'm loving having in MW!
Do you think it’ll be fun and nostalgic?
Campy ass map. There are people on every fucking corner of this map. Everyone in a corner or head glitching. Pretty much the team that spawns by the bulldozer (A spawn) is gonna camp while the other teams just keeps getting killed.
Can’t wait to get shoothouse or shipment playlist back.
I have to know.
I know that the XOX version of MW is not as optimized as the PS4 version (some campaign missions and Piccadilly really show this), but I still think that the performance problems shouldn't be as significant as they currently are, especially on Hardhat since it's not that impressive in terms of visuals or scale.
I'm a construction worker and i like to ride my motorcycle to work for long distance job sites. I would love to find a good backpack lunchbag that has room for my hardhat too.
I have a 93 yamaha seca ii xj600 if it matters. Also, does anyone have any good saddle bags or rear seat luggage rack ideas incase i have a toolbag with me? Its one of those bikes that doesnt have alot out there for it.
I can't be the only one who wonders "where's Terminal?" it's been in every MW (and IW) except MWR so why haven't we got it yet I understand COVID-19 is slowing down content all but it's a legendary map so many good memories.
I see a lot of love for the map on the sub, yet I find that it just encourages pub stomping, explosives, camping, and shit spawns. I have had basically no fun playing it. Downvote me if you want
I played a few games not expecting it to be as fun as I remembered, seeing how some of the rebooted maps play like crap in this game, but I was pleasantly surprised.
First of all, I haven’t been spawn-killed once yet. The spawns on this map seem like some of the best yet, and I always know roughly which direction the enemy will be coming from when I start a new life. It’s not like some of the other maps where you spawn with enemies all around you.
I’ll have to keep playing it to be certain, but so far I give this map 2 thumbs up. I’m hoping to see it featured in more playlists after this week’s 24/7 playlist changes.
In my opinion this map should have stayed in mw3, it was a perfect map for the flow and play style of mw3. But it’s not the one on this game I have joined at least 10 matches halfway through every single time and my team is getting violated wether it be any of the game modes.
Yeah maybe some people might tell me yeah ‘git gud’ how can I do that when there is someone mounting, laying down and headcamping every single lane that takes you to the middle of the map?? Who thought this map was a good idea for this game and who the fuck thought it would be fun to put a wall where you can mount on behind a fucking digger with hardly any visibility from the other persons point of view cos not only is there a wall, a digger but there is also a dark shadow cast over where that exact wall is
I loved this map back in MW3 and honestly still love it after playing the remastered version for a couple games. Not much of the layout has changed except for door placements, which I don't think should've been added but I can get past it. What I can't get past is the amount of campers sitting around every corner I turn. Every match I've played so far on this map there's been an abundance of them and it pisses me off. Also people seem to want to travel in groups so when I turn a corner there's also two or more standing together and I can't get all the kills. This has soured my experience a little bit but I still love what IW has done with the map.
Hardhat was a good MW3 SND competitive map, and could play well for HP too. Will they consider adding it to the CDL rotation?
EDIT: Same could be said for maps like Crash, Backlot and Vacant. Time for a re-evaluation of CDL maps?
EDIT 2: Hopefully UMG will at least add it to their competitive SND maps like they did with Crash and Vacant
Personally I find the map infuriating on TDM. It just devolves into camping. It seems everytime I play TDM there is a solid minute where I can't find anybody and when I do they are camping in a corner. I do, however, enjoy playing the map on hardpoint or domination. With the previously mentioned game modes it is not as campy because it is an objective game mode. Overall I enjoy the map but would like to hear what other people think.
And it was pretty good! Felt like how it did on mw3, not really many campers. Everyone was moving, not many doors and just the right size for this game and 6v6. Not to say that given some time the scum that is this games llayerbase will ruin it though thanks to IWs policy of new players and camping encouragement along with poor gunfight mechanics and hit detection.
I played 3 matches, each one worse than the one before. Everybody is posted somewhere. If they are not posted, they are camping the spawns for longshots or whatever. It's sad. IW should give all those camo grinders their beloved shipment 10v10 so that others 24/7 playlist aren't riddled with them. It takes away all the fun playing against those people. It breaks the flow of the map. At least on Shoothouse you know people are gonna mount on the middle lane and you can avoid it. Here every fucking corner has someone posted up. It really makes the experience unenjoyable, especially if you played a shit ton of Hardhat back in the day.
IW, please, either revamp the camo challenges or give those people a camo fest playlist with only shipment 10v10. Please. Give us normal, non camo grinders players a break. We've been dealing with this shit since launch.
Is anyone else getting slaughtered every single game in Hardhat 24/7? I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not the best player, but I can’t recall ever getting beaten this badly in any other game mode
I've pretty much stopped playing multi-player since they removed Dirty Old Houseboat. Guess I got spoiled by only playing the maps I like all the time. Anyone else? I feel like Dirty Old Houseboat is a MUST for them to have active all the time. That or Cabin Fever.
I think Hardhat in MW is decent but it doesn't feel like Hardhat, it feels new but with familiar locales I guess is how you'd put it. It feels new but old and I welcome it after Rust. Spawns are questionable sometimes but that's an MW problem.
What are your thoughts?
